Kriger looks to the others. "Well? What are we willing to give up, fellas? I'm sure we've got something that's worth... you know... something." He shrugs.

She turns to Oberlin: "That might work, but wouldn't a new general rise? Until you've take Irovetti, he'll just find a new general, no?"

Kriger just stares a moment before raising a single eyebrow and breaking into a mischievous grin. He leans over near Marcel, "Nice find, buddy. I think she's gonna work out well," he shoots a wink and leans back out, keeping most of his attention focused upon this seductive woman, thinking of things he shouldn't be thinking of and will not be mentioned here considering... this is a family friendly game. ;)

Drawing his hands down his face in frustration, the ranger can only shake his head at the seriously lack of odds that are in their favor. "You gotta be kidding me. An army of trolls? And wyverns? Is this a joke? How does he manage to form that kind of army? Are you kidding me?! Have I asked if this was a joke yet? And it's not a good one either, just so you know," he states adamantly. Leaning back in his chair and stroking his beard in thought, he eventually comes to an excellent and well thought out conclusion. "Well, we gotta take out those trolls. And the wyverns. But mostly the trolls. Because those things just won't die."

I actually am not able to learn 4th level spells. Either I'm not high enough level or my Wisdom is not high enough. Or both. :P That Wind Walk is super cool though.

"Got the broom. And if we've got one of those vials of invisibility then I'll take it. Otherwise, I'll manage." As Malaswyn casts his spell on Kriger, the ranger grins wryly. "Excellent. Okay, fellas, be back in a heartbeat," he winks. And with that, the warrior's form becomes insubstantial and he takes off outside and through the open sky, heading what he hopes is in the direction of the Tiger Lords.

So I can still carry all my gear while I'm wind walking, correct? Because if not I'm in BIG trouble.

"Yeah, I got one. When do I leave? Would 'now' be a good time? Because I'm thinkin' 'now' would be a good time," he states, slightly turned toward the door, acting as if he's about to walk out.

Does Kriger know where the Tiger Lords would be located? Roughly anyway?

Eyes going wide and a 'crazy' smile forming as he's just remembered something, "The Tiger Lords, Chief. I'm the leader of the Tiger Lords. I think it is definitely time to call them up." Rubbing his hands together and grinning that arrogant grin, "I love it when a plan comes together."

Stuck in thought for a long moment, Kriger finally speaks up. "Guerilla warfare, hm? Now we're talking. That's my kind of plan. Let him come to us and let's pick 'em apart on his way here." He nods approvingly, grinning confidently. "I can't wait."

Kriger's eye begins to twitch as the news infuriates him to the point of exploding. Trying hard not to destroy... something, he takes a deep breath and pauses a moment before finally grinning and speaking in a strangely calm voice. "Okay. So what we have is Pitax about to attack our lands and erase us from existence. Well, I think I've come up with the correct response for that. I'm going to go - to Pitax that is - and kill Irovetti and his people. It'll be no problem. I'll simply remove his head from his shoulders, find the nearest balcony of his castle, yell loud enough to make sure everyone hears me and then throw his head down at their feet. And then I'll do the same with that dumb brute of his. And that annoying <blankety blank> woman as well who should already be dead but is not. Once I'm done tossing their heads at the feet of their people, I will then throw that stupid dog's head as well. After that, I do believe then we can take over Pitax for ourselves and execute anybody and everybody who also decides to piss me off." He then thinks on it if he's missed anything, as his eye continues to twitch while still grinning, and eventually he nods in approval at himself thinking that that just about covers it. "Thoughts?" he asks politely, almost to the point of creepy.

Nodding, "I'm on it, Chief. They won't get past the border if I have anything to say about it. Or if they do, they will be hurtin' a plenty." he says with absolute confidence. He then catches the 'look' by Kalsgrim. "Okay okay. Scout patrol ONLY. But I sure wouldn't mind cutting a hundred of them or so down," he admits as he stares off into the dreamland of killing several hundred bad guys, and oddly enough, he sees himself wielding Ovinrbaane as he does. Kriger grins almost creepily.

Flying carpet near the border. Some type of 'walkie talkie' type magic would be cool. Does that exist in D&D? Because that would be cool. Do I need a team of scouts? How do we go about doing that if that's what we do? Because that would be kind of cool too. I could control them ALL. Kriger and his band of merry men... I mean scouts. :) Of course, I can't have them getting killed either. It's a catch 22. Stupid catch 22.

