![]() Is the following legal? If so, what skill check (if any) would I need and at what DC (probably subjective according to DM)? Summoner's have the Transposition ability which is a standard action. I want to set that as a prepared action for when the Eidolon is 10 feet off the ground. Then my Eidolon jumps off a cliff (say 100 feet), transposes the last 10 feet, then the Summoner only falls 0-10 feet (at which time he can dismiss Eidolon etc). ![]()
![]() I was just reading the 'DPR olympics' thread. Some moron posted his level 10 eidolon that had a 4 more evolution points and 1 more attack than are possible at his level (just verified in HeroLab) - not to mention that it equipped 2 amulet slots (one of which is 45k gp) and didn't have 2 necks. Then you have 100 other replies from idiots who blindly accepts his cheating Eidolon as proof to nerf. Is there some kind of online tool to vet BS builds? Maybe we need a rating system for post? I'm just slightly worried that Paizo employees read these retarded rants and rebalance classes based on them. It also makes me wonder how few people actually follow the rules and if character-vetting should be enforced by PF Society (such as online verification, herolab .por file, etc) ![]()
![]() My summoner wants to summon a fire elemental (with the Burn ability) to dispatch a swarm: 1) Can it be summoned on the same square as the swarm (a few inches above the carpet of swarm creatures) for insta-burn? 2) Can the attack, which causes burn, affect the swarm? 3) If the fire elemental is summoned 5' from the swarm, can he move into the square (or just above it vertically) to inflict an extra burn? If so, does it take place immediately or at a later time? 4) Some of these questions have to do with the vertical displacement of a summoned creature, can anyone clarify on how minimally far above a mob you can summon the creature? ![]()
![]() I just hit the power peak for the summoner (level 5) and am now finding the magic item slot nerf limiting my Eidolon and getting worse as I level. Obviously I'd like to buff its strength, but since it can't wear a belt, is there any useful item that fits in the head, face, or shoulder slots? So far I have an amulet of mighty fists +1 and a Ioun Stone (Pale Green Prism) for Attack +1. If there aren't any useful items in those slots, is it possible to craft one? Could you obtain for example the equivalent of a Belt of giant Strength in a headband slot item? For those unaware of the nerf, here is the rule: Jason Buhlman wrote: Eidolons and Equipment

![]() The Eidolon base for of Biped lists 'claws' as a free evolution, but claws can be applied to either legs or arms. Some abilities or conditions trigger only off of leg claws vs arm claws. For example, does the slam evolution text assume arm claws, or does it only apply if the player chose to have arm claws instead of leg claws? Are the claws assumed to apply to the arms or is it the player's choice? ![]()
![]() 2 questions: 1. Does Eye for Talent work with Eidolon? I'm assuming no since HeroLab doesn't allow it, but was wondering if there was any errata or official clarification on the feat text. 2. How does perception work since Summoners have a mental link and communication with the Eidolon. Can I use the higher skill? Do I always roll twice? Note also that the int (7) is a lot higher than any other pet. ![]()
![]() Just bought HeroLab which allows apparently strange things for Summoners, please tell me if any of these are legal: 1. Can you modify Eidolon base stats to redistribute points (HeroLab allows this)? 2. The start HP of companions/eidolons is settable - does that mean maxing them is a 'house rule' and in violation of PFS rules? Or is it a GM call? I foung the Eidolon's 7hp a serious drawback as he died the first encounter and never benefits from party heals and was wondering if some GMs would approve a starting max hp. |
