Hello, fellow Starfinders!

Apologies for the wait. I assure you I'm keeping an eye on this thread (and many others), but whether I have the bandwidth to respond is another matter entirely. That said: well hello! I'm popping in to respond to a few of the concerns I see brought up most.

First, as we recently announced, yes you will soon get your Game Master Ranks, whatever they come to be called. You can find out more about that on our blog here.

Second, yes, I know you want more AcP boons and options in the Starfinder Society. So do I! Know that we have plenty of plans and aspirations, I just need to find time to execute them. All I can say for now is: it's on my to-dos and I'll get to it as soon as I can. As always, you can give us your boon suggestions and ideas in the Official Starfinder Society Boon Request thread.

Third: sanctioned adventures. I know it's important to all of you, and to our wider community. I see all of your comments and take all of your feedback to heart. I can't make any official announcements on this front right now, but know that I'm working on a solution. I can't put an accurate timeline on when the next official update will come, but it will be in the coming months. I understand that "sit tight" and "I hear your concerns" are not enough for some of you, and no worries. You're welcome to keep giving us feedback, suggestions, and even just plain venting in this thread. I'll continue to read it (off the clock).

And finally, to those wondering if this is a sign we're choosing to purposefully value Pathfinder more than Starfinder, or that Starfinder Society is the neglected child in the Organized Play environment: I assure you that every single person working on the Starfinder game is working on Starfinder because they love it. Not just love it, but love it the most. All of us pour our hearts and souls into this game, just as all of you pour your hearts into our community. We love it, and any choices we make are (and always will be) done with forethought, intent, and care. Sometimes, yes, that comes down to time management, and making tough decisions on what's most worth preserving, what needs to be reworked or reimagined, and what can we accomplish at a later date. As time goes on, we can always try to add more, and try to give more, and that's what we're going to do. But, as was alluded to in the initial post in this thread, time is an incredibly precious resource that I don't have enough of to do everything we want or we can imagine. So no, right now, you can't play sanctioned adventures for credit. But I look forward to a future where I have time to open that door again. I promise I hear you knocking.

I keep thinking I'll find time to get back to posting regularly and failing miserably. I know I don't have the time to post anymore, but I've loved this game and loved playing with all of you, so I've tried to keep it up anyway. But, it's time to say goodbye. Del needs to retire from the game, as I just don't have the time to spare right now.

Thanks for a great game, as always. It's been fun. I look forward to peeking in when I have the time to see what Del's friends are up to.

Profession Chef: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (14) + 20 = 34 x 700 = 23,800 credits. Del will use that to buy a targeting expert gimmick.

More than a little sad at having to leave behind Indulgence, her idyllic little neighbourhood, and her new friends, Del arrives with a huff, hooded and magically disguised for good measure.

"Well, the bakery was a success and I have the cutest little house. I even went on a date for the first time in ages. Did you know that neighbours sometimes give you things? Like, sugar? And fire extinguishers? They didn't even try to charge me interest!" She shrugs. "Anyway, some bounty hunters tracked me down and I had to book it out of there, so it basically ended in disaster. I hope they don't trash my bakery. Someone else might be able to use it. That gorgeous oven deserves that at least..."

She sighs, then smiles. "So, how'd it go?"

Del feels sick to her stomach after reading the excerpt from her sister's memoir. Slightly sicker when Guess? remarks that he and Eline could be soul mates. By the time Akh mentions exploding livestock she's decided she needs to be elsewhere. She takes a few turns around the starship, pacing its corridors, and its grand sitting rooms, but staying well away from the cargo holds. Eventually, she settles into the kitchen, deeply regrets the poorly stocked pantry. Still, she works with what she's got, for the most part. She admits there was smidge of extra-reality pilfering required to make the icing...

Soon, it's time to disembark and take a break. Give the ship a paint job. Do something new. Hopefully, opening a bakery would be far less dangerous.

Del spends hours writing and erasing messages on her comm unit before she finally settles on something short and sweet.

We've done our share of hurting each other. For a long time, the letters I wrote you said 'I forgive you,' even though I knew a sorry was never coming. But for the last year I've been on the other end of that discussion, tossing messages and apologies into the void and hoping you'll forgive me.

"Your fur's coming in great!" Del fibs horribly. "You can barely even tell... From certain angles..." She scrunches up her nose in thought for a moment. "But, yeeeeeah, I guess we want to drop it off for her somewhere... But we also need to make sure no one else steals it when we do!"

Del gives some thought to potential drop-off sites that might work but have a close association with Eline.

OMG that ice cream scoop image. XD Thanks for the bots, life has finally righted itself this week, so should be fine going forward.

Del waves a hand, causing the once-delicious and now very dirty looking ice cream scoop-cycle to plow into the remaining slime.

Del stammers for a moment, looking absolutely flabbergasted. She contemplates denying it, but instead, she mostly just feels her heart shatter a little bit more. Instead, she mouths 'love you' at her sister, and turns away, ignoring the tears welling up in her eyes. With a wave of her hand she sends a pulse of magic at the guards in their way, slowing their reactions and speed. Then she books it toward the exit.

