Background:
Recently stationed to the UPF starship Kitzz’Itz, Killikil originally had been passing from ground posting to ground posting as a non-com computer systems auditor for the UPF GAO. He was charged with monitoring various computer mainframes for excessive redundancy, ineffective resource management or underused processing ability to improve overall network stability and to increase cost to performance efficiency.
His last posting resulted in his uncovering an UPF Army Major's unauthorized use of UPF equipment to manage an illegal planet wide Cabbas gambling operation. Though praised for his diligence and dedication to his duties, Analyst Knikk found himself unpopular among most other planet bound UPF personnel, many of whom had participated in the Cabbas tournaments to relieve off-duty boredom.
His superior officer, formerly "for concern for his safety and general well-being" and "in recognition of his efforts on behalf of the UPF", transferred Killikil to a starship far removed from the inner planets of the UPF. Truth be told, his Lieutenant was glad to have Analyst Knikk gone, before he inadvertently uncovered the substantial debt still owed by the Lieutenant to the recently incarcerated Major.
Only just arrived about the Kitzz’Itz before its last departure, Killikil has had little opportunity to familiarize himself with the ship, it's crew, or it's overall mission parameters. He understands the ship will be entering an uncharted area of space, and has attempted to prepare himself and plan ahead. He does not want to disappoint his fellow crewmen and UPF personnel as he feels he did at his last posting. He knows he's there to do his duty and to do it to the best of his ability for the betterment of the UPF. He does not want to fail again.
