Those are some good points! One of my characters (Dwarf Fighter) was recently stunned for an entire combat (along with another frontline fighter) and it did suck. That's the way of the game, we survived becuase the other characters saved our behinds. I like the commment by SmiloDan;

"At least give the dude a mook to fight his friends with if you're gonna incapacitate PCs on a regular basis."

That's classic!

Arrow, Blunt: These arrows have rounded wooden tips.

They deal bludgeoning damage rather than piercing
damage. An archer can use a blunt arrow to deal nonlethal
damage (at the normal –4 attack penalty for using a lethal
weapon to deal nonlethal damage).

Cool, thanks!

Honestly unless the player make a huge deal about it would you even notice it in the heat of battle?

I don't know...?

I don't have the APG yet, can anyone tell me the Damage and any other important details for blunt arrows?

IMO, blunt arrows or bolts would not make a darn bit of difference to an undead skeleton. However, if "by the rules" blunt bolts make my shots more effective against targets with DR vs Piercing weapons then I'm gonna keep a few handy.

Thanks for the replies!

1 person marked this as FAQ candidate.

Hey all,

Where can I find the details about blunt arrows/bolts? It's really hard for a low level gnome rogue to damage skeletons with piercing weapons! My guy is in the market for blunt crossbow bolts.
Cost, per bolt or per case? Also, could they be considered "Mundane Equipment"?

Hey,

Just wondering if there are any players in or around Danville/Champaign Illinois. I just played my first PF game at Gencon Indy and met some guys from Chicago but that's a bit far. Let's hear from the downstate peeps!

One,

Ivelus (1st level Elf Ranger)

I was a player in one of the Saturday morning Gencon games of Shipyard Rats. Ours was not a TPK but only 2 of us survived. Me (Elf Ranger) and the Cleric were captued, beat, interogated and then let go. We got no XP and 36 gold each. Wooh Hooo! In all honesty, our group stunk! We had 2 players that were just totally random and kept splitting the party. Never a good idea at 1st level. Our GM was gritting his teeth after the first 10 minutes and we could only hear half of what was said because the room was so loud. That all said, I can't wait to play again. Hopefully with a better group and a more patient DM. :)