Far too close to the assassin for her liking, Del recalls her many (many, many, many) mishaps into ice cream creation. Sure, the churning was rough, but working with liquid nitrogen was just not for her.... Suddenly, the red assassin is surrounded by a mess of poorly made ice cream—strawberry chocolate chip—and spilt liquid nitrogen.

Marked the area of her witch warping on the map (crammed into the corner so it only hurts the assassin. The area is difficult terrain for land speeds and...

DC 17 Fortitude for half damage.

Anytime a creature enters this area or begins their turn in the area, they take 3d4 cold damage (DC 17 Fort for half); they take this damage no more than once per round. (Note that this damage will go down each round starting on my next turn, but for now it's 3d4). Lasts 8 rounds.

You'll have to use the kalistocratic match-matching site. She won't mingle with anyone outside the faith." Del pauses, then chuckles and shakes her head. "Actually, that's probably the problem right there. Someone... less... I don't know! I trust you to figure it out!"

When Melissa gets her lead on Zlanai, Del tries to think of anything she recalls about her. Had they met..?

Levelled up and updated to the enhanced witchwarper as discussed a while ago. Biggest change is that her infinite worlds no longer drains her spell slots. Instead, she's got a duplicate pool of all the spell slots she has, which are solely used to power her infinite worlds. Her other new abilities are detailed in her profile, but they're unlikely to come into play.
Her new spell for this level is dispel magic.
And her new paradigm shift is flash teleport.

Del (thankfully) avoids gagging at the thought of heating her tea over dried dung. She tries not to let it distract her, and instead focuses on making the best pot of tea she can.

If she can't substitute her profession, this instead has to be a Dexterity check, which makes the result 15.

Ferocia shed her feathers like a tree sheds its autumn leaves and stood over Karzoug's personal treasures, a dwarf once more. She had little interest in his baubles, but at Drazh's words she paused, eventually picking up two rings and slipping them onto her fingers. (Ring of protection +5 [to replace her +3] and ring of freedom of movement)

Days pass, and as the others worry over gold and gems and ancient magic, Ferocia watches the people from the skies and from the shadows. They were leaving the ancient city of Xin-Shalast without a ruler, and that meant it was filled with both chaos and promise. It could become anything, under the leadership of anyone, and she wanted to make sure that whoever claimed it wouldn't march another army down the mountain. And so she stalked the city streets and mountain peaks in one of her many animal guises, or else wrapped in the fur of her yeti cloak, yearning for peace and quiet but begrudgingly doing what needed to be done.

In time, she returned to Sandpoint with her companions, stopping only long enough to drop a bag of gold off at her parent's house. It was enough to buy them a fine house, as well as each of her siblings. To buy a business or retire. To live however they pleased. And still they complained, jealous over the wealth that her companions displayed and assuming she was hoarding more from them. She wasn't, but she didn't bother to explain. She was done with them, and was moving on.

She helped the others for a time, Drazh with his tower, Azalia with her shop, Marten with his... well, she wan't much good to Marten at all, really, but she soared by from time to time to listen to him lecture. And she visited Anneka for her tasty treats.

But as the years rolled on she withdrew, slipping away into the woods for longer and longer. Years and on into decades.

She returned to the Shimmerglens where she had been raised in Myriana's court. She stayed for a time, coming to remember all those familiar faces she had forgotten. She explored the wilds and the woods, and even found her way into the riotous First World. But life among the fey proved too bright, too vibrant, too loud.

She longed for peace and quiet, and she did not find it there.

And so Ferocia returned to the home of her friends, in Grung Varn. She was surprised to find that Drazh was old by then—her time in the First World had changed her, and she wasn't entirely mortal anymore. She never stayed long, but stay she did, finally occupying the home Drazh had built for her at the top of his tower—she became the monster that haunted the upper reaches of Grung Varn and the stranger that came by to eat pastries with Azalia in her magic shop.

When Drazh passed on she stayed around the town longer, sure to keep a distant eye on his daughter. Drazh would never forgive her if something happened to Brunhild and when she one day met him in the afterlife, she wanted him to know she had tried.

Eventually the day came when Ferocia too passed on from this world, and the tower of Grung Varn was no longer haunted by her monstrous shadow, and Azalia's shop no longer smelt of bear claws and sweets. She returned to the earth, and finally found quiet. And she was at peace.

With a flick of her hand, the plow drives forward at high speed, ramming into the orange robot.

She begins to ramble about the pain of navigating from their current location, time wasted, how to optimize their route... and of course how she's stooping SO low to even deign to touch the controls.

Yes, I will definitely be rebuilding to the enhanced Witchwarper, after release, if allowed.

Yes, I wrote a ton for Starfinder Enhanced, and the whole Starfinder team helped concept all the enhanced classes, but I didn't personally write the enhanced witchwarper. I don't actually recall who on the Starfinder team wrote that one. It was definitely done internally (as in, not written by a freelancer). Regardless, I'm excited to actually do some reality warping! I've used infinite worlds like... once so far? Maybe twice?

