I kinda suspected it was a supply-side issue when I checked the store page for the physical box (after noticing the lack of a physical item on the list) and saw "Out of stock".
Oh, and add me to the list of people that hasn't seen that physical beginner box on the partner redemptions list. Not a high priority for me personally, but more the principle of the matter.
