Ok, thank you all for your help. I am glad I brought my question here before trying it with my GM. I am in over my depth trying this it seems.

If a bow like that exists I guess the next question is would my plan work. Could I use an actual arrow and the magically created arrow at the same time?
Would that just be a GM call or is there president for that any where.
While it is a strong concept I didn't think it was over powered as it is a variable damage increase not much different from an acid arrow or something of the sort.

I was trying to make a bow that creates an arrow every time it was drawn. I choose Adamantine only because it would pass some DR and was a choice with the major creation spell but Adamantine was not a goal.

The part about manyshot was a thought I had with regards to the fact that if the bow is already creating an arrow when I draw it, I could use an arrow from my quiver at the same time. I thought that if it didn't effect the arrow being created magically then it could shot two arrows at once like the manyshot feat but not hinder my attacks per round.

The negatives I attached in my description was an attempt to not have the bow be to powerful.

I have played in a number of games but I have never tried to create a unique magical weapon or item. I have always just used what the party found that best suited my character.
I came up with a concept for a bow that functions as if using the manyshot feat.
Major Creation- Adimantine Arrow cast onto a bow.
I envision it working like this. I have even given the user negatives to using it like the manyshot feat.
Every time the bow is drawn an adimantine arrow is created. If the user places an arrow on the string that user takes a -2 on the attack roll but if the attack hits, both arrows hit. Apply precision-based damage (such as sneak attack, or vital strike) and critical hit damage only once for this attack.Damage bonuses from using a composite bow with a high Strength bonus apply to each arrow as if 1 str catigory less, other damage bonuses, such as a ranger's favored enemy bonus. Damage reduction and resistances apply separately to each arrow. Much like the manyshot feat.
Expected cost 31,000gp (Lev 9 wiz+lev 5 spell×2000gp plus materials)
Is this an unrealistic creation?
