Color Spray. The great equalizer.

Yeah, not a whole hell of a lot of 0 and 1st levels spells that are going to do anything to a wight. You might get a magic missile off, then it's gonna be relying on a crossbow or melee combat with a staff to do any damage as a wizard.

It's pretty rare for characters to fight things that do negative levels below level 5. Unless there's metagaming afoot, there's no way the PCs would know the wight has an instant-kill move.

Well, in the case of a necromancer or evil cleric PC, you maybe wrong.

To be honest and for simplicity sake, I would probably just kill it. Unless you guys think you can somehow create a diplomatic agreement with it (which isn't likely, since white dragons are eeeeevil and most DMs don't like thinking outside alignment).

In our campaigns, it cancels out a successful attack with critical strikes being the first selected if one is rolled in the same attack.

I wouldn't use a standard wight as a 1st level encounter, too easy to kill the PCs and would also cause the PC to raise as a wight themselves later on.

You could make them think it's a full wight, but actually a lesser variety.

I would say no, as you would be gimping the NPCs and making them less effective against the party.

When does the paizo make the psionics and the 3.5 warlock?

If paizo makes a Warlock, it probably wouldn't be anything like the 3.5 Warlock.

That's fine with me; I'd easily enjoy a Witch/warrior hybrid. Any class that delves into the darker powers of nature and pacts with entities would really be welcome.

Careful what you wish for. :P

Pretty sure Paizo believes that the books by Dreamscarred Press are considered 'official' even if Paizo didn't publish them.

Level 8 fighting a great wyrm? Even with Mythic Tiers, that's just ugh. Gonna need some tricks.

Your sorcerer have any spells that protect against the cold?

Suspension of disbelief is necessary in a game with goblins, wizards, and demons.

Depends on where the campaign is taking place at. If the city is known for its magic, wizards, etc. then there is a good chance that at least some form of 'magic mart' might exist. After all not all vendors are going to want to setup a permanent place of business in just one city as many travel around based on the season or locale of well known 'adventuring spots'.

Magic Marts also provide a valuable distraction and a gold sink, should the DM/GM need to deprive the party of hard currency.

Loved the UR-Priest class.

Want this novel, for obvious reasons...but I don't want to have to mess with trying to get it to work on my Kindle Fire like the other books I have on it.

Why no Kindle version on Amazon? Seems like that would be losing revenue.

I may come out of retirement for this. Since Realms of Evil died, haven't had a whole lot of reason to write new stuff, but this seems like a good time to resharpen those game designer skills.

Man, really want this, since we're using a hybrid combination of the Mythic system and the D20 epic system for our 'epic level' campaign. ..but $19 for a PDF?...ERG....
