Order advice:
Hi everyone, I've just popped in to update this thread. Hopefully you have all finally settled into the new year, I'm still deciding if I have or not! Unfortuantely, we are still waiting on the arrival of Pathfinder Adventure Path #174: Shadows of the Ancients (Strength of Thousands 6 of 6). For Starfinder Adventure Path subscribers, we’re waiting for Starfinder Adventure Path #43 : Icebound (Horizons of the Vast 4 of 6) and Starfinder Adventure Path #44: Allies Against the Eye (Horizons of the Vast 5 of 6). As Raychael put it so perfectly, they are still in shipping crate Tetris limbo. While they will not be here in time for February's release, we are hoping (fingers crossed) for March. Once we have finalized everything for March we will open a new thread. Have a great day!
I am locking this thread. There is nothing to be gained by bickering over this. When the publisher says they should have thought about the impact of the product, and offers up an apology for it, you might want to reflect on that a bit more before jumping on here defending something that was delisted with good reason.

Order advice:
I'm locking this thread, and will continue to lock threads like this. Also, here is a reminder from one of our most beloved members of the community...
Unfortunately, as your order is not even a week late (during a holiday week no less) we will not be shipping out a replacement just yet. If your order hasn't arrived by the 7th we can replace it for you via standard post at that time. If you wish to upgrade the shipping on the replacement to UPS Ground, it will be at your expense. You currently have your subscriptions set to the cheapest shipping method possible, but you may change your future subscriptions to ship via a different method, as there are currently 6 different methods available to you.
This thread is staying locked for the usual baiting, trolling, name calling, and quoting. Please remember to take a moment before posting, whether it be starting a thread, or commenting on one. If what you are saying is not something you would like being said to you, you probably shouldn't hit the submit post button.
Hi everyone. A special thank you to James for locking this thread before it got worse than it already was. I have torched most of this thread due to baiting, troll feeding, and quoted content. It saddens me to come back from a long weekend meant to celebrate peace on earth, goodwill to all, only to see a post like this, as well as several others that I need to sift through. The song "I Believe in Father Christmas" by Greg Lake comes to mind. Let's really get to the heart of the matter here. People continue to post about slavery, or questionable content if you prefer, and it just isn't something that ever results in civil discussion. Really though, there is nothing to discuss at that point. Paizo has decided this is not what they want to write about, as we wish to support a positive gaming environment, where everyone feels welcome. That's it. End of discussion. This thread will remain locked.
I'm just going to keep this one locked as it really just spiraled into a lot of nonsense. Just a reminder, you do not have to take the bait from a troll. It's exhausting for CS to read through and moderate, I can't imagine how exhausting it must be to go back and forth with someone that is clearly enjoying getting people riled up. Feel free to start a new thread on mushrooms though, and not the sussy kind, thanks!
I have removed a lot of posts and quoted content. I know I repeatedly ask for you to just flag and move on so please, do that. There is a tremendous amount of work that needs to be done now, sifting through all the forum posts over the holiday weekend because of all the back and forth. Re: this thread topic, please contact Tonya directly via email, as I am closing this thread.
Well, THAT wasn't exhausting to sift through at all. My apologies for torching most of this thread, and in the process some very good comments that quoted things that had to go. I admire those of you standing up for yourselves. Kobold Catgirl said it was like arguing with a slinky. Yes. Yes it is, and right before the holidays too. I will be locking this thread so that we don't come back next week to find extra work that we don't need. Hopefully it will make for a peaceful long weekend, for some of us anyway. I'm not sure why some people get so much enjoyment out of upsetting others. It's not all that difficult to be nice, or to just be quiet, but I also know that some people thrive on drama and feed of the reactions they get for attention. It must be so terrible to need attention that badly. "Blessed is the season which engages the whole world in a conspiracy of love." - Hamilton Wright Mabie Be excellent to each other my friends.
Hello friends! I would like to let you all know, that there HAVE been permanent suspensions made. I have just now moderated and removed another problem user. I know it doesn't seem like people are being banned from the forums, but they are. It does seem that for every person we remove, another one pipes up. We are doing our best to get things taken care of in a timely manner, and your emails are helping with that as we cannot keep a constant watch with the other tasks we have.
Hi everyone! I have removed some not so nice comments and others that quote them. I would like to point out that not everyone's journey with disabilities or chronic illness is the same. Some people are able to make the most of bad situations far better than others. I chose to not participate in this blog because I do not see my chronic, incurable disease as something to be celebrated. At best it has been an inconvenience, and at its worst it has been crippling. However, as has been stated in the comments, I do agree that there should be more awareness around the fact that there are many people suffering, not just from what we can see, but from things we cannot. Saying that, it brings me to what I always seem to be posting here, be kind. None of us knows what any of us may be suffering from. That is certainly one of the many things living with my illness has taught me. At one point I was on several medications that were making me horribly ill while trying to get my symptoms under control. I was a hot mess of bad attitude on one particular day where I was angry at the universe for making me sick, angry at the doctors for poisoning me, and just fed up and bad-tempered in general. Lying in bed that night thinking about my day, I realized how horrible I had been to several people I had encountered. Normally I am quite a nice person and go out of my way to be pleasant out of fear of offending people, but that day I was a downright despicable human. In that moment it hit me that WOW, you really DON'T know what people are going through, and being kind to the people you may feel like punching in the face, may actually make a real difference to them. Not all of them, some of them probably still could do with a swift kick, but on the surface? You never know. It saddens me to see all the anger directed at someone admitting they may not be too different from those in the original blog. Just like when we lose someone we love, when we become chronically ill or disabled, we go through stages of grief. Some of those stages we sit in longer than others, or skip, or repeat, or get stuck in. I know denial was one I sat in for a long time, before becoming quite angry and bitter about the whole thing. None of us experience our journeys in the same way, and since we have all lived different lives, and are wonderfully diverse people, we shouldn't expect others to feel as we do. For those of you struggling, I see you. I understand you. My heart goes out to you. There is nothing as terrible as a "healthy" person telling you what you should do to be well, so I get that. While I accept my illness, and am grateful for everything it has taught me about myself, I will never be celebrating it. It is as much a part of me as my gray hairs, and I don't celebrate those either. I commend my co-workers for speaking up about their disabilities so I raise my glass to them. For those of you not in a place of acceptance, I acknowledge that too. Learning how to play the hands we are dealt comes far more easily to some than others, so just know that you are not alone. Thank you for listening. Be excellent to each other.

