		About Herodes Aemilius
Herodes originated in the land of Andoran. Before the rebellion his family held lands near Carpenden, and were proud defenders of Andoran. His grandfather, Lucius Aemilius, gave his life fighting against the Cheliax invaders. However, Linus, Herodes' father, was on the worng side of the rebellion, and when the peons were freed, and the criminals and slaves were unleashed, House Amelius burned along with its rich fields. Overnight Herodes' father went from being one of the most influential men in Andoran to one of the most inconsequential.
After the initial chaos of the revolution, Herodes' father, Linus, managed to secure a minimal amount of political power in the new republic. The fall from his original position was difficult for Linus to come to terms with, especially when he saw men he considered lesser than himself taking the lands that he and his forefathers had held for so long. He also considered it a great insult that the fact that his family had shed blood for Andoran was quickly forgotten while the fact that he had kept slaves was almost always brought up when his character and ability came into question.
Bitter about his new lot in life Linus raised his son to believe that the aristocracy of Old Andoran would rise from the ashes to claim their divine right and put the criminals and slaves back where they belonged. Linus instilled a sense of familial duty on Herodes, and impressed on him that his destiny would be to lead a new rebellion, one that would re-establish the natural order of things.
As preparation for this destiny, Herodes was sent to foster with his mother's cousin in Brevoy. In the house of the Sertovan noble Herodes better learned the political machinations of the aristocracy and how to observe and take advantage of the weakness in others. Years later, word reached Herodes that a political rival had his father killed for charges of extortion and tax embezzlement. This news steeled Herodes' determination to reclaim Andoran for those the gods had chosen to lead and to punish the pretenders who had conspired to murder his father.
He now heads to The Stolen Lands to form a nation and military force that will allow him to reclaim what was stolen from his family so many years before.
