There are dwarves out there
Jazz Strongblade - fighter, highest level character that my wife plays - I think 11 now
Morven - level 4 ranger played by my wife
Harsk - build according to the Paizo one - highest level played by my son
Hyjg Drogh - cleric and level 8 - played by me
I would say locally a little above 10% of characters are dwarves.
