How do you estimate the relevance of Golarion in the future of Pathfinder products?

Will Paizo cling to Golarion as a setting world? Will they concentrate on a new setting in the future?

Which role does D&D 5. Ed play? Is Paizo forced to create a new setting in preparation for D&D Next?

Are there any plans or interests for Pathfinder RPG Science-Fiction rules or a nice Science Fiction Setting?

I liked the Buck Rogers 20th Century and AD&D Alternity game. It won't be too much work doing a conversion or some nice SF rules.

I am looking for a witty or funny adventure in older Dungeon magazines. Does anyone remember one?

As an example there was a "wedding" adventure in the Dungeon magazine, where the PCs had to organize a wedding ceremony.

Another one had a hijacked Faery Dragon as main topic.

Are there any new races in the book?

"Golarion" is certainly not a campaign world with a big main story theme.

However, does anyone have a suggestion for huge global campaign topics, like war, conquest etc?

What could be a central element of a campaign? So far only a story centered around the worldwound comes into my mind.

Where do I find rules for Campaign traits?

(E.g. mentioned in Howl of the carrion king p.8)

Seems that I missed the best, since I do not have both Crimson Throne and Legacy of Fire.

it really depends on your likes/dislikes do you prefer dungeon crawls or setting aside rules for a good cut scene? Wilderness or city, or underground? more modular adventures or ones that fit the big story better?

Well, certainly. Which of your keywords can be attributed to any of the paths?

What in your opinion is the best Adventure Path so far? It would be interesting to include also the "old" Dungeon Adventure paths in this poll.

Rise of the Runelords
CotCT
Second Darkness
Legacy of Fire

Dungeon: Shackled City
Age of Worms
Savage Tide

Concerning the map folios: I thought, they contain only the same maps as already in the adventure path, in addition some battle grids and encounter plans. If not so, the marketing of this products were bad.

Are the "map folio" maps identical to known maps?

Are there any poster or foldout maps in any pathfinder product? So far, I only know the maps in the Pathfinder Campaign Setting Book.

I would be happy, If there will be some foldout maps in the future like in the good old TSR boxed sets.

I am a huge Pathfinder fan since the start of the series. Pathfinder Beta was great, also the adventure paths.

However, for me its getting worse. The unfolded rule changes for the final version are odd.

For example I was a huge fan of the Beta Cleric Domain rules, channel energy and the Sorcerer. The rules were great and innovative. Why was it changed backwards? That takes the playtest into the absurd.

I fear now that all rules I likes and preserved me for playing the 4E are changed or nullified.

Also the quality of the companions and chronicles is getting worse. Absalom and Osirion was really cutty and not so good like the ones before.

Please Paizo, dont change to much in the final Version. Please dont forget the Epic rules. Please make the companions and chronicles not too short.

Are there any spells which have been modified in Pathfinder RPG?

Beside shapechange I can not find anything so far.

Somewhere I read that cure spells are now given randomly. That I can also not find in the book.

What exactly is the current standing of LA and racial HD?

How exactly does multiclassing work in Pathfinder?

Has anything been changed compared to the 3.5?

What does the change in the favored class ability mean for multiclassing?

Did anyone tested the "Practiced Spellcaster feat" in Pathfinder RPG?

Is it compatible with the Pathfinder multiclassing rules?

Despite there have been already some discussion about prestige classes.

Unfortunately I did not follow them in detail.

Is it possible to use 3.5 PrCs in the Pathfinder game (apart from the PrC conversion classes)?

Did anyone tested it? Does it make sense?

Up to which number of PrCs is it playable?

What does one need for a conversion? Only skill conversion? Or also the feats/levels etc.

Thanks for help.

Can someone explain me the key elements of the Pathfinder RPG?

What are the major changes compared to 3.5?

What is the focus of interest?

Thanks for help.

What about making threat-ranges character class defined?

1. Each character class would have a value for rechecking a critical threat range.

2. If a an attack roll has reached the critical threat range, a character has to roll his personal critical hit ability instead of a second attack dice for rechecking.

E.G. a Barbarian would have a higher threat range than a Wizard.

I would like the idea, that there is a success number for turning undead, even if the undead has a significant higher CR than the cleric.

Consider the turning table in AD&D 2. Ed. It was a lot fun to turn even a lich with a lucky turn roll.

Here is a proposal for the number of attacks each character has.

It would combat give some great new aspects if the attack values for each number of attacks would be different.

So far we have a fixed -5 for the secondary attack.

What if this value would be variable and can be modified by feats or class?

Consider a e.g. Ranger which has +8/+8 instead of +10/+5

Or a wizard wich has only a +10/+1 instead of +10/+5

Or a fighter which chooses to drop his secondary attack completly and has +13/+0 instead of +10/+15

In my opinion this would give character classes and combat some wonderful new facets.

Here is a proposal for the Skill System:

I would propose to invent some class-exclusive skills. Skills which only certain character classes or races can use.

In 3.5 the problem was solved with cross-classed skills or feats (tracking). Or you had a special text in the skilldescription that you only can use it if you have a special class (e.g. magic traps). Disadvantage is that there is an unbalanced number of skillpoints.

It would give the game some nice new character options:

What about:

Exclusice Rogue Skills:
Disarm magic traps
Pick locks
Critical hit chance

Exclusive Ranger Skills:
Tracking

Exclusive Mage Skills:
Ancient Arcana

Exclusive Bard Skills:
Bard Song

etc.

Here is a proposal for a skill system:

A percental skill (W100) system would be better than a D20 Skillsystem

- better probability distribution

- more options for each character

- the system was already used in the TSR Buck Rogers Game and in AD&D 2. Edition for Bards and Rogues. It has been proven that it works fine.

- You dont need any DCs. Its just a percentage check with boni or mali which is more intuitive.

disadvantage:

- it is not a D20 throw anymore

What do you think?
