About John Perkins 744
Marcion Ablecroft is bookish human male of Taldan Descent with a crossbow on his back and an ornate rod in hand. Marcion Ablecroft is a well respected (if not exactly well liked) Priest of Abadar with a habit of speaking about himself in third person and dressing in royal outfits. His hard work and devotion have earned him a middling rank in the church, while his essential humorlessness has limited his advancement. Foundling human left on the doorstep of a caring (if particularly gruff) Dwarven couple, the key shaped birthmark on his hand left little doubt that he was always pledged for the service of Abadar. He excelled in his apprenticeship with the church, complete with a customary tour as part of the city watch, and quickly became a powerful servant of Abadar. Marcion joined the Pathfinders on the advice of a Senior Priest in order to 1) continue deal with dangerous monsters and that present a threat to civilization 2) secure and catalog dangerous and destabilizing magical items (believing the Pathfinder Vault to be a mortal mirror for Abadar’s sacred vault) and (unbeknownst to Marcion) 3)give the local temple hierarchy a respite from his insufferable presence.
