Guys I have just been excepted into anther game with a PC that is very much like this one. So I am going to pull out the running, have a great game and good fun.

I was going over my PC and felt elf would be much better, for skills and weapons and her over all fee. So made her a dusk elf.


Just need to add in 2 more traits and her item spend, but looks good

Rosa at last can talk her shock wearing off, she says with some urgency.

"I do not need you Zaharin for what I am about to do, unless you can fly you will only slow me down. I will and I must find those children, it is a matter of faith with me and some thing simply I must do. I have to make clear to you all what I will be doing next here."

She takes off her sleeves and her cloths turn back into a fine dress, then placing the magic sleeves back on again they her cloths transform into a blue flying harness the same shade as her hair. She straps her things to it and then takes out her wayfinder and campus, She looks at the Gnome.

"Tell me quick witch way they went, if I am fast I may find them before any harm comes to them."

Once she is shown she walks to the door, stepping outside she spreads her wings and with two beats is off into the air, heading the way she has been told, Slowly and carefully just above tree tops.

GM, could we have a call here:

its not a big one and I happy to go with GM word of law on this.

Im saying you do not need to roll AKA take 10, on a skill to know about Gnome Bleaching as its common knowledge about a core race.

Glyndon says is not common knowledge and warrants a knowledge skill roll, if not a Gnome, as its common knowledge for gnomes but not by fault other race etc. (I hope I have that right Glyndon.)

I think we both agree this depends on the World the GM has made etc.

If your happy Glyndon with a simple GM call on this, I think we have laid out our augments well, I'm not going to add any more, and will happy abide with what ever the GM says.

this is my point of view and its just that my view:

With respect, But I am not responsible for your emotions, you comments would have been right if related to a full outsider, but a native one is linked to the prime and lives there. Also as a Cleric and a healing on at that, Rosa has and dos deals with Gnomes ailments on a day to day bases, when not running around the woods for the Pathfinders. The sickness known as the bleaching is well known. Just limiting it to race, is I feel limiting, you have to take into account exposure to knowledge from Class and back story. I find looking at the full richness of a PC as to most games, would you not agree. I'm not trying to be a pain just pointing out its commonly known to healer. I can see that I seem to have hit a pet-piv of yours and yes knowledge that is genuinely hard to come by should be under the knowledge skills, but as I have said this is not hard to come by knowledge, most who live and work around Gnomes, healers who deal with them, and any one who's seen a bleached Gnome beggar and ask whats happened, they are core race not some thing odd larking in the lake you only see now and then. Gnomes are known for there chatter and getting the to NOT tell you their dread of the bleaching would hard to do, or the family members "whos, showing the signs" would be very hard to do. This is a thing that effects an entire core race, it would be like saying, "O you don't know Half Orcs have a bit of a grumpy side and Temper wile they do like to smash things". Yes in a game world where half Orcs are not often seen, but here in this one, We just came from a city, and my PCs and educated healer, " Today we will be studding Gomes, Class 101, there main, illness and healing needs, To start, rashes from riding dogs and the bleaching..." I do so hope you see my point here, its a take 10 on heal, local you name it. :)

Q: What is GNOME bleaching?

A: Given
"Gnomes, are linked long ago to the 1st world and the life of a fay, in this world Gnomes need to be stimulated, like fay they need a life of color and metal richness, if they do not get that, they start to fade from the world, they bleach in color going gray and there hart sinks, until they just end. It can take years, but all Gnomes dread it, for it means the end to most, for this old Gnome to have Bleached and still be in the world, takes some thing akin to unlife, but not undead, its a state of mind I am told some get post Bleaching. I have never meet some Gnome who has, I wander what has kept him in the world"

Its about Gnomes and not fay, yes some info about fay is in there but the bleaching is known, very very very well known, its a Historic fact of a complete PC race. The Fay part comes into play in Gnome history, Its a well known and often talked by a PC class.

'The Bleaching' is a Curse that affects very middle aged Gnome that does not adequately seek out new and interesting experiences runs the risk of experiencing the Bleaching. Each year that the gnome doesn’t act to mitigate their boredom, they may start to suffer from The Bleaching.

Gnomes -> common Knowledge.
Gnomes are distant relatives of the fey, and their history tells of a time when they lived in the fey's mysterious realm, a place where colors are brighter, the wildlands wilder, and emotions more primal. Unknown forces drove the ancient gnomes from that realm long ago, forcing them to seek refuge in this world; despite this, the gnomes have never completely abandoned their fey roots or adapted to mortal culture. Though gnomes are no longer truly fey, their fey heritage can be seen in their innate magic powers, their oft-capricious natures, and their outlooks on life and the world.

Now if the Q had been how are the FAY linked to GNOME bleaching you could say a "Monster Lore" roll was needed, and so you would be right, as Nature is the fay Monster Knowledge skill, but it was about Gnomes
and they are core race not Monster.

Note/ Humans, elf, dwarf etc no core races are in there,
as knowledge of the core races is common knowledge and saying a skill Knowledge roll is needed to know your own race say brakes the game.

As its a well know fact to the point is DC10 or less and so taking 10 etc no roll is needed, but if one was then

under the rules it says.

Untrained

You cannot make an untrained Knowledge check with a DC higher than 10. If you have access to an extensive library that covers a specific skill, this limit is removed. The time to make checks using a library, however, increases to 1d4 hours. Particularly complete libraries might even grant a bonus on Knowledge checks in the fields that they cover.

As its a 10 take 10 etc, but I would say as its so well known a roll is not needed. Using skills for all facts as has has been said in overview-of-pathfinders-skills-knowledge-and-linguistics a Knowledge Tax.

Did not know what skill you would asks for so rolled a 20 and will add skill -/+ N etc GM. Do not really know what Baltazar was asking me to use, now matter what it was with a 5 thats going to be a fail I would say, even +8 Perception unless... GM says other wise :)

What could they be doing, she knows to stay back, they are used to this kind of thing and look like they know what they are about. She looks at the trees and shudders.

"what hellish magic has happened her, what corruption of nature, do not like this one bit."

She looks at the implacable elf by her, his face as hard as the ice under foot, eyes every where and always seeking whats in the dark. She feels safer knowing he is close. But still a feeling of Dread in this land of cold.
