Sorry 'bout not posting earlier. Been a tad bit busy over the past week.

Khev's Spot check (1d20-1=3)
Khev's Initiative roll (1d20+1=4)

Ouch!

Khev looks towards the nearest goblin and invokes Naberius, calling upon the power of the Grinning Hound's persuasive words.

In a low, gravelly voice, Khev commands the goblin, "Fall!"

Treated as the command spell. Will DC 13

"S-sure." I walk over and retrieve the ball, and hand it to the boy, attempting to smile. "Here ya go, kid."

With that, I make my way over to the place the speeches will take place.

Just waiting for something to happen to my character so he has something to do. He's just wandering around the festival right now. :)

Khev wanders from stall to stall in the festival, seeing what each has to offer. Out of the corner of his eye, he notices the half-orc and half-elf talking to one another.

Half-breeds... If they can find a place here, then so can I.

I finish my food and cider and get up, bowing stiffly to the barmaid.

Perhaps I should go to this festival and see what it is about. I think to myself. I may learn something about the people here. Hopefully, though, the Grinning Hound does not take control at an inopportune moment...

Leaving the Rusty Dragon, I make my way towards the place the ceremony is being held.

Pausing between bites, I say quietly, "A variety of things."

I silently draw three silver coins from my coin pouch, each stamped with the royal seal of Korvosa, and place them on the table. Then, I take a sip of the cider and begin to eat.

I let out a breath, still a little weary from the day's journey, then nod. Making a feeble attempt at a smile, I say, in a deep, gravelly voice that doesn't seem like it quite fits, "Yes... please... Food too, if you have it."

Sounds good to me. I think we're fine the way we are, though. Not really missing anything except for maybe a way to identify magical items, but we can always pay an NPC wizard for that service...

My character has just walked into town after following the Lost Coast Road from Magnimar. He probably is just entering the Rusty Dragon Inn, as that's the tavern nearest to the south entrance.

EDIT: Do you want a roll for my binding check of the day? I usually bind Naberius when I know I'm going to be in a town.

Everyone, if you could post the reasons for your coming to Sandpoint and how long you've been there that would be great.
Hopefully we can start later this week.

My character's reasons for coming to Sandpoint are mentioned in the background portion of my character sheet, but here they are again in a little more detail:

Spoiler:
Khev fled from Magnimar in an attempt to escape persecution at the hands of clerics of Sarenrae. His unnatural powers, and the callousness and carelessness with which he used them, caused him to be labeled by the church as an abomination. In desperation, he followed the road along the coast and, not but a very short time (as in, only a few hours or less) before the adventure begins, arrived in Sandpoint.

Here is my character: Khev Vexral, Chelaxian binder. A truly conflicted character, quite Chaotic Neutral, but readily willing to work in a group (if not a little too willing).
