HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() Guys sorry for no posts during the last 4 days. My company decided to send me in the field, and in Nigeria internet is not really available in the rural areas. Just got home, tired as hell. Will go to the office in the morning and start regular posting then (10-12 hours from now). Cheers. ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() "I've had enough of your mumbling priest!" - Iliya, who is easily irritated, simply has had enough of deranged man's chanting. He cuts a piece of cloth and proceeds to stuff it in De Mon's mouth, not caring much about formalities. Satisfied that the mumbling has finally stopped, Iliya prods him with the but of his great axe towards the circle: "Move, you bastard!" ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() Iliya takes a long coil of rope from his backpack and proceeds to tie one end tightly around Nathanos' neck, before loosing the same rope to tie his hands behind his back. Leaving about 10' of free rope, he curls the rest around his left hand and shoulder. Gripping his axe again, he states briefly: "OK, lead us towards where the child escaped. Slightest sign of trickery and my first action is to behead you." Intimidate: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9 "Who will take care of the loot? I can carry a few more items if needed..." ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() Just to see if I get this correctly, we have been searching 6 kids in total and so far we have located only 2 of them alive, is that correct? Do we have the bodies of all 4 of the dead kids, or some are still missing?And finally Mathus took corpses of 2 dead kids, If I understood correctly? Looking at the corpses of dead children, Iliya's temper almost overcomes him, and before he's even aware of it, he is striding towards the naked man, axe raised high for a deadly strike. His companions pleas make him change his mind at the last second (after all, they helped young barbarian survive this far) and instead of chopping man's head off, he brings his axe down hard on the dark tapestry Nathanos was glancing at in a final act of frustration. "Are there more captives in here? Children or adults?" If I am not mistaking we have all leveled up...? ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() I know...honestly, I have envisioned this (stripping) as a part of typical process for humiliating the captured enemy in his and the neighboring tribes. That's why I "push" it in a way. If you do find in inappropriate for this board or your story, please say so and I will adjust accordingly. But from what I see, you're only teasing Iliya now :-) ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() "He told us all he knew. He is of no help to us anymore. Let me repay him for this children. I am willing to carry his blood on my hands, and his pitiful soul on my conscience." - Iliy brandishes his great axe, but holds it steady, waiting for the reply of his comrades. For him this was a simple matter - this man did not deserve to leave. The barbarian simply did not care about the tough and unfair childhood or whatever else this creature could invoke. He was guilty as hell, and he deserved to be judged by Pharasma. While waiting from the replies of his friends, Iliya directs necromancer to undress completely, removing everything he had while having absolutely no qualms in seeing the man naked. "Pray for little soul you have left creature, cause you do not deserve to live at all, and I shall end you!" ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() With the spells grip finally loosening, Iliya stops and it takes him a few moments to understand where he is and what has happened. Shame for deserting his comrades and succumbing to fear overwhelms him, and barbarian almost cries in silent frustration. Gripping his weapon, he starts to race back as fast as he can, hoping that his friends are still alive. Run as a full-round action (I think that is the fastest?) ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() I'm guessing Iliya has to flee now for 2 rounds, taking all (any) attacks of opportunity along the way, right? Also, I am guessing I can end my rage, while fleeing? For AoO's - Iliya AC will now be at 20 due to rage end and Protection from Evil from Pyotr. ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() Will save: 1d20 + 2 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 2 + 2 + 1 = 13 Completely focused at Nathanos, Iliya finishes a swing not even paying any attention to the creature he just fell. He makes another step forward towards the newly approaching zombie, when head priest's voice, coupled with necromantic spell from one of his aids combine in his own head, showing him a vision of dead Golarion, a lifeless, empty world. His eyes widening in surprise, Iliya shouts from the top of his lungs "Nooooo!!!!" as the images in his head tug on his sanity. Not paying any attention to his own safety (or that of his comrades) he flees, trying to run from this horrific image. I've included also the +2 for Protection from Evil cast by Pyootr on me at the beginning of this fight, and still it was not enough :-( ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() Still eerily silent barbarian continues his deadly dance with calculated preciion. Effortlessly, he steps over the remains of the skeleton he just fell, goes around the pillar avoiding fiery barrier and swings mid-step aiming for the shape just behind the barrier. All the time, his attention is focused at the creature who just killed an innocent child. Barely controlling his rage, Iliya makes another step towards de Mon son slicing at enemies while hardly noticing them, focused on his real target. Power attack, Rage: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 4 + 2 = 20
