![]() Ok, let's get on with it then. "Let's get moving then Grea, we will use stealth to get close, I will make you invisible for 4 minutes, so you can do a quick scout. You must not attack anyone, even to defend yourself, or you will become visible again." Stealth: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Yuk.. this may not go well.... ![]()

![]() All of my spells are 1 min/level it would seem, so we need to get in quite close. Then I can either invisible a scout and let them run for 4 mins, or I can do that, *and* alter self and join them. Anything else I need a full rest for to swap spells about. I say we go for the second option. ![]()

![]() "Oh, I can do small things. Nothing that would stand up to a close inspection, but I can make strange noises a little way away, or lights dance and such like. I could also conjur a mist..... with lights and noises coming from it" Basically if I go all out, I can have Dancing Lights, Ghost sound, haunted fey aspect and mage had at will, disguse self, a couple of obscuring mist and a couple of silent image, and 4 invisibilities. But that would be all of my spell slots and leave nothing for enlarge person ;) ![]()

Like another vision or trick of the mind? That's my impression... Or something's turned us around and punted us out the south gate, or onto another world or something. Perhaps we just discovered why no one ever comes back out.... They do, but not where they expect. Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 Have we gotten punted out of a different gate, are their any landmarks we would recognise? ![]()

![]() "What else would you call what happened to us in there? Can you imagine if one of those visions didn't kill us right away? But instead kept you, living someone else's life for days, or weeks, while your body slowly died? I'm in no way saying that is what has happened to others in here, but it could be." ![]()

What do you think it will get like when the sun goes down?" "No, what we went through in there is not normal, it's extraordinary. Welcome to our lives. You have consistently failed to see that issues you fear, we deal with frequently. We have handled what would kill most, either directly, or by keeping them entranced until they starved. We will deal with whatever comes at night. The alternative is giving ourselves away to those who will surely kill us, which would be stupid." Jareen is getting quite annoyed with Danet's underestimations and pessimism. That's supposed to be Jareen and Arakan's job. ![]()

![]() Jareen takes a moment to realize he's back in reality. Then he erupts, "Arakan?!! What have you done? The information in that vision could be impossible to reveal any other way. apart from the fact that it could help us in our more long term plans, it could be of vital importance to the Vailled Alliance. We must see these vision through to the end." You can take the dusty old scholar out of the library, but you can't take the thrist for fobidden knowledge from his heart..... |
