Crossposting from the other DesignFinder thread:

Congratulations, to the community members who made it into the Top 16!

And congratulations to everyone who entered. It is *hard* to do that, to put yourself, something you made, in front of a bunch of nitpicky judges. Even if you didn't make it, be sure to give yourself credit for that--and go forward and plan for the next thing coming.

It was an honor to read through all of your entries. Whether sheer perfection or... needing a little work... it's great to see what creative gamer minds come up with when challenged.

I believe I know the answer to this, but I figured I would clarify. The entire submission, as I would interpret it, means every part, from the name to the construction requirements, yes? As opposed to the definition of the item?

I may have missed it.

Otherwise, incredibly eager to participate. No idea how it'll go, but I suspect it will be fun regardless!

Yes, the submission is EVERYTHING in the statblock, from the name on down. The example format is located in the open call rules.

If you're asking about this regarding word count, yes it means that everything in the statblock, including costs, headers, etc. counts toward the word count limit.

That's an interesting event! I'll work my mind on an idea for sure...

Am I right to think that the item should be sent in the mail itself, and not as an attached file? (I couldn't find this in the rules...)

Hmm. Thanks for the head's up. I'll take a look at it and see if we can get it fixed. In the meantime, you can also send it in an email to designfindercontest@gmail.com -- please put the item in the body of the email, not as an attachment.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's submissions! Good luck folks.

Wheee, yay new people! As a sometime freelance editor for Paizo, I look forward to nitpicking your and your writers' statblocks!
