I created the kaorti. :-P

Interesting, who would be the Imaskari of Golarion?

Only read the first two books, a lot of ideas seem/are stolen, but it takes an unique spin on some of them. Particularly like the rebellion against the demiurge theme (and the moral ambiguity here, not sure how it will go in the third book), the corruption of the Church and the inner demon idea combined with the Fall of man (not so delighted with the demon-pets idea). And I feel to old for some parts of the book.

Rereading Timaeus and Critias by Plato.

Recently finished

The Hellbound Heart, Clive Barker
The Subtle Knife, Philip Pullman

Definitely fey, but maybe not ''classic'', I'd like some less used mythologies e.g. slavic, baltic, even japanese eventually etc. to be explored.

Agreed about all of the suggestions, particularly feel Golarion is close to Feist's Midkemia, also somewhat of Moorcock, Leiber, Weeks's Midcryu, Smith's Zothique, Bakker's Earwa, Malazan, Kay's Palm Peninsula, and Vance's Lyonesse for the First World stuff.

I thought other fiends eat souls too, just not so much, cause they are more involved with investments (souls being the currency).

?

Mechalich's add-on is great.

------

Don't you think that there are too many Cthulhuesque things in Golarion?

I actually like axiomites more than modrons now, and I intend to use them both. The change of inevitables is for the better too.

I read the first five books (including the prelude), and just lost interest, life is too short. Your post makes it look much more interesting than it is. The series made the final nail in the coffin for my hate of prophecies and most dark lords. It has many great ideas and concepts (from my favourite mythologies) but they didn't fulfill its potential at all.

Wouldn't Daenerys kill Tyrion, I don't see a way he could gain her confidence.

Excellent map btw, always thought Westeros has a weird, unnatural shape, now it's better.

The Warrior-prophet by Bakker, other than some historical copying that bothered me, wonderful book.

Recently finished Plato's Republic and Perdido Street Station.

Do you think all the Freys will die horribly?

I don't think Tyrion will ally with Daenerys, he'll be in Braavos.

I don't know anything else, maybe Stannis will fail, the prophecy fails, the ice age starts, Jon Snow becomes some kind of winter king, breaking his oath.

It's my favourite subject matter (overthrowing governments), but I had greater expectations from the start how the rebellion is going to happen, and it didn't entirely live up to that potential. Allomancy is a nice idea.

I plan to read it in a few weeks.

Twin Peaks
Seinfeld

Most interesting part, who will play Tormund and Hodor.

Thanks, can't wait to read this. Stories with Cugel, the deodand, Rhialto and when the sun finally dies out are particularly interesting.

I googled some of these actors, personally not known except Ned Stark, seems a good choice for the dwarf.

Looking for advice on some good Dramatized Audio Books/Radio shows.

I am just about to pick up Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, & Return of the Jedi Radio dramatizations.

Also looking at The Hobbit and the Lord of Ring series, though I can't decide between the BBC version Vs the American vs... I am leaning towards the BBC version, anyone have advice on which of those?

An advice on any other good ones. I hear BBCs The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is good, any others?

I don't have many audiobooks, reading is much faster, of the few I have

The Hitchiker's Guide, probably the best quality, then the Ender's Game, Titus Groan and Gormenghast.

With just one reader I recommend the Dresden Files, the Lyonesse trilogy, A Song of Ice and Fire books 1 and 3, the Riftwar and the Serpentwar Saga, the Elric sequence, Stranger in a Strange Land.

I also have some Discworld (accent)and Lankhmar audios, Lovecraft, Gibson's Neuromancer, A Canticle for Leibowitz, the Illuminatus trilogy, Hobb, Zelazny (last few books are better), but the voice is either annoying or boring.

Typical dwarves, elves and wizards.

Raymond E. Feist's Magician is great.

There's Terry Brooks, personally don't like his books.

They made Jumanji.

They won't be making Planescape Torment movie, that's for sure.

Transformers, seriously? The first movie was boring, don't plan to see the sequel. I prefer movies cause of the story and/or unique, complex, yet realistic characters. Special effects and pretty faces/t~@+ and asses aren't nearly that relevant, the excuse for Megan works if you're twelve.

It's sad with what kind of crap the media feeds people, in general, e.g. the news, music, reality shows, Heroes, Real Madrid, 4e fluff ... Avoid it like plague (flu).

Just read Robert Howard's The Hour of the Dragon, fun, wish there were more cultural depth, up next are Bujold's Chalion books or four remaining Howard's.

Dead Beat, by Jim Butcher.

Wait 'til the tenth book, that's the one I most remember of the series.

I like Annah's type of look for tieflings, e.g. https://cghub.com/files/Image/13091/image.jpg

or Di'Terlizzi's, I'd prefer less 4e artists in Pathfinder, pretty ugly, especially tieflings and dragonborn

Recently finished Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, Sanderson's Mistborn and Butcher's Death Masks

Now reading Jorge Luis Borges - Labyrinths and Selected Fictions

I'm looking forward to Conan and Dune

Battle Royal and They Live, it's sacrilege to remake these

and I don't think 1984 can be made into a good movie, how are they going to do all the torture

I haven't really searched for gems so

my favorite in the last few years is Children of Men

before that ''Ima, ai ni yukimasu'', I Heart Huckabees and Waking Life

Wonderful book, exceeded my widest expectations.

What parts were written by Greenwood?

Agreed

Lyonesse as well, particularly the faeries

Finder's Bane by Grubb and Novak (it has Sigil)
Prince of Lies by Lowder

it's a shame that they canceled the series, the only one I watched on television

tough I got the feeling that the last episodes dragged on a bit

Godspeed You Black Emperor
Radiohead
Cunninlynguists

Elfstones of Shannara, didn't care for anything in the book, a lot of badly masked cliches

I know the Dune only from the movies and series, yes indeed there are some similarities.

I've recently finished Zelazny's first two Amber books and Moorcock's Elric of Melnibone.

Now reading Steven Erikson's Gardens of the Moon.

The Mwangi Expanse and Azlant.
