I'm not sure Jacen has cast Soothe this entire adventure; would that help Kazmuk?

Apologies all, I felt like I posted in all of my games that I only just rejoined the workforce after a year and a half; it's different and wonderful all at the same time. Week 2, yayyyy.

I just want to make sure that we do a full rest; don't recall seeing that spelled out anywhere. Is that okay? Full rest, spells refreshed, refocused, real food. all that, if we can.

I took your journal post as inferring, Jacen shares X, Y, and Z with the group as he reads the journal, which was wonderful because I didn't have to post a relay message ;)

Looking around the room, you find a the torch lying casually on its side on the desk is an everburning torch. Nearby on the desk, a journal (written in Thassilonian) lies open to the most recent entry, which has no date. It’s an ancient journal Several pages in the middle of the journal contains two rituals: create undead and inveigle. A key sits on the

desk under the journal.
The iron-bound chest is locked with an average lock (DC 25 Thievery checks )

Does anyone read Thassilonian or can the open a lock?

Yep! thats ones dead. You also have your first round actions, so you actually get a full three more actions.

Thank you! We had one long night of serious concern, but the fire in our area was contained. That said, I am closer to Sunset Blvd; many of my friends who live even a couple streets north received an evacuation order :(

In other news, very much needed rain arrived in Los Angeles last night. I have gone to my balcony no less than 17 times just to listen to it.

It's not war god related, but your check learns that this is a priestess of Gogunta-the demon lord of fetted swamps. While not nessassarily a friendly god/demon, its not in line with some demon lord of rot and decaying metal.

The frog looks at you and says, My subjects and I were looting this temple. Its fallen to something beyond the god that once ruled here. You are friend friend. I will give you badge to prove you friend! The frog takes out a few twisted amagamation of brances and bones the size of a badge.

The frogwoman seems genuine. After you give her some privacy, she gets out of the mud and gets dressed. The frog priestess meets you and says, Why are you here? What do you want?

Do you know what we have been through to arrive at this very much unintended "interruption"? We are not wandering this labyrinth without purpose, facing demon spawn and cultists at every turn simply for the opportunity to disturb you whilst bathing. Jacen, clearly, is a touch exasperated. It isn't that the lore of the land and all of their childhoods didn't include strange stories about buried grottos and the like, but this, after all they had been through, was like the gods laughing at them.

Did we actually peek into all the D6s? That leaves 2 smaller rooms on the north side of the map, correct?

Can someone go ahead and help me with "losing out on any chance of saving the Elder ..." - missed that, like totally. Probably because we have no indication of that, but just checking. She was alive enough to write the note.

Sorry (not sorry), but I've had this problem with false sense of urgency in other campaigns and I can't really deal with it at the moment. There is virtually nothing imminent or immediate that they are aware of, so I'd like to be able to align myself with the situation if we can figure it out.

I think thats right. Right now you went through a cave to a new place. there you found a crazy door with old evil language written on it. Past the door were two rust armors who attacked you and past that door was a crazy dwarf, three acolytes, and an altar to a dark god. Youve killed dwarf and one acolyte and shut down the alter.

In full transparency, I have wanted to attend GenCon for roughly ... my whole life. Having attended ComicCon not once, but twice, GenCon still has not yet happened. Have an amazing time!

Jacen shares with the group that the door is labeled SKYMETAL WORKSHOP, but he is not altogether certain what that means. He IS certain though that a great deal of cost and craftsmenship went into the door mechanism ...

off to the below! You head into the basement and walk into the dark. After going deeper you come upon a rusted iron door stands in the northern wall of this chamber. A series of symbols are embossed on the door, arrayed around a much larger shape that’s been gouged into the rust: a spiked horseshoe. The door emits a strange brownish-red glow and has no visible handles, latches, or hinges.

All sounds good! You do search the place from top to bottom. And quite literally the top. When you go back to the very top of the place and get a little too close for comfort to the heads on pikes on the room, you unfortunately find the captain. He is very dead, but you do have closure.

Do you want to go back and tell them?

Without a spell like Gentle Repose, we really can't preserve the head of the captain, but we could at least take it with us. Jacen is disinclined to spend the time to inform them now though, when both the Elder and Osprey Cover are hanging in the balance.
