I already made my own thread, but seeing as there's a thread like this, I hope you'll see no harm in me asking the same question twice. So here goes. I'm looking for somebody who's tried running the alpha client on Linux, with what ever middleware they've seen suitable. Did you get it to run? I am currently pondering whether to buy access to EE or not, and wouldn't like to take a blind leap. I'd be extremely thankful for any input from somebody with proper information.
To the best of my knowledge none of those in Alpha are attempting it in wine on LINUX. A shame to hear that, but I'll remain hopeful of some good soul having tested it.
Hi there, I am not in the alpha personally, but now that Early Enrollment is about to arrive, I am looking to possibly get into it. What I would like to know before making a purchase however is, what sort of experiences have Linux users had if any of them have been in the Alpha. I don't mind if there's some work there to be done to make the client run, but on the other hand I don't want to blindly take a risk and buy myself a client for which there might be no way to make it work. Terribly sorry if this has been answered before. Tried searching around with both, the search tool and some search engines. Cheers! |