Rage round 4: AC 16 (-2 rage), HP: 20/18 ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() I just edited my original post, if I am not mistaking my Power attack damage should be +12 (with rage) not original +11. Here's the thinking: STR bonus: +6 (+4 normal +2 for rage)
For a total of +12 - is that correct? ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() As if they trained this together, Iliya does almost the same thing as Henry - simply charges the nearest skeleton not bothering to change his weapon. He just moves as fast as he can and allows the cold hatred deep within himself to be transformed into a deadly fury which he directs to the nearest target. Free action - Rage
Rage round 3: AC 14 (-2 for rage, -2 charge); HP 20/18 ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() Similar to Henry, Iliya simply grasps his great axe tighter and charges off straight towards the the source of that strange raspy voice. No words, no battle cries, just cold hatred ready to be transformed into an all out attack on what barbarian considered was the master-mind behind this insanity. ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() "Nilan, wait up! Let Stephan and me take the lead, it's safer like that"! - Iliya almost has to shout while trying to catch up with the frantic priest. Taking his usual place behind/next to Stephan, barbarian continues at a brisk pace towards the direction Nilan was showing, following catfolk's lead. ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() Iliya simply follows the others, taking his "usual" position either next to Stephan, or slightly behind him. He awaits quietly while Mathus fiddles with the chest. Why don't they simply allow me to break the lock and be done with it? ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() Surprised by the blast of cold energy passing just a few inches in front of him, Iliya was barely able to contain himself not to curse very loudly. Weapon in hand, he was just contemplating crashing the nearest gargoyle head when Pyotr steps forward. Not knowing what to expect, barbarian stands aside hesitantly, waiting for the more "knowledgeable types" to work their magic. ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 (Again!) Not noticing anything special, Iliya follows Stephan to the room, making sure he tries to stay as close as possible to the wall in order not to slip on all the ice. His weapons at the ready, he could see the thin layer of ice slightly crackling under his weight. Still quiet, he refocuses his attention to the nearest gargoyle figure, as if waiting it to become alive. ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() Just a clarification - with the latest 135 XP (handed out on Friday), should not we be at 570 as total. I have this at Iliya's character sheet, and as you can see it was time-stamped as Friday 14.03. so almost 2 weeks ago - XP: 435 (14.03.2014 23:45 WAT) So if I am not mistaken our new total XP is 570, and not 435 as you have in your signature. Can you please confirm that? ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() Watching the equipment Henry hauled in, Iliya thinks for a second or two before deciding. "That metal armor seems much better than these hides I'm carrying. Plus it seems to be my size. If you priests don't think I can catch some kind of undead disease from wearin'it, I'd take it. Nylan, Mathus, what say you - can I take and wear that armor?" If, and only if, he gets a valid assurance from the learned people around him, Iliya would take one of the breastplates and wear it instead of his hide armor. Also, noticing the quality of longswords, he would probably simply strap one to his back - you never know when you might need it, before following close at Stephan's heels (paws?). Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() Still elated by healing powers of Pharasma, Iliya nods quickly in appreciation towards Nilan, before pulling his arm to help haul him out of the enveloping bedlam. He proceeds to move around the maelstrom, maneuvering towards Henry. Despite the burly ranger obvious resourcefulness and self-sufficiency, barbarian knew that every battle was a chaos of a sorts, this one even more than others, and he wanted to be close by if any of his allies required assistance. Double move towards Henry, avoiding the maelstrom ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() Aggravated at the nasty gash he received on his leg, Iliya's lips curl in anger, as he tries to return the favor. Understanding that he has an undead and probably unthinking creature in front of him, barbarian forgoes any attempts of finesse and slams his enemy with all his might straight across the chest. Great club attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 *With Power Attack
