Shows me up but not sure what failed save did so I assume I do nothing. Let me know if I should act. Guys probably our best chance to kill these things since we can see them and are limiting it to 2 at a time.

Except that's what I do as soon as the darkness appears, before it climbs into the rope trick and the will save can't affect anyone in the rope trick until they enter it unless it affects other dimensions/planes.

OK... So the spell in PF is worthless, got it. As soon as the darkness appears in the room, He uses a scroll of grease, reaching down and covering the rope with grease. 5 min. Let them waste time climbing a rope that apparently just attaches to the ceiling. Maybe they will think it's stupid to try climbing greasy ropes that go nowhere. Irenicus wakes the others and warns them that some creatures may try to climb into the rope trick. Free action after grease, since the "fear" can't reach through the portal before they climb into it.

I assume they can see invisibility or something otherwise it's just a ceiling. Are you saying they climbed into the rope trick? Is that even possible if the wizard doesn't want them to enter? I would guess that they'd have to at least enter the closed room, notice the rope, see invisibility, and then wait around for the spell to end when we leave. And where is the cleric? Are we not getting one?

Not sure the will save would reach us but rolled anyway see spoiler. Btw rope is in corner of room. rope trick: The upper end is, in fact, fastened to an extra-dimensional space that is outside the usual multiverse of extra-dimensional spaces. Creatures in the extra-dimensional space are hidden, beyond the reach of spells (including divinations), unless those spells work across planes. The space holds as many as eight creatures (of any size). The rope cannot be removed or hidden. The rope can support up to 16,000 pounds. A weight greater than that can pull the rope free.
Spells cannot be cast across the extra-dimensional interface, nor can area effects cross it. Those in the extra-dimensional space can see out of it as if a 3-foot-by-5-foot window were centered on the rope. The window is invisible, and even creatures that can see the window can’t see through it.

Irenicus pulls out a 5ft length of rope and moves to the corner, muttering an incantation. It floats up and disappears into the ceiling. Rope trick 5hrs, holds 8 people. "We may be safer sleeping in here. I will need to renew it midway through the night." We can see out but no one can see in, extradimensional space, holds everyone. Probably better for sleeping than the middle of the dungeon. Halfway through the night during the change in watches, Irenicus refreshes the rope trick.

Well I think he should, it turns into an NPC and leaves and the character would probably do it, but I don't really care about healing the barbarian so I'm fine with whatever. Watch order irenicus and Virgil, Gruk and mittleid, elathras and new cleric?

Wow good memory elathras I completely forgot that. Not too worried about it though, slim chance and if it happens it happens. I'm cool with the rules as stated. Definitely don't want the game to end. Agree on town trips being simple bookkeeping or downtime. Pbp won't ever be fast but one post per person on purchases should be good with minimal discussion. Anyway brv I think you missed it but was there a shield that detected as magic? Did I ID the magic on the chest or was it coming from the vials in the compartment? Anything else magical that we didn't identify?

We have our own fort we rebuilt nearby. I suggest that we just wait and buy the components as necessary and can even store them in the fort or take breaks for crafting, then when we go bring enough components for adventuring crafting. If it takes 10k gp components you could still adventure and craft with only 5k and pick up the rest when making a trip to town.

So it's 2 days work accelerated since you can only get 2hrs done per day if adventuring and it takes 4hrs accelerated. Brv I thought you brought a bunch of people to the ferry who can buy/sell so we didn't need to go to bards gate? Before our long break?

Since the crafting section says wonderous items need material 1/2 it's price, the most obvious being the item itself, does that mean we can use cloaks as the material plus gold? So we only need to find 5 cloaks to enchant, pile gold on them and chant some mumbo jumbo for a couple hours?

Mitleid keep in mind even at 50% cost it would buy a +4 Wis headband with 10k go left over. Though I forgot Wis is your attack stat so would probably help you most if not sold. At the least it might be better to buy the +4 Wis and wait for a bigger inherent bonus. I never liked how the lower tomes are wasted if you want to increase the bonus later on.
