About Kalinar Mordulin
Kalinar is a child of the Mordulin (balck-bird) clan of the Elves of Kyonin. Wanderlust is a common family affliction amogst the Modulin clan, and as a result, Kalinar was actually born outside of Kyonin. Kalinar spent the early years of his life wandering Golarion with his parents. When Kalinar was on the cusp of young-adulthood, his parents decided it was time to return to Kyonin. Traveling thorugh Andoran on their way home, during the height of the Andoren rebllion against Cheliax, the family was cuaght up in a battle between Chellish and Andoren foces. Kalinar's parents were killed by the Chellish, who assumed any elves present in Andoran were assiting the rebels. Kalinar survived, saved by an Eagle Knight. He remained in Andoran and decided to help the rebels, thus taking revenge on Cheliax for the death of his parents. Kalinar was adopted in to the family of the Eagle Knight who had savd him. After the rebllion, Kalinar remained with the family for several decades. As he watched his adopted parents and siblings grow old and die, the thought of watching the same happen to many more generations was too much for him. Struck by the wanderlust inherited from his birth-parents, and not thinking of Kyonin as home, Kalinar decided to head back out into Golarion. Joining the Pathfinder Society seemed the ideal way to satisfy his wanderlust.
Later in his career as a Pathfinder, the opportunity for a mission in Kyonin came up (5-05: The Elven Entaglement). Kalinar viewed this as the perfect opportunity to explore Kyonin and determine if it would feel like home. After completing the mission in Kyonin, Kalinar looked up his family, and re-established contact with the Mordulin clan. Two of his cousins, Variel and Raunien, have since become Pathfinders themselves. Kalinar has taken a particular interest in Raunien, who shares Kalinar's affinity for the bow. Kalinar sponsored Raunien's entry in to the Patfinder Society and serves as his mentor.
