There are some mods that you can install for Kingmaker that make combat turn based, similar to the tabletop experience such as five foot step, double movement, highlighted circles to see how far you can move and others. Nexus Mods website has a few mods for Pathfinder Kingmaker that can allow some tweaking of the game to make it more table top like, along with increase load, sleeping less, and others. I have some of the mods install like the turn based combat and it is a different game then when I purchased. Also kudos to Owlcat games as their updates have really changed the game since its first release until now. Some of the features that have announced for WOTR are one implemented through mods in the first one like a 360 degree camera.

Cannot wait until next year for this game!

Please cancel the following pending order 8082022. I asked for my Adventure Path subscription to be cancelled on July 26th and again on August 6th, but did not hear back from either of them. Please make sure my Adventure Path subscription has been cancelled as our group is not moving to Second edition at this time.

Thanks You.

Bump as this has not yet been addressed and may have fallen off due to GenCon.

Thanks!

With the close of First Edition, I would like to cancel my Adventure Path subscription as our group is not moving to second edition at this time.

Thank You!

I currently have a pending order 7462427 and it is set to a card that is no longer active due to nefarious activity to no fault of my own. My credit card company has issued a new card number and I have updated that card within the payment section on my account. However, the pending order is still showing on my old card number, ending in 2**9. Please update my payment method to the new card ending in 1**0.
Thanks.

Thanks James for keeping us in the loop. Looking forward to the player guide as well as the players in my group. This is the next AP we are running after finishing up Hell's Vengeance.

Thank you!

I subscribed to the Adventure Path subscription back on July 13th on order number 5301202. The first issue I selected was the Return of the Runelords AP.

I have yet to receive an email for my AP subscription and it is still showing “This product is in your sidecart”. When I check the sidecart nothing is there and I item is expected to ship.

I understand that the website being down has caused numerous issues for you, but just want to make sure there is nothing that I need to do to make sure this item will ship. If there is something I need to do please let me know.

Thank you

Rob from Lone Wolf has started a QA thread on HLO and HLC. For me it does clear up some of the additional questions about HLO. Since they are supporting HLC for the foreseeable future with new Pathfinder releases I will continue to use it for Pathfinder.

As for Starfinder since our group is not yet ready to play it, since not everyone has gotten the Rule book yet I will be watching what HLO. I do like some of the features for shared content between players and GM's. If in the future I want to try HLO with Pathfinder, when it becomes available, I can still use HLC if I don't like it.

You can view the thread over at the Lone Wolf forums.

Good on PCGen for coming out with a Alpha for Starfinder. I will look at their product with equal measure when they go production on the product. I don't much care for running a ALPHA product.

After reading the FAQ, some of my concerns have been addressed about what HLO is and is not. I can see the “thing” that will eventually convert me to HLO should the product develop as they have said. On-line only access does not really bother me, as I am fortunate enough to play where Wi-Fi is available. I can see where this would be an issue for some, but sign-up for the Beta and give constructive feedback. If enough people request off-line access, it may come. While LWD have a ways to go with the product, by the time they are ready to convert Pathfinder over to HLO most of the features in HLC will be available in HLO. I also like the fact that you can still use HLC after you migrate. As with any product that is new things will change as development happens and feedback is received. Heck for all we know HLO could be a completely different product a year from now based on our feedback.

I will say their silence on the issue, was not the best thought out response. The FAQ should have been ready before the CON and dropped during the presentation. LWD did some harm to the HLO brand, but all this can be forgiven and forgotten if communication going forward with HLO is on point. Don’t play the silence game again.

I will eventually purchase HLO for Starfinder, but I do not need to purchase it yet as our group is not yet ready for it. We have a Pathfinder campaign in progress, which was just started, and several more lined up afterwards. Starfinder if played will be small one-off as we get used to the system.

I will still continue purchase data packages for Pathfinder and keep an eye on HLO.

This trickle of information is not, in my opinion, the best way to handle the situation. Lone Wolf should put out an official FAQ and then if they are confident in their product answer questions on their forum page. I do not expect them to come here, as they really cannot control the conversation flow as well as they can on their own forums. Lone Wolf needs to get out in front of this now or this is going to start turning off potential customers of their product before they can even get official information out.

As to what is being said, I am disappointed in what they are doing for both HLO and HL. I think if they were smart, the data sources for both HLO and HL would be the same on the back end and the front end would be a different interface. As someone who works in IT, I understand, the need to get adoption of a new offering is to offer something exclusively in the new format. As a customer of their product, I am disappointed that I have to have two different applications to run essentially the same product. Starfinder by Paizo has been billed that you can use Pathfinder things in Starfinder with some conversion. The way Lone Wolf is taking their product, for what little we know as this time, it is becoming more difficult for the customer to mix the two.

As I said in a previous post, I still do not see the “thing” for taking my existing Pathfinder HL and converting it to HLO when that option becomes available. So far, Starfinder is not yet the “thing” to bridge that gap. I will try to view what they offer when it becomes official, but I would have much preferred a side-by-side development model. I know this cost money, but if you are taking your product in a different direction than the current model, that is the risk and expense you have to make. Hero Lab has to make me want to buy their product, as I am a customer. However, they also have the right not to make me a customer by taking their software in a direction I do not like, just as I have the right to take my dollars to a company that will make software I want.

I have bought the Starfinder core rule book, so far what I have read is outstanding, and can use pencil and paper to play the game. I do not need HL to play Starfinder, will HL make it easier to play, yes but that is a convince factor in my opinion.

To end on a more positive note Lone Wolf up to this point, again in my opinion, has been a good steward to the Pathfinder community and their support of the current HL desktop has always been outstanding. I am more than willing to give benefit of the doubt to them on HLO, but they need get the “thing” out front and center.

I have Hero Lab and have multiple copies that I use on multiple PC’s. Our gaming group of seven all use HL as well with multiple data sets purchased in the group. We as a group are looking forward to their implementation of Starfinder and future Pathfinder products.

However, the silence on what HLO is and what it is not is deafening. I know they have announced some of the intended features, but so far, nothing is concrete, as we not even have anything more than a screen shot or two and some supposed features. I am concerned about the subscription service and in order from me to migrate, my current HL to HLO the subscription, HLO has to offer more than multiple form factors, i.e. tables, phone, etc... They need to offer more than just an application on-line.
For example, I use Office 365 Home and while that is a subscription service over the traditional office purchase it offers more than just office. It offers five TBs of storage though OneDrive, use Office on up to five PCs with five different users and I always stay on the current version of Office. That is worth the subscription price.

So far, they have not offered that extra “thing” to make me want to move from the current HL to HLO. I will be patient in waiting for a formal announcement, but my patience is not forever. Their silence can only go on for so long as others up-thread have said. Lone Wolf needs to get out in front of this sooner rather than later.

Story nicely done, but need more of it.
