"Now now Rosa, lets play nice for a while. You will get your time."
"I don't appreciate your tone sir. I suggest you back down and leave us to plans that are obviously beyond such as you. You seem to not know the first thing about anything as you apparently were taken in by the wiles of a Succubus." Kalim waves his hand at the men. "All of you are dismissed. Be gone."

"Remind me, Kalim; Why do keep travelling with her again?" "Well, the way I figure it, where ever she goes I can always find an opportunity to help someone in some way. Telcia you let loose with your dagger but doing so makes you visible again. I pull out my wand of greater invisibility, use it....
Kalim follows suit and draws his composite longbow. He takes aim and fires.
Kalim takes 5' back while drawing his rapier. "You should have listened." he says with a sigh.
Kalim chuckles. "Ah those two!" Looking back at the dwarf. "So! You worked in the lumber mills? What was it like when you were there last? A strong dwarf like you must have been a favored person in the community."
"We are looking for a guide of sorts to get us down to the Mindspin mountains. Do you know where we might find such a person?" Kalim asks. "We would pay well for an honest type. Dishonesty leads to, well, other things." he says with a sideways glance at Rosa and a slight smile.

"You do understand that people do tend to get hurt by their captors. If something does happen to them I will not be held responsible for the evil actions of another. That said, I will do all within my power to ensure their safety. Just don't expect me to needlessly sacrifice myself for petty causes." Looking at the rest of the group: "Anyways, we need to get things in motion. Enough has been said that we can get a start. Anyone else object?"
"Oh be quiet and stop drinking so much. You are a buffoon you know that?"
"Hmm, I remember some details about this. We need to head to the narmathian city of Skelt and then head south to the Mindspin Mountains. I say we should get there and see if we can get a guide to get us down there." Kalim says thoughtfully.
"Sounds like a plan. Shall we begin?"
Kalim calls out to the man. ”You there! Come on over. Have something to eat and drink. There is plenty for everyone.” Once he has seated himself: ”Now tell me, what is it you want? You have been over there for a bit and something is on your mind. Speak up now.”
Kalim has only had a single mug of mild ale he has been drinking from. He has also been eating during this time.
When the bartender says he will put in on the tab, Kalim speaks: "I'll take care of the cost."

At 4th level, a noble scion can use his influence to receive special treatment, favors, and other services. He effectively has a pool of virtual gold pieces equal to 150 gp plus 10 gp per class level to spend on services and non-material goods. This pool replenishes at the beginning of every week.
Services and nonmaterial goods available to a noble scion include: • Pay for lodgings, stabling, taxes, and tolls. • Improve his lifestyle quality (Core Rulebook 405). • Hire entertainers, messengers, mounts, servants, transport, workers, and so on. • Obtain invitations to exclusive events, or entry • Spread rumors or start a whispering campaign. • Purchase spellcasting services. • Employ an expert hireling to make a skill check with a check bonus of +10 plus his class level (50 gp). A noble scion cannot permanently gain goods or wealth from this ability; boons attainable from this ability are generally only available in settlements of 5,000 people or more. The exact benefits available in a location are subject to GM discretion. Kalim notices Telcia observing the man that is watching the group. He carefully gets a look at him when the man is not paying attention.

"Hmmmm, a fine bottle indeed. Open it up, and we shall make Jaeger happy again!" Kalim says with a smirk.

"Ohhh no! I remember the last time we had rotgut. I'll pass on that thank you very much! My insides churned for three days straight from that night."
"In that case. Barkeep! Keep the drinks coming! We will have all we want."
"I just might know at that." Kalim says with a smirk. "Say, we are missing Jaegar. Anyone seen him around?"
Kalim enters the tavern and makes his way to the table that Tiran Collab is at. A half-orc woman is with him. ”May I sit?” Kalim asks. If the affirmative is given he will sit. He looks over at the woman. ”Tevaga, order us some food if you would. Please make sure that Tiran is accommodated. We don’t let others go hungry do we? Not that he needs it from the looks of him. And get yourself whatever you desire.” he says with a chuckle. ”Tiran, how goes it? I trust you are well. Hope the others arrive soon. I do enjoy good company.” |
