Thank you.

HeroLab (even on "PFS Play" setting) allows considerable flexability re. companion animals, including point buy customisation of ability scores & choice of feats. Is this genuinely PFS legal, or a blip?

Sovereign Court

Congratulations and welcome Edmund! A few of us Northern types will be down at Warpcon: hopefully see you again then.

What about the -10 penalty to disguise yourself as a different race, if you look at the original entry while Kitusne have 2 forms, only the humanoid fox counts as the "true" form, which means looking human counts as a different race, imposing a -10 penalty which is counteracted by the +10 from the shapeshifting ability, can you give me a rules grounded reason why the kitsune does not suffer from the -10 for disguising itself as a different race?

The Kitsune's (Supernatural Ability) "Change Shape" is defined as mirroring the "Alter Self" spell, a transmutational (rather than illusionary) spell requiring a Standard Action.

It provides a +10 Disguise bonus for the Kitsune to appear as it's single, same gender "human" form, or: with the 'Realistic Likeness' feat, +10 with any human form previously encountered.

As a Supernatural Ability requiring concious effort and a Standard Action to achieve, it is an optional but not "natural" or "default form for the Kitsune, and doesn't act like the "Perfect Copy" supernatural ability of the Doppleganger!

Wheras not implicitly stated, some DMs might disregard the cumulative -2 penalty for the Kitsume's single pre-defined "human" form being of a different race or age category (it must be of the same gender).

However, if employing the "Realistic Likeness" feat (which doesn't specify a same gender form) my inclination would be to employ this cumulative -2 penalty for different "step" away from the Kitsune in terms of race, gender and age category.

We should also remember the familiarity bonus' to viewer's opposed Perception checks vs. the Kitsune's Disguise total...ranging from "Familiar" at +4 to "Intimate" at +10...Though casual, unsuspicious viwers would generally be assumed to passively "take 10" on their Perception rolls.

Now: can our supernaturally bolsterd Kitsune "take 10/20" on his or her Disguise total ?!

Hi Mat,
Hope you've had some luck finding other gamers in Limerick. I wonder if I could plug Pathfinder Society Ireland: a relatively new addition to the family. We have regular Organised Play events in Dublin, Belfast & Larne, but are always ready Evangelise elsewhere!

Please contact me if you'd like further details... There is also a "Pathfinder Society Ireland" group on Facebook, if that's any use.

All the best,

Jon Burwell

Really looking forward to it! We are hoping for a respectable* Irish contingent this year.

Minor point: a few of us have stayed at "The Old Coach House" in Digbeth during the last couple of years, and I'm afraid to stay we've been very disapointed each time. Might I suggest it's not promoted on the site this year?

[* In terms of numbers rather than reputations anyway!]

Are you the UK/London one?

I figured that would be closest. I'm not sure we even warrant our own lodge yet, though I'd love if we got one. It would probably be in the main game shop in the city centre though, and I got confused by where it is now!

Thanks for the reply!

Yeah I'm the UK Venture Captain. (Check us out at PaizoCon UK)

The flag on the map is just in a random location in London and doesn't represent where I am based.

The day has arrived Vagrant-Poet! Check link below:

Congratulations William! I look forward to helping you pitch our Evangelical Tent around the country!

I'd like to add my thanks to everyone who obviously put in such a lot of work for a greatly enjoyed event. My only (tentative) suggestion would be to see if the Friday night buffet event could be held in larger premises? (I understand Imran's iteslf has a larger area?) Many thanks to all.

A discussion came up at a recent game about wether my character's scimitar attacks using the "Dervish Dance" feat necessarily dealt 'Precision Damage'. Do they? And, if so, how would this be significant in game terms?

Is it a majority of players that dislikes the alignment system, or merely a very vocal minority?

Really don't know SwnyNerdgasm. The alignment system is something I find both wonderfully simple and thought provoking, and was (myself) scandalised they'd mucked about with it in 4th ed.

Now, the "assisting" others & [shudders] "taking 10/20/whatever" with skill checks I absolutely despise, despite understanding the logic.

If you're a gamer in Ireland... Sound off! I want to see those hands go up!

Why? I'm thinking about going to a convention in Ireland and want to know that there's someone on the other side of the pond to roll dice with.

And... Which con would you suggest?

Hi Ed: There's a fair few of us up in the Belfast area. Many us are involved with the Table Top North gaming group and/or the Arkham Gaming Centre in the village of Glenoe, Co. Antrim. With many thanks for your hard work.

Just wanted to add my thanks for your hard work on this, Daemonslye.I very much hope we can give this a bash in our group.Expecy you've already been deluged with requests for a converted "Village of Hommlet": allow me to add my own!

On the subject of animal companions chaps: I know within Organised play, the potential companion animals are restricted to the p.66 Core Role Book list...but I take it the 3.5 "Improved Animal Companion" feat no longer exists in PF at all?

I'll take that as a compliment.

I do hope that we of the decaying 'Old World' factions aren't too late to join in with the choruses of jealousy, bitterness and sour-grapery...

Obviously Andorran's (soon to be rectified) position as sole 'goody' faction, though a huge simplification, has certainly added to it's great popularity, as discussed.

However, would it be churlish to suggest that another factor might be that it’s a HUGELY idealised version of a certain real-world superpower only too keen to export 'democracy and freedom' itself ?

Some of us (real world) post-colonialist euro trash fairly balk at the withering scorn that seeps through writings about 'Taldor' for example: it's almost as if it were viewed through a... shall we say... 'Andorran' lens? Now, if the economic interests of Lumber Consortium re. Andoran's 'internationalism' was more widely discussed...

[through clenched teeth] Congratulations Andorrans: I like your new badge. There, I said it...