After a moment, he subtly cuts his eyes toward the others before saying, "Anyway, you might want to tell Irovetti that he doesn't want to push this. Or we'll give him a war he won't believe. He can't even begin to know what we're capable of," he says before looking around at the others and shrugging. "I'm just sayin' that we'll do whatever we have to to protect our land and our people. "And just for the record, this 'Lady Drelev' or whoever she is should be dead. I saw her JUMP from the top balcony. No way she could've survived that. And when we went and looked for her, she was gone. Not a trace of anything of where she landed. Personally, I don't think she is who she says she is. It's either that or she's hiding something. Relaxing his grip a bit, Kriger acquires a look that easily speaks of his level of annoyance toward the news. "Arrest us?! He better bring an army to do it then because we will NOT be going quietly. "I may or may not be paranoid and played into Irovetti's hands, but my gut tells me the time for peace has passed."

He looks at Kalsgrim. "I distinctly remember talking about the River Freedoms and the danger we were in coming to Pitaxian soil. I hate being right."

Kriger narrows his eyes and a maniacal grin forms. "HA-HA! Excellent! You're sure there's only fifty? Kinda light if you ask me, but, whatever. They all die the same," he says as he grabs his axe and tests the edge, cutting himself. Nodding triumphantly, "Oh yeah, she's still sharp. Just say the word, Chief. Just say the word."

It seems he's been heard though, as you hear a familiar voice say, from outside the tent: "Duke, is that you? This is Jamandi of the Aldori. It seems we'd better talk..."

Kriger walks over to the pipsqueak, grabs his face and then shoves him aside. "We're not going to kill you. Well, as long as you don't get in our way we won't. Beat it, pipsqueak. And if Nunzio ask if we're here, tell him the truth. Tell him we're here. Because if you don't he's going to know it and then he'll kill you for lying. So I'm trying to help you stay alive. And when you do tell him, tell him we ain't going anywhere. As a matter of fact, tell him we'll be coming to see him real soon. Yeah, I think that's about right." He then looks toward the outer covering of the tent and calls out, "Come on in, Jamandi, we're in here." Kriger gets a firm grip upon his axe just in case this is some kind of trick.

Marcel stands up from where he was sitting in the dark corner of their pavilion. Padding softly into the soft light of the lanterns, he nods briefly to Kalsgrim. "I apologize for my sudden disappearance. It seems like we have walked into a nest of hornets, the murderous kind, and I felt my talents would be best used in the shadows, rather than feasting or watching Kriger fail to cut a log in two. Not that I saw that or anything." he says with a wink.

Kriger doesn't budge as an annoyed grin forms while shaking his head. "See? I told you. Of course, I knew he was behind us the whole time," he lies freely but sports a wry grin. "But he's getting better, I'll give him that," he returns a jab from the rogue with one of his own.

"I say our Chief goes out there and destroys the competition tomorrow. What better way to embarrass Irovetti and his dog food of a team. We need to WIN! And win big," he says with an emphatic nod.

Lol! I mean, Hey! Wait a minute! :)

"Actually, Chief, if it's okay with you, I'd be interested in seeing what Marcel has come up with. And to be honest, I'm pretty good at being discreet but not like Marcel. That fella could walk into a prayer vigil with bells on and still nobody would hear him," he confesses, albeit rather unwillingly. "By the way, don't tell him I said that. He blinks a couple of times as his mind processes the words the mage spoke, he waits for the toast and the 'here here's' to die down before leaning in. "I gotta say, I agree with Oberlin. I think he's on to something; and I'm not sure how in the deepest layer of the Abyss we are going to be able to stop King Freakshow without putting an end to him. It just makes too much sense." The ranger leans back out again and strokes his beard in thought as he glances over at the king. Yeah I got an axe just waiting for you and your crony. I just need you to give me a reason. Kals wouldn't take to kindly to me just walking over and burying my axe in your skull, you see, so I'm going to need a little help from you. And I'm pretty positive that at some point you're going to give me that help. BUT, if you don't, I'll probably just 'accidentally' bury my axe in your skull anyway. It's possible! Yes to attending the feast. While the investigation idea would be interesting, it's fantastically daring. We would REALLY need a spell of invisibility. Or a potion. Invisibility would just make it a ton safer.

