Krestimbunt had a bit of a rough upbringing, and not just because of his name. His parents had been part of a nomadic culture in a northern tribe, though after decades of dealing with the harsh weather and cold, they had a little boy. Not wanting him to deal with the harsh weather, they moved to a more tropical climate. Of course, they still kept up many of their traditions, which always rubbed some of the locals the wrong way.

And of course, Krestimbunt was no different. He was always an odd ball, even for a gnome. Worshipping a god no one had ever heard of, he prayed to Toic regularly, always hoping for one thing. Snow. He loved it, always wanted to see it, but never had a chance, not while staying home to take care of his mother and father, who were getting older and older. Until, finally, he got his wish. A freak snow storm hit their tropical little paradise, and while it was beautiful, it also destroyed quite a bit of local crops, ruined the hard work of some of the locals' art and homes, and just caused general chaos and panic.

Unfortunately, in such a small, podunk town, a time of panic... The cold loving gnomes who had been praying to a god of snow for almost five decades were an easy target. Before the flakes had even begun to fall, they were attacked. Neighbors, former friends even, were angrily and viciously tearing down their idols and shrines, setting fire to their home. Feeling helpless, Krestimbunt called out, unlocking something within him. Drawing some of that snow to him, it turned to water and blasted out, knocking those about to attack him backwards. Knowing what had happened, he did the only thing he could think to. He ran. He ran, on his own, in the only direction that made sense. The direction the storm had come from.

What he didn't know was that he was heading towards a place that normally wasn't snowy, and towards the beginning of his new future.

Keen Senses: Gnomes receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception checks.
Gnome Magic: Gnomes add +1 to the DC of any saving throws against illusion spells that they cast. Gnomes with Charisma scores of 11 or higher also gain the following spell-like abilities: 1/day—dancing lights, ghost sound, prestidigitation, and speak with animals. The caster level for these effects is equal to the gnome’s level. The DC for these spells is equal to 10 + the spell’s level + the gnome’s Charisma modifier.
Low-Light Vision: Gnomes can see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light.
