Devices aren't really her forte at all. Such things are better left to machinists, or random goblins if you are looking a little fun. Though somewhat beneath her station to be fidgeting with a bomb on a rat's corpse, she made a promise and that meant something. The experience would at least be noteworthy.

As instinct as her guide she makes work of dexterous fingers not used to this kind of manipulation to stop that grating ticking.

RETCON!

Propelled by her frustration and annoyance for this trap, Iskra comes up alongside Clarence lashing out at a cornered rat. Watching the vermin slump lifelessly after being struck by one of Clarence's blows she doesn't much care anymore if Aspis wanted these rats for some reason. They are RATS and she has no intentions of holding back either.

The satisfaction of the rodent's demise is sweet and she shortens her step to a decisive and controlled pace. As Clarence is pulling back from his last fatal blow Iskra can still hear the tick of the device.

"Go find another of these wretched things, Clarence. I'll handle the rest of this." she promises him with a respectful nod of her head.

She leans over the thing as fidgets with it's device.

Propelled by her frustration and annoyance for this trap, Iskra comes up alongside the rat. With Clarence she has got the wretch trapped. She doesn't remember or care if Aspis had some intention for these rats. They are RATS and its got to go before that ticking stops.
Haste makes waste and as much as she wants to just clobber the critter she cannot let this frustration become a distraction. She holds back a blind lunge from her stride to take a breath, fix her posture, and get into form before a quick feint and thrust. Though with more passion behind the flick of the blade through the air.

Chasing after rodents is not what she had in mind in the slightest and feels very beneath her, but she doesn't really have a choice. As a consolation at least one of these pests ran next to here (Yellow). She flairs her blades in challenge before lunging at the rat in a series of Feints and Strikes.

A packing error!? Aspis should be spending their money on better packers and labellers, not mercs. I would tell them this, but that is bad for job security.

Iskra runs her handkerchief over some of the blue residue. Bringing it up for a closer inspection she tries to remember anything about the smell, texture or color to jog her memory.

"I suppose thats it then. Should we check for poisons or hidden bugs?" She huffs and then looks the the crate at the end of the dock.

"The lazy bums couldn't even get the crate off the pier? Terrible place to be if its trapped or hiding something bigger than listed..." Takes a quick look back at the lizard's crate.

Turning back to the last crate and then to the other mercs with a stern look, "I have a bad feeling about this last one. Aspis wouldn't be paying us this much if they weren't properly paranoid about sabotaged shipments. So far the worst we have found is a small but severe labelling error. One chance left to find a magical spell, alchemical bomb, or hidden enemy of Aspis."

That said if Rickle, is so nervous about it maybe he should open it, and we can back him up if he was right." she adds backing up behind his waving and giving a look to Wysteriaa which might be interpreted as waiting for cues from her, but might also be interpreted as that look you get when you don't remember if you've left your inn room unlocked when you left in the morning.

"We gave them more than they could eat, but I am in no mood for a rematch. Lets close this up put a big notice on the side and move on."

Breathing heavily Iskra sheathes her weapons and pulls a handkerchief from per pocket and wipes away her perspirations.
What... was that supposed to be safe... the safe cargo Aspis was expecting?

She looks to Rickle to acknowledge him, "Yes, a good bout it might have been but we have earned our time on the bench to recuperate before the next b~~!@~~s."

Doggedly determined indeed. Others might call inflexible, but Iskra is proud and stubborn and won't let even the most perceptive foes force her to compromise. Victory of the worthy foe is itself worth the dedication.
That said a duelist with only one series of moves is a bad duelist, a simple change in aggression is no concession to the beast.

She alters her gripe for lighter attacks. One more feint for good measure, but then all sting!

My Feinting is taking a lot of time. Maybe I should roll three at a time when fishing for Panache and we can ignore the rolls after the pass. Like roll three, but if the 1st one succeeds we just rewind to the 2nd action, or third action if it is the first fails but the second succeeds. If the second fails its my last action so pass or fail my turn is over.

I am a Swashbuckler, I am just a bad fighter without Panache. I thought about tumble, but they are in cages so that won't really work either. Its just the weakness of Swashbucklers that they struggle against anything with good Reflex and/or Perception/Will. But since the odds are bad would it be alright if I roll three feints at once and we just take back all feints after the one that succeeds. That way I am only taking 2 turns at most. I am going to Feint again, at least this time my turn is over one way or the other.

Annoyed, but not flustered, Iskra pivots again to faint at a different angle. Deeply focused on getting into the rhythm of her attacks and get not just a hit in on the creature but one that shows the superiority of her technique.

Iskra pivots on the balls of her feet to face the lizard which is still actively biting out at her and the rest of the team. Keepings a look out for a sudden change in behavior from the last lizard she shifts priorities to a foe she can see instead of playing a guessing game. If the first lizard wants more it can ask for it!

As her toes finish their turn her heel slams down to the ground, a slide from the leading foot out towards the monster making her profile low in the reach of her sword. Yet it is yet another feint. The last never learned and this second one will regret its persistence!

Slipping free she still feels the sweat running down her neck from the bite. She twirls from the slip maneuver into a finishing flourish and then seemlessly into another feint to really send the foe reeling in the blitz of practiced swordplay. When done with her combo she bends her knees ever so slightly ready to dodge.

Wow that hurt

Iskra reels in pain at the bite, it is almost more than she can stand and now Rickle is on the ground completely passed out! Her mind is at risk of being lost in a panic, but she centers herself on the fundamentals.

Taken aback by the vulgarity of the moment "What in the nine hells!" as she is twisting away from the gapping mouth.

She draws her short sword and parrying dagger with a flourish (Two Actions)

"Try to keep these disgusting things alive for Aspis!". She had doubts if any of them are even listening or care to save their payday, but she has witnesses that she tried.

Despite the awkward circumstances she sets her posture as a proud duelist and opens with a signature Feint! (This will be a Goading Feint from the Class Feat of the same name. I use it to lower their attack and get Panache. Like other Feints it is my Deception vs their Perception DC and is one action)

Iskra spots a crowbar just over on the side of an area some dockworkers are busy. She is more interested in looking for traps. Maybe Clarence would grab it for her.

Putting an arm restainingly on Rickle's shoulder, "Slow down there, lil killer. I respect your instincts, but if the Consortium wanted dead lizards they wouldn't have ordered lives ones..." She stops to think for a moment,

With she slowly looks over the crates for damage, tampering, or if they might have been switched with dummy crates during delivery.
