The requirement says I must have a ranged weapon or weapon with the thrown trait equipped, but the ability to Spellstrike and the level 10 Starlit Span specific class feat Meteoric Spellstrike list Ranged Unarmed Strikes as viable to use.

Is this a purposeful way to make a Magus with Unarmed as their go-to combat style lug around a mundane throwing weapon they'll never use, aside from just having it fill a hand slot for that exact purpose, or is there just no way to really track that you even can use a Ranged Unarmed Strike via the Requirements for casting the Conflux spell?

Or was it an oversight? I'm just curious. I kind of understand why Cascade stance doesn't work with ranged, that's just to balance between ranged and melee stuff, but is there a reason to not allow Ranged Unarmed Strike to be used with Shooting Star itself? Is Racial or Monk Archetyped Ranged Unarmed Strike feared as somehow going to break the game, and so the Ranged Magus must be an Arcane Archer or an Arcane Fast Ball Thrower instead?

Maybe have a feat that allows the use of one's maw to wield a weapon? I.E. Sif, from Dark Souls 1. Big AZ Wolf with an even bigger AZ sword. As a requirement of this style, you have to get a running start before you make an attack, or you swing at 1/2 your Str & Dex stats. I'd say that would make Sif the greatest known Dire Wolf (or Worg) Fighter character (known to me at least).
