Gentlemen, with changed work duties I've found that I've over-extended myself in my eagerness to GM and play PbP dungeon world. Unfortunately, the campaign that I'm running is suffering for it. I need to step back from a game and this campaign has a healthy number of players and is in no danger of closing down from lack of participation. I think this is the best game to step away from. Moosh, I've thoroughly enjoyed your GMing here and am looking forward to continuing on in your Skaven campaign. Best of luck guys. Perhaps Hegh will return if things settle down a bit for me.

Hegh approaches Sees and Smoog as Retzack works and helps to fill in their map. He taps on the map. Humans spotted us here. Oadir and I engaged while Thunk led the others in this direction in pursuit of the Deathclaw. There was a large explosion and the Deathclaw was injured. Still, I worry about them. We also heard reports that the townsfolk are in awe of a soaring white dragon ridden by a shadow demon that spread gold throughout the streets. He puffs up with obvious pride. Further aerial recon should be considered. It appears you were about to leave before we arrived. What is your plan Bloodmother?
Unholy Abomination
Hegh listens patiently to the rest of Sees and Smoog's exchange, all the while staring at Eats Bugs new arm. Their story may be more interesting than ours. When Oadir stops speaking, Hegh delivers his report. In common: Oadir and I have returned from scouting. Thunk, Krish, and Greas are in pursuit of the Deathclaw. Does Oadir speak draconic? I assume that Sees and Smoog would speak in draconic when alone.

Hegh continues to fly low until he loses immediate pursuit, then lands in an alley. Feel free to roll for me Moosh if needed. Hegh then shrinks down to normal size and leads Oadir back into the sewer through a hopefully unattended sewer grate. He gets his bearings and they race back to the original campsite. What do we find there? Trying to get this split party madness back under control with the magic of smash cuts.

If the DM would allow rags to riches:
Hegh's claws close over the strands of the net and he focuses himself. The net begins melting and coins drop to the streets below. He flaps his wings furiously to attempt to gain altitude in time to avoid crashing. Defy Danger Str: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 2) + 3 = 8 Otherwise: Teleport us out of this net, Tiefling! Hegh let's a puff of ice out, hoping that additional frost in the air might help the Tiefling's magic. Aid Oadir Teleport: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (4, 2) + 1 = 7

Alignment: Show Off. Makes this an easy choice. Bout to get a bit Anne McCaffrey round these parts. Hegh and Oadir fly low and fast. When he sees kobolds below, Hegh will shout in draconic, Tanard is arisen. Freedom is near. When he sees groups of humans he will blast ice at them and twist slightly to give Oadir an opportunity to rain down destruction. This seems more narrative so let me know what rolls, if any, are required.

Hegh regains his composure after his blood rage is satisfied. We must trust in our friends. It is time to return to our queen. On the rooftop Hegh suddenly grows much larger and his scales elongate and thicken. Hop on my back Oadir, unless you mean to walk. Using 2 ice, one to grow large enough to carry a passenger in full flight, and one for +1 armor and immunity to cold damage.

DM Mooshybooshy, "the Foolish" wrote: The human shouting for help about the kobolds goes pale and his mouth widens in horror when he sees Thunk's ecstatic expression and the corpse of the fat boy. He turns around and tries to flee down the stairs, but Thunk's too fast. The barbarian chases him until the kobold is standing at the top of the stairwell leading down, and the man is halfway down the stairs. Then, Thunk hurls the pig-boy's body down at the shouter. The man has time to say "No-!" before the corpse, which was thrown very hard, smashes into him. The two bodies collapse in a fallen heap at the bottom of the stairs.

Anywhere is better than here! Get going! Hegh unleashes another blast of ice at the hapless guards as they begin to rise. Dragon's Ice: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (2, 5) + 3 = 10 Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 2 Arcane Arts Bonus Damage: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4 Three of the guards are temporarily frozen and take 6 damage. Forgot about the AA damage buff. Hegh begins laughing maniacally at the guards.
Unholy Abomination
Hegh moves to take Thunk's central position at the top of the stairs and extends his wings for effect. Frosty wisps begin to emanate from between his fangs and he blasts ice down the stairwell, attempting to coat the stairway. Dragon's Ice: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (5, 3) + 3 = 11 The stairwell is nice and frosty.

Smoog wrote: Sorry Oadir. Smoog has no way of knowing about your missing eye and this is just how he would be using his free time to inspect his new gadget. If you are still without an eye when you return, Smoog will do everything he can to try and help you. Hegh will bring snacks.

Greas wrote: We do not need guarding against the monster! The monster is a bit too unconscious at the MINIMUM to be a threat! We don't know that. Personally I don't understand why we would split the party again. The "scout" party and the "Deathclaw" party can accomplish their goals together.

Hegh regards Oadir with an icy glare. He spits blood onto the ground, which quickly freezes, forming a dark patch of ice. I will slit all their throats for Gorlaug's memory and Tanard's glory. Will you chain every pig skin we find? Build yourself an army perhaps? If you must have a pet, there are a hundred more out there. He points towards the door exiting the circular room. Take your pick when our mission is through. We have bigger game. |