![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() Absolutely correct - actually, that is the only reason I did not do a charge/rage combo. I was unsure if that was "doable", and I did not want to drop the axe. Thank you for understanding. I'll make sure to check the rules more properly before posting next time. ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() Confused at first with the events transpiring around him, Iliya is jerked from the disarray by Nilan's shout. Listening to priests advice, barbarian hefts his trusty great axe at his back, and draws a big beating stick. He advances past the nervous yet triumphant Matius, raising his club to swing at the armored skeletal creature... Great club attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 ...but it seems that the distraction provided by the maelstrom, coupled with alchemist's unnatural growl, were more than enough for Iliya's blow to simply bounce back of the undead creature armor. ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() Disgusted by the sight in front of him, Iliya reacts instinctively - he tries to rip off the rest of the tapestry before listening to Stephan's advice and goes to rejoin the rest of the group. He falls in his usual place (immediately behind or next to Stephan, depending on the surrounding) and proseeds fo follow the catfolk lead. ![]()
HP: 18/18 || AC 18 (touch 12, flat 16) || F/R/W +4/+2/+1 Init +2, Perception +4
![]() Remembering what happened in the previous room where the skeletons came to (un)life, Iliya proceeds to move slowly ahead and to the left (west). Tightly grasping his weapon, he casts inquisitive glances both left and right, but mostly his attention is focused on the two stone sarcophagi ahead of them. Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 ![]()

![]() By Desna, what kind of man you'd have to be to side with darkness, with death over life...If you choose those monstrosities over the natural way of things, then you should not live also - grasping his great axe with all his might, his knuckles turning almost white, Iliya's gaze is completely fixated on Slugworth. Finally, Henry's voice forces him to refocus his attention, and he decides. Later, you scum. We shall meet later... Spitting in the general direction of the cage that wretched excuse for a human was now locked in, Iliya walks slowly behind Stephan, forcing himself not to think of the prisoner anymore, but to put his attention ahead. There's more of these scum, and children await to be saved. I must be alert ![]()

![]() Sense Motive: 1d20 ⇒ 18 Iliya does not like to see the man in front of him fidgeting, but he says nothing. Seeing that Henry is lost in thoughts, he approaches Slugworth and without much shilly-shally barks an order: "Strip. Now." If the man hesitates...:
Iliya slaps him hard with the back of his hand for Non-lethal damage: 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 before issuing him one final warning "No more hints. Strip!" Following Stephan's lead without even thinking too much, Iliya races to the door and pushes his hand next to the rogue's, while trying to shove with his shoulder. STR: 1d20 - 2 + 4 ⇒ (10) - 2 + 4 = 12 ![]()

![]() Fortitude: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 Pale faced, Iliya does his best not to spew the contents of his stomach. The sight of the room, the disfigured body and the wretched remains of what was once a proud captain of the guard are simply too much for him. He nodds to Nilan and tries to stand guard next to Henry, but it is rather obvious that Iliya wants to leave this room as soon as possible. ![]()

He casts a quick glance towards Stephan, but seeing that the catfolk hesitates as well, he lowers his great axe only slightly and enters inside. ![]() Feeling the healing power of Pharasma flow through him, Iliya feels relief and strength and agility returning to his tired limbs. He gives a reassuring smile to Nidal, along with a hearty pat on the back, and then mumbles that he has to relieve himself. While faking the nature's call, he quickly scoops the old necklace from the floor and winks to constantly vigilant Henry. Approaching burly ranger, he adds in low tone: Henry:
"We'll share this later among everyone. Even he will get his cut, but he does not need to know." Next he goes to retrieve his trusty great axe, and while passing the door to the north, he squints into the room. Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 "I have no qualms to follow you anywhere, I do not know about tombs. However, even in this darkness I can spy the humanoid shapes lying around that body in the northern chamber. Can't tell if these are kids or more undead monstrosities. He barely felt the skeletal arms clawing at him, although he could feel his own blood slowly trickling down his left arm and he knew that will leave scars. Scars are decoration of a real warrior With renewed vigor, Iliya continues the onslaught by letting a loud battle-cry of his own tribe, before trying to slam the skeleton in front of him: "Nake nula waun welo!"