Unable to properly get into the fight, Lilika hides around the corner, chants a few strange words, and vanishes—her own form transformed instantly into that of a tiny black and brown bat. She flies up to the ceiling and flutters around the corner and toward the battle, trying to be as quiet as possible. (Note that she's currently up near the ceiling above the nearest bad guy. I don't recall how high the ceiling is, but I'm assuming it's at least 10 feet)

Lilika casts her focus spell wild shape (pest form) to transform into a tiny bat with a fly speed (2A), then Sneaks around the corner and toward the fight by flying (1A). Because she was around the corner and completely out of sight, and now doesn't even look remotely the same, she shouldn't need to attempt a Hide check first, but if you want her to, the roll is the same, just change it's purpose.

Stealth:
Stealth Check to Sneak: 1d20 + 10 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 + 10 = 30 (Note that the second +10 is her bonus from Pest Form, and the first +10 is her own modifier for Stealth)

Del does her best to find a suitable sleeping space, hidden from the others. And, preferably, clean. And comfortable. But nothing suits her tastes.

Del spends the entire conversation gaping—mouth opening and closing with little more than a whimper coming out.

"Up until now, we've mostly tried to stick to safe cargo hauling, and we've run into trouble every time. Literally everything has spiralled out of control. Now, we're planning something super illegal, and absurdly challenging, and we're expecting we'll actually get out of it okay? ...Seriously?! I... What... I..." She sighs. "And why the heck are we always robbing people related to me? First my sister's ship, and now we're stealing a horde of treasure from the religion I was raised into? What the heck? Why can't we rob everyone else's families and churches? Why always mine?"

As the conversation moves on without her, she sighs. "It is EX family and EX religion, I suppose. But still. You guys are killing me." Another sigh.

"Melissa's right. We're not killing people. And—I can't believe I'm about to say this—Guess? is right, we need disguises. And if we need to infiltrate the ship, you're all going to need a crash course in the ways of the Kalistocracy. Whether you're posing as a nobody labourer or a wealthy Kalistocrat, you'll need to know what's taboo and what's normal to them. They're real big into purity, and..." She trails off and eyes her companions. "Oh goodness, we're all going to die on this job. I can't believe I'm even thinking about going along with you."

If she hits Karzoug, Ferocia can also immediately attempt to grapple him, thanks to her snatch feat, which she now has in owl form.

Her AC is 2 lower for 1 round. Also, note that her stat line and stat block in this owl form is off and not quite the right level. Use as is, but FYI that I'll be updating it when I have a chance, so my stats might suddenly improve slightly halfway through this fight.

Unsure how she could help calm the aglians, she decides to try to break them up instead. Del casts out her hands and casts a spell, making four pretty little flashlights shaped like fish appear. The lights dancing merrily in the water, twirling around as they approach some of the fish, and then bobbing off in an effort to lure some away from the swarm.

Dancing Lights. No idea what skill check you want to lure off fish with magic lights, but I'm rolling a check and adding some modifiers below.

Confident that she, at least, would survive whatever deathtrap was awaiting them, she touches the statuette to bail them all out of trouble.

Del shakes her head at Kaia as Melissa reopens the door. She presses on to the moon pool, and starts to help the others into the sub—being sure not to let Kaia in until they're all ready to go, lest she drive off and abandon everyone else in the name of "safety."

Double move on the round I missed, and this round she's starting to help others into the sub when she can. (Starting with Dev, if possible).

Del looks wide eyed at the struts.

Does she think she could pull one of the levers by piloting her sub if she hooked it up with a tow cable or something?? Assuming no...

"Well, this is horrible! We've got to get these repair bots activated!" She approaches one of the emergency panels, expecting to look super confused. "Oooh! Instructions! And they mostly make sense! Thank you NautiKEA!"

Del will spend the three rounds to activate the repair bots on this strut, leaving Strek to handle the other repair bots.

Del looks devastated at the messages, but then cocks her head at the android. "Wow, you're.... really deluded. Like... can't take no for an answer. Stalker-ish." She takes the comm unit and sends a quick message to her sister.

"Hey, Reisora, it's Del. So, this android who claims he's your boyfriend just tried to murder me (and failed, obviously, thank goodness) and judging by this he's not. So... thought you should know! He's giving off stalker vibes and you should probably get a restraining order. Be safe! And watch your wine a little closer next time, yeah? Much love, Del. P.S. Don't worry, Oliphaunt is doing great. Will send you test specs again soon."

Message sent, Del tries her best to erase her sister's contact information from the comm—who remembered people's comm-signal-numbers, anyway, right? She sure didn't...

At Melissa's suggestion, Del crosses her arms. "My advice is that he stays away from my sister if he values his appendages."

With the conversation over, Del climbs aboard her speedy little wave cutter, absolutely thrilled to be driving it.

"Wait, what was that sound...?" She looks at Strek. "Fish stories? What kind of fish stories? The 'eat-people' kind?" Del revs the wavecutter's engine, suddenly worried that the submarine is moving so slow.

"Yuuuuup, we should go."
