About Kastia Dragonkin

Kastia stands taller than a typical half-elf, and her angular features add to the impression that she is looking down on most of the world. She carries herself with a great deal of confidence, some would say arrogance.

"You'd assume that since I am half elf, then I am also half human. You'd be wrong. My mother is a dragon. My father was an adventurer, who set out to slay the dragon. He failed. Most of his companions died, and he ended up as a mind-mushed, enchanted slave to the dragon. She thought he was cute, they had a kid, and then she got tired of her plaything and put him to work like all of her other slaves. When I was born, he mustered enough independent thought to run away with his daughter."

"He's never been quite right since then. All the residual magic in his brain still affects him, and I think he really did love her in some sort of strange, I'm enslaving you against your will, kind of way. Anyway, it made for a strange childhood. Most kids don't have to convince their father not to go back to his draconic lover, who is probably super angry that he ran away and will most likely eat him. I had that conversation. Multiple times."

"Anyway, it became clear to me that I wanted to be the one wielding the power, like my mother, and not the victim of the power, like my father. When I started to exhibit magical talents, I joined up with the Pathfinder Society. I figure the folks in the Dark Archive can teach me some of what I want to know, and the rest I'll just have to figure out as I go."
