I was reading the Elemental Betrayal Hex, thinking of potential synergies, and when I checked Personal Blizzard, I realised it is missing the Cold Tag.

I hope this is a mistake and not intentional, it is already not that strong (especially the heightening effect), but with that it even stops some in class synergies (that would take 2 turn to do anyway due to the limitation of 1 Hex per turn).


I was checking this feat, which allows youto change a memorized spell for a summon spell of same levle (or heightened tosame level) that is on your spell list.

The important thing is, as written it seems you don't need for your familiar to know the spell? So with that feat, by an extra 10 min of preparation Witches get access to all summon spells from their chosen list?

It's turning a kinda meh spell in a really good one for a summoning Witch!


I was wondering if there was general advise and recomendations to chose a character skills in PF for society.

I am creating a Cleric (so religion automatically), and the Deity & background I am interested thematically gives me Occult & Arcana, though the concept is not really about knowledge skills (though I am not against doing recall knowledge actions, I will probably only develop religion, not the other 2).

That would only leaves me with 2 skills to chose, one probably being Medecine, what other would you recommend?

Should I chose a less thematic background? (the skill feat, Arcane Sense is probably not that great either)

I'm working on a new character for PFS, a Cleric of Grandmother Spider specializing on channeling (starting with Negative Energy), and there is a few points for which I could use advise.

1) Class:
Cleric - at least 5 levels (for PRC pre-req)
-Archetype: Herald Caller (Bonus skill points, added focus without need of high wisdom)
Envoy of Balance - at least 4 levels for Spiritual Equilibrium / Twin Channeling

Now the question is Cleric 8 for superior summoning or Envoy of Balance 6 for Planar Parity (Counterpoised Template is good for summons, and superior summoning can be taken as a feat)

2)Domains:
Luck or Community? Luck powers are really handy but not fond of the spells, however Community has good spells and an interesting level 1 ability.

3)Race:
Is the Half Elf favored bonus (+1/3 to dammage/heal of channel) useful or a trap?
I kinda like the idea of an Ekujae Half Elf (kindred raised +2Cha / +2Wis), though a classic human would make it easier on skills/feats
(both would work with the overall background I have in mind)

4)Traits:
Apart from Sacred Conduit, any good and flavorful trait for this character?

5)Feats:
Lvl1 - Selective Channel mandatory
In no set order:
-Versatile Channel (by lvl 7 latest, not needed for PRC pre req due to augment summon from Herald Caller I believe)
-Improved Channel
-Quick Channel
-Channeling Variance - Luck (maybe twice for at will?)

Not sure if worth it:
-Alignment Channel
-Extra Channel

Any other suggestions?

6) Attributes:
Planning for 19 Cha with lvl4-8-12 increase there
16 Wisdom for spellcasting

Would lowering strength to 8 an issue? THen probably left overs in Dexterity for some AC and initiative.

Hello all,

I'm looking for build options for Hunter (in PFS). I'm more interested in option analysis than a fully made build (though sample builds never hurt).

The guides I've found went in details about the Animal Companion, the Teamwork Feats & the Skirmisher tricks, the spells are never really talked about except for a few buff like leaf blade.

I'm not looking to emulate a full caster, but for example the bards option as secondary caster are often talked about, and the hunter as a similar chassis with access to interesting spell lists.

Also I'd like some opinion/advise on the Divine hunter archetype, especially what domains would bring interesting spells? I thought about feather & travels, but the spells are mostly utility, would there be interesting control options?

And what's your opinion regarding the Feral Hunter as a Nature's Ally summoner?

(Please keep in mind that this is for PFS, so the fact that the spellcasting fall well behind at higher level is less relevant)
