Direct intercession and hand to hand was required to prevent more; how many times do you think we can get lucky by a foe dropping such an item? in my experience; there is no luck; only the watchful eye and intercession of our beloved Emperor. Thus, I encourage them to consider their actions and purge themselves of fear and thus; close their wicked mouths and consider how better they can defend all humanity against the plethora of foes; alien; psycher; choas and more that abound against us.

/ooc does my character know about the legend of the starchild? I this thing alien or just something from Adeptus Mechanicus? Not sure where the law of the imperial ban on somethings like psychers, aliens, and xenos fits in here. I have never heard of a servitor cherub; is this a common thing?

I get cleaned up during the preflight; select a seat and buckle in; clean my weapons; reload magazines; eat a snack; rehydrate and meditate; generally watching everyone for signs of weakness and growing mutation, especially that psycher :)

Val, one thing to remember, like Bal said, what is written in quotes is what is said aloud. Please don't feel affronted for what his character thinks. I'm perfectly willing to accept Ishmael as something of a violence-prone, slightly irrational character but by the same token, Savalos can be a snarky, sarcastic hiver scum. Some intra-party conflict can be good for RP'ing as long as it doesn't get out of hand or become interplayer squabbling.

Also, I'm not sure how familiar you are with the Redemptionist cult in 40k, but they are essentially perceived as ultra-orthodox violence-driven nutcases by a lot of the established, traditional clergy. This is, in a sense, a good thing for how you are portraying him, as it justifies some of your tendencies. The Imperial Faith is widely adhered to, as Uriah's frequent oaths attest, but your character will sometimes need to fight for acceptance, particularly among the more baseline clerics. The cool part is you get to burn things, with fire... a lot.

Breathing heavily; Ishamael sniffs and wipes his brow; head down dragging his hammer; walks into the hangar still with a slightly mad, crazed look.

"It is not my home" shaking, Ishmael grips his hammer in a white knuckled grip; suddenly, in a bout of maddness begins pounding on the body with his hammer over and over.

Afterwards; willl gather a autopistol and some extra ammunition

Not having a recorder; I lean close to the man to hear who the oaths and such are to that we gain more insight.

Johnnie halts as soon as he has an open shot, braces both feet, levels the heavy handcannon, and the tremendous 'boom' momentarily overwhelms the sound of the ringing klaxons.

The round strikes the super-reinforced plastic of the attacker's flak vest and crumples it like a shoddy beverage container, ripping away a panel with the force of the impact before the bullet passes through the man's body on his right side, finally exiting out through his upraised left arm. The exit wound breaks the bone easily, and the autopistol flies out of his hand, spinning across the hanger deck-plates like a miniature, out of control gun-cutter caught in an atmospheric storm. His ruined arm falls weakly to his side, and he slumps in agony, screaming with pain against the left-hand bulkhead door.

Ishmael, breathing heavily, raises the hammer high overhead should a death blow be needed, but the Redemptionist cleric shows admirable and surprising restraint, staying his hand when he realizes the man is completely incapacitated, both arms hanging limply at his sides.

An authoritarian, static-filled voice, barely audible over the alarm klaxons still overwhelming the vox-speakers tries to make itself heard. Across the vast width of the hanger bay you can see a pair of engineering techs in their ratty blue jumpsuits scrambling from cover to exit as quickly as possible from the landing bay through a door on its far side now that the shooting has stopped.

When the fight is over; will pick up and stowe the grenade

/ooc as no one came to join the melee with him, is thinking everyone else is petrified with fear hiding in thier little cubbies looking for safety, and marks the spot of the grenade in his mind for later and winds up his hammer for a mighty blow. hehe

I curiously try to note what weapons they are using; shotguns, what kind and what else do they look like they are carrying; are they armored as well?

<while trying to instill a fervour in the group; I continue to attempt to calmly aim and fire controlled shots, thinking to be ready with my hammer if we close, but loving the sound of gunfire>

With unshakable faith and my other gun skills; I calmly and efficiently take out my autopistol; aim; and shoot to kill these heretics. Hopefully others will draw faith from my calm, well placed shots.

Having not heard from Albrek or Ishmael, and given Savalos' opportunity to warn everyone, they can forgo their Awareness checks.

Be patient Uriah, the slow flame burns long, I have no desire to see the captain, are you so knowledgable about this ship or this stewart as to really know where we are headed? Duplicity abounds, but now they know that I know what they know I know; therefore we dont really know what we know but then neither do they know what we know we know so we are all once again on equal footing.
