The best way to get better at GMing is to do it. Talk to your local Venture Officer and offer your services. You'll be surprised at how fast you get better at GMing.

So I'm measuring their dimensions, pardon the pun, and determining if they can be contracted or expanded by outside influence. So far the results are promising. I may be close to a breakthrough in Cartiginus' Law of Exponential Dimensionality. Old coot will have to kiss my a$$ the next time we have breakfast." She sighs. "Senethar? Well, she's grouchy, grumpier even than our brother. I'd advise being polite and not pushy; she doesn't respond well to pushy. Mom always said she was too proud for her own good. I'd announce yourself before she sees you or else she's liable to attack anyway." She pauses. "Oh and don't get into the water in the next chamber to the west. There's a bunyip in the water. Nasty bite. Actually best not to go in there. They can move outside the water, too. And he's territorial. I think it must be mating season. Oh nd the next door down, the wards keeping water out have failed. There's a giant eel in there. He can't be reasoned with and he doesn't like intruders." She rubs her buttock ruefully.

You head back to the first chamber where the Unduine, Jorqual, is making notes in his notebook. He looks up as you pass through and stop. He frowns slightly and takes note of your looks. "Yes? Is something wrong? Do I have a crab on my head again?" He brushes his hair to dislodge any random crabs that might be there. "Tiny little clingers crawl everywhere, you know. I found one in my boot once. And I was wearing it at the time. Can't explain it."