Finally finishing off the first log, Kriger quickly moves to the second one.

Frustrated from losing his grip due to sweaty palms during his previous attack, Kriger figures that's probably going to cost him as he moves on to the next one.

Round 6: Log 3:

Kriger rolls his eyes as his slippery hands are failing him miserably. Nevertheless, he continues on relentlessly.

As he FINALLY obliterates the log, he hurries to the next one.

Attack #1: Mwk Greataxe w/PA/furious focus: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (11) + 22 = 33

Attack #3: Mwk Greataxe w/PA: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Damage: 1d12 + 22 ⇒ (1) + 22 = 23

Well that totally sucked. Fell 3 hp's shy of destroying it. Of course.

Unable to bust that last log, Kriger goes on a swearing tirade and mightily buries the axe blade into the ground - seeing that's all he can really hit anyway - before making his way back over to the others and resorting to cursing under his breath while he does so.

Speak with animals, got it.

Kriger cuts his eyes between Malaswyn and Oberlin and sighs quietly. "Fine. But I'll still be keeping an eye out."

Narrowing his eyes, he leans in near Malaswyn again. "THAT was the laugh I heard. And apparently he's hired a toy guard to protect him. Boy is he stupid. He should've hired ten. Because that surely won't be enough to keep me from cutting them both down to nothing without even breaking a sweat. Rookies."

Kriger keeps his drinking to a minimum. A very minimum. Especially since stranger guy(yeah I don't remember his name at all) and his people warned them of Irovetti.

We can really just zap back to the capital like that? Seriously? Man that's crazy wild. Magic is just crazy.

Although, what about our tents? A part of me is somewhat concerned about the tents and what's been left behind. More so for the others than myself. But if they are cool with it then I'm cool. Ultimately it doesn't really matter to me. Kriger is going to have ZERO problem staying back at the capital and in his own bed. :)

Kriger glances over at Malaswyn curiously. He then begins to slowly stroke his bushy mustache while speaking. "No not food, Mal. A laugh. I heard a laugh. An all too familiar laugh. And not a good familiar either, if you know what I mean."

HA! Man that is impressive. Pulling one out from 10 years ago! Wow. Can you stinking believe it's been that long? Was even before my time. Wow.

Turning his attention toward the kitchen, Kriger narrows his eyes at that all too familiar, yet, unable-to-place sound. He's just about to head in that direction until they are all forced to move into another tent to sit and eat. Blast. Where have I heard that?

Kriger digs in, unaware that he's even eating froglegs as his mind is elsewhere. As he takes a bite he leans in ever so slightly towards Malaswyn, hiding his mouth behind said frogleg as he speaks. "We've got to find our way to the kitchen, Mal, I heard a laugh." He raises his eyebrows and gives a slight nod. Taking another bite, he just now notices what he's been eating and gives a slight crinkle to his face in disgust. What is this?! I don't even like froglegs! Ugh. He looks around and notices everyone eating up contentedly. Sighing, Great. Just take one for the team, Kriger. Take one for the team. He then takes another bite and shakes his head at the bad tasting meat. The team's gonna owe me for this one. Haven't these people ever heard of steak?! You gotta be kidding me.

As the king is occupied, Kriger decides to hang back and keep and eye on the crowd. The ranger possessing a fantastic level of mistrust of people he don't know - well, that and the warning given him by Lothaire - he is intent on keeping a watchful eye out... probably more so on Nunzio and the king than anyone else.

Kriger is just going to "keep watch" so to speak.

Kriger will shake the man's hand freely as he grins reluctantly and one might gather a bit awkwardly. Either that or he just smiles weird. And he decides to simply nod in greeting just to be on the safe side.

What in the blazes is everyone's problem? Why do they seem uncomfortable? I swear if they think they're going to ambush us, they got another thing coming. Kriger crosses his arms as he mentally prepares himself to go straight for his axe. If any of you drunks even pass out the wrong way, I'll make sure that you pass out PERMANENTLY. He then ponders his own thought a moment. Gonna have to remember that one. That would sound pretty good out loud I'm thinking, he concludes, nodding in satisfaction at the idea.