I have had to pop in and remove some comments and quoted content. A reminder that the original post does not break any forum rules. If you feel you cannot positively contribute to the conversation, or keep from becoming argumentative and disrespectful, as Tonya previously stated, you do not have to participate in the conversation.
Hi everyone! I've had to remove a large chunk of this thread due to a lot of bickering and insults going back and forth. I would again like to remind people that if you are going to quote something that needs to be removed, your post will end up getting removed as well. I would also like to point out, once again, it's really not ok to continue to bicker with each other on our forums. That is not the environment we strive for here, and it certainly doesn't make our community seem all that friendly to newcomers. We want this to be a welcoming community where people enjoy participating in discussions, not one where people remain silent out of fear of being verbally assaulted. Please choose your words wisely, and post with kindness. If you have nothing nice to say, it's okay to not say anything. Be excellent to each other.
I have removed a whole bunch of posts and the posts relating to that conversation to avoid confusion. There appears to be a small number of folks who are having difficulty understanding our stance. I highly recommend reading through the entire thread’s comments, particularly our moderation comments, which should clarify things. Once again we are stating that trans rights are human rights. There is no nuance or discussion to be had regarding that, which is what this blog is about.

Looking for a few new Pathfinder players to bolster the player base for up coming APs. Good core group of people usually run one to two games a week with four players in each campaign. Will likely run a few small adventures to get new people acclimated to the group dynamics. Please post interest here and I will PM with more details.
A few friends of mine and I got together and played part one of Crypt of The Everflame adventure module using some of the advanced classes. I GMed and four of my friends were the PCs. We had: Hunter - Human
The Hunter - Everyone agreed that at least for first level it felt like the hunter was just a ranger with some spells, less attack bonus and an animal companion. Since there was no dedicated healer in the party he did most of the healing during and out of combat. He said that the class felt fun but nothing fantastic of obviously faulty with it. The Arcanist - Everyone agreed that the class felt a little overpowered, and made the standard wizard feel some what lacking in comparison. The ability to spontaneously cast spells from a prepared list in any combination throughout the day + having acess to a spell book and being able to effectively add any number of spells to that list over the course of a campaign seemed like too much. We were not sure how to change this but that was the general consensus. Also he picked the bloodline that allowed him access to the bonded item ability so he used his blood points to cast extra spells during the game effectively adding more than 3 spell uses to his total spells per day. We were unsure if we misread or used this ability incorrectly during play but if it was correct then there needs to be a change or rule that he can only use that ability once per day. The Investigator - The player really enjoyed the class and felt very versatile in the non-combat situations and in figuring out a few of the secrets the game presented and allowed the players to discover. In combat he felt some what useless but that may not have been a fall back of the class and purely his choices as a player to have low strength and no ranged weapons. Otherwise at low levels he said it played much like a rogue without the first level of sneak attack. Blood Rager - We all agreed that the class played just like a normal barbarian and that there was really no difference to the class other than a smaller hit dice. Perhaps it will start to feel different as we level up but right now it just feels like a barbarian without rage powers. Nothing special or bad about it. Conclusion: At low levels many of these classes felt like one or the other of their two class combinations. That fact had both good and bad implications to the game. The good was that all party roles were filled and no one felt useless the bad was that they all felt like there was nothing special about the classes, other than the Arcanist who stated that he felt like he was just a better low level wizard than a normal wizard was. I hope to post more about our thoughts and experience as we play more with these classes over the course of the next few weeks. Our next session if to finish Crypt of the Everflame and then level the character to 8th and play another adventure module for that level after which we will jump to 12th then 20th to get a feel of each of the classes at various power levels. Thanks and have a great day. -GMwolf |
