Jalthan waits to see if Jebediah's spell works. If two or more kobolds are standing, he will start narrating a story of high adventure.

"The Bold Striders! How quaint. I love it!" enthusiastically says the bard.

Jalthan looks pained. "You could at least give me your opinion on the Doombringer matter!" Then, he realizes that the creature is probably a ghost of some kind.

Jalthan was just explaining who Vapula is to his companions when he interrupts himself to answer the elderly kobold with a bow.

"Ahem, yes, good day to you as well! We're... the Doombringers! Indeed. How does that sound for a name?"

Listening to the old kobold, his curiosity is of course piqued. "Who is the Aeteperax? It awfully sounds like a dragon's name, but surely it isn't. A pseudonym, perhaps? A stage name?"

Jalthan starts encouraging his companions with a bawdy story.

Jalthan follows Falzeal, moving on his tiptoes.

Jalthan looks weak, but his resolve is strong and nods when asked whether they should press on.

"I for one trust her. I'm glad to have you along, Nighttail! Can you tell us what your friend Hak looks like?"

"I think she could be a great ally. I for one, trust her."

"Apologies! I only dabble at humanoid knowledge, and I honestly couldn't tell you apart from one of the male specimen of your tribe. My humblest apologies to you, Milady." he corrects as he bows curteously to her.

"Now, isn't that a true wonder to behold! A kobold who can speak our language. How civilised of you, Sir Kobold. You don't mind me calling you so, do you? In any case, what are you doing all bound like that? Did you do something to annoy your kinsmen? I'm Jalthan, by the way. Truly pleased to make your acquaintance!"

Jalthan does his best to hide his all too obvious pain coming from the sting at his neck.

"Let's just be careful from now on, will you?"

Jalthan also takes 10 for a final result of 15.

"That was easier than I anticipated... until now!"

Jalthan looks nervously at his companions. "Shall we all coordinate and shoot with bows and arrows at the same time to bring him down before he can warn his fellow kinskobolds?"

Lukas, don't forget that if we spend the night, we'll all heal 2 hp naturally. That may spare us some charges.

"All I have is this, and I'll gladly offer it to contribute." says Jalthan as he gives his 23 gp to Lukas so that he may buy the wand.

If we have enough for the wand we can spend the night, then heal the rest with the wand and return to the kobold caves the next day.

"A sound idea, I agree! Let's move back to town for now and heal our wounds."

I'm sorry I won't be able to contribute much, I have only 23 gp left.

We should definitely use all our resources for that! I'm also in favor of going back to town now.

I think I've already voiced my opinion about that in my last post, sorry if it wasn't clear. I don't mind moving forward.

"I don't mind pushing forward but I think I'll stay behind, it's such an appropriate place to get inspiration and a little... hindsight on our ongoing tale. Walk on, brave warriors!"

Seeing that the fight is almost won, Jalthan ceases to inspire his companions and comes nearer to the norther kobolds, and takes a shot at the green-scaled one.

"Let's take a left." suggests the bard.

If it matters, I'd say... the blue one! Blue is fun.

Judging he's too far to do anything, Jalthan hurries towards Jeb, bow in hand. Double move

Jalthan sighs, then reacts by moving in Celes's wake, grasping his bow in his hand.

Double move, but I'm not passing Celes. Hearth wisdom says "Never be between an angry barbarian and its prey"!

Meanwhile, Jalthan waits a bit further in the woods with his other companions, bow and arrow at the ready.

This is so exciting! They actually listened to my plan and it *might* work!

"The trap is the better idea. When the kobolds are lured into the trap, we can slaughter them and please our Celes!" enthusiastically proposes Jalthan.

"My, a creative mind! A lure seems a terrific idea, I like it! What would kobolds be interested in, I wonder? Meat? Gold? A maiden in distress? That could even turn out to be the part you were meant to play all along, my dear Celes! How about it, do you possess a dress or something that could draw them to you?" fancies the talespinner.

"To glory and beyond, then!" enthusiastically throws Jalthan. [b]"The quarry it is."

Holidays were chaotic as well here, celebrating until the 26th, then two days of convention GMing! I'm back now.

Jalthan welcomes the invitation to join the party with a bright smile.

"Why, of course! Who wouldn't dream of leaving his name in history instead of remaining a spectator for all his life! It is decided, I shall come with you and aid you in any way I can, and I will eventually write the tale of our story. I am Jalthan Arvandru, tale-teller extraordinaire!"

Jalthan grabs his bow and is ready to come along.

There's word of a new bard in town, a Varisian tale-teller who goes by the name of Jalthan Arvandru. No need to be a diviner to guess that he can be found at the local tavern. In search of tales and heroics, he might well be the friend you've always wanted to have!

Meet Jalthan Arvandru, my Desna-worshipping Varisian tale-teller! He's just arrived in Belhaim in search of inspiration for the book of tales and legends he's writing.

As for me, I'll also have to stop, since the following months will be hard for me to offer regular posting - I'm about to become a father for the first time in one week or so, hence my hands will be rather full too.

Best of luck with the campaign, I hope you find a replacement GM.
