Envoy's Alliance

Female Human

Iris smiles and waves to Mimi while she leaves:

"See you tomorrow, Mademoiselle."

She raises her glass and drinks from it. Starting to feel quite happy, Iris asks out loud:

"Is there a bard in here? I'd love some music!"

Envoy's Alliance

Female Human

Sorry, I made a mistake. I thought it was a repeatable, but I made a confusion with Port Peril. So, I had to cancel my signing up.

Unfortunately, Mimi and Iris won't play together soon.

Iris smiles to Mimi:

"Yes, let's go tomorrow morning. And if it's not for this mission, maybe for another one. I was scared by the years of training, but if there are ways to avoid them... let's avoid them!"

Iris raises her glass to Mimi and drinks a big mouthful of wine... and nearly chokes on it.

"This wine is strong!"

Her cheeks are red because of the alcohol, she's obviously not used to drinking.

Mimi's mission tickles Iris' curiosity.

"A short mission you say? One that can fill my purse?"

She shakes her purse and there are so few coins in there that no sound gets out of it.

"Can't you get me in? Please, please, please Mimi! I'm sure there's a way..."

Iris makes a puppy face hoping to convince Mimi to help her on that.

"I heard there are commissioned agents, maybe there are special ciscumstances where a non-Pathfinder can be accepted. Like a trial?"

I find the idea of playing with Mimi amusing so I've signed Iris up. Maybe will she become a Pathfinder after all!

Envoy's Alliance

Female Human

Iris pouts at Mimi's joke.

"You should not use your confidence and charm to bug people, Mimi. And...", she frowns to look a bit severe, "I only bite hard."

Iris pauses, thinking what Mimi would actually understand of her words. Well, she'll certainly have to learn to use all this innuendo, let's start early.

But she suddenly raises an eyebrow when Fjorn speaks about a white wurm and stands up to take a glance at his posters. The Whitefang Wyrm... Is it a recurrent problem or is the newcomer taking credit for a mission he hasn't been part of?

But Iris doesn't see the point in confronting him. She just points the notice board and asks:
"I see they are looking for a party for the Witch Winter Holiday that should happen at the end of the month. Are you planning to go there?"

Envoy's Alliance

Iris smiles to Patrick in a very gentle way and answers delicately:

"Thank you very much for the information."

When Brunwulf speaks about her rapier, Iris has an instinctive defensive reaction. But it's only when Mimi speaks of noble with her clear galtan accent that she answers quickly:

"I'm no noble... I mean... I heard you are separating noble heads from noble bodies in Galt."

She seems very annoyed by her disclosure and how it may raise more questions, she tries to change the subject clumsily:

"My name's Iris. Glad to meet you, Mylord and Madame."

She tries a smile, without much assurance.

Envoy's Alliance

Iris is surprised when Brunwulf speaks of Pathfinder.

"Being a Pathfinder? Are you all Pathfinders? Is this tavern only for Pathfinders?"

She seems a little bit concerned. She was starting to relax a bit, she doesn't want to leave now.

She smiles at Mimi's facial expression when tasting the wine. She takes a small sip of her glass to see if it's that awful. Well, it's not exactly good. She reluctantly swallows, but then plays with her half full glass without touching it again.

"It looks like there is wine and wine, madame."

Envoy's Alliance

Iris seems very pleased by the price of the stew:

"Then stew it is! Bring me a big bowl, I'm starving!"

She then whispers to Leo:

"I've met a Pathfinder in my sol... previous contract. She already told me a lot about the Society. She spoke about years of training, it's a real vocation. I'm not sure I'll have enough patience to go through such a long process. I'm looking at something more immediate to fill my purse."

She thinks a second about Leo's proposition, looking at the open stool Seedy showed her, then answers:

"Thank you for your proposition, but I'll gently refuse. I want to blend in a bit to find what I'm looking for. Now that I know the place is quite cheap, I will stay a bit longer."

And she gracefully moves to the stool at the bar. Greeting her new neighbour with a smile, she says in a polite and amused manner:

"I won't follow you with bièwe, Madame. But if you accept me next to you, I'll be glad to share the wiwes."

Iris' galtan is definitely bad, was it worth the try?

Envoy's Alliance

Female Human

Iris seems confused, too. She blushes a bit while scratching her head. She whispers back:

"I'm sorry, I have seen some unacceptable proposition behind your words, but it looks like I was wrong. I'm new in town and I..."

She hesitates a bit before continuing:

"I'm a little scared. I expect to find a job quickly. I've seen some bounties on the board and I'm looking for a serious party who will accept an extra sword. You look like someone of experience, maybe you know where I can find that?"

Envoy's Alliance

Female Human

Iris seems offended by the proposition. She answers without whispering:

"I'm not who you think I am!"

She stares at Leo when saying in a lower voice:

"I don't know you and I don't beg for charity. And I don't understand why you speak in my head. You should really change your ways with women!"

A bit upset, she calls again for the waiter.

Envoy's Alliance

Iris sighs. She could have used some company, but looking at her purse, she just feels ashamed. She finishes counting her few coins and raises a hand toward the bartender.

"What do you have to eat? And how much does it cost? If you have something cheap and nourishing, I'd like that."

Envoy's Alliance

Female Human

Iris feels a bit annoyed to be suddenly the center of attention. And the drunken lady's proposition doesn't look like one you can dismiss with a "No, thank you.".

"I... I... I'm just here for a meal. I don't want to disturb. I'm sure there are plenty of people who will gladly drink with you."

While speaking, Iris can't refrain from looking at the lady from tip to toe. She surely is quite the sight.

Envoy's Alliance

Female Human

Iris enters the tavern without a sound and looks around. Her eyes pass on the flamboyant woman and the bartender to stop on the notice board. She slowly moves to the board, her hand on the hilt of her rapier as if there could be danger. She starts reading the job offers, especially the adventuring ones. After a minute, she takes a table nearby, sitting quietly. She then puts her purse on the table and starts counting her coppers, pensively.
