I can say the internet access in the rooms is wired ethernet, my room had a cable in already but I don't know if every room does (I'm here already and typing this from my room having got back from a meal with the Paizo guys and have the stock of pathfinder beta's sat in my room as it meant they had to be carried up one less flight of stairs if they got left here ;) Kithran PS no I will not accept bribes to swipe copies ;)

One thing to remember about RPGA and (presumeably) Pathfinder Society games is they are in some way subsidised by a company. To justify that subsidy there needs to be something the organisers can use to show for it - the simplest thing is players. In an organised play environment like the RPGA or PFS if adventures are run but the parent organisation doesn't know (because people had no intention of joining) that means less games get reported thus the subsidy is less liekly to continue. It takes a minute to ifll in the form to join the RPGA, tick the box saying you don't want any further communication, stick the paper card in your wallet and thats it. Use the card when you play and the convention/game organisers are able to say 'we had 100 people playing your games, here are their numbers so you know we aren't just making it up' as opposed to 'we had a lot of people playing your games'. Anyone?..;-) I will contact Paizo about getting a non-personalised version that can be distributed and having copies available from the main rpg desk but I don't expect to get an answer until after Gen Con Indy. Its up to individual campaigns to have their own rules about how many people make a legal table. If Paizo want to allow 3 or 7 player tables its entirely up to them. The only rule I have is don't be selfish - if a particular game only allows a minimum of 4 players per table and I have a group of five who don't want to split and three other players I will be asking one of the five to move so that two tables can play. Just to clarify for everyone - there is _no_ RPGA involvement with Pathfinder either in general or specifically with Gen Con UK, its just that the same person (ie me) is involved in coordinating all the Living and RPGA campaigns for Gen Con UK and as a result my contact email address is rpga <at> genconuk <dot> com. French Wolf has (if he's who I think it is) has gm'd for me at a number of other conventions but only run Living Greyhawk which obviously has the RPGA table tracker, and also has a set prcoedure if people have rules issues that aren't dealt with at the table (though even with LG such things happen very rarely). I must have missed the email, apologies. Scenario descriptions can be found by going to the Events > Events By Type > Pathfinder Society menu options on consupport, or try here http://www.consupport.com/events/events.asp?Type=596&View=Play. Kithran

Basically the free entry for a day/£5 cashback is a refund deal. You pay upfront, as a gm get the fact you turned up when required signed off and at the end of the con you get refunded the relevant amount. If you've already volunteered you should have received an invitation to the GMs yahoo group and there are a lot more details there on what is required from gm's and how things work. (I know this has already been answered by one person but more detailed instructions may be helpful for some people) Go to the website (www.consupport.com) Choose Gen Con UK 2008 You should now have a menu down the left of the screen. Choose Events > Events by Type > Pathfinder Society This lists all the Pathfinder modules running, when they are running and an option to add to cart. If you want to volunteer to gm instead choose Sign Up > Events by Type > Pathfinder Society and choose Volunteer. Kithran
Well I can say I have had a couple of people volunteer to GM PFS modules at Gen Con UK so there will be PFS available to play for those who only have that as a requirement. In answer to the other question I saw up-thread you pay to enter Gen Con UK. You do not pay extra to play in any of the table-top RPG events (including PFS). You do (unsurprisingly) need to pay extra to play in sealed-deck type card or minature tournaments etc. Any other questions feel free to ask. Paul James / Kithran
PS is it possible to set things up so I get an email whenever there is a post to this thread?

However you also need to pay for every game you play at Gen Con Indy. The £40 should also cover the majority of your games (some things like magic sealed deck event shave additional costs but the majority of games are free after you have paid for your pass). Kithran
GeraintElberion wrote: Will there be any PFS at GenconUK? Hi, I'm the guy in charge of organising all the assorted Living Games for Gen Con UK. As I understand it PFS is launching at Gen Con Indy, roughly two weeks before Gen Con UK. I have no problems with offering space for PFS games on the schedule provided I can get some idea of the level of interest and if I have people come forward willing to run it - I'd far rather have gm's who are already familiar with the system and setting. If people would be interested in playing PFS could you let me know here. If anyone would be interested in gm'ing PFS could you send me an email to rpga <at> genconuk <dot> com. In the interest of full disclosure yes I am part of the RPGA - namely currently the POC for Onnwal for Living Greyhawk and the POC for Luruar (UK / Ireland / South Africa) for Living Forgotten Realms however I am responsible for coordinating all Living games at Gen Con UK whether they are from the RPGA or not.
