We're on holiday hiatus until at least December 4th. Every weekend between now and then has someone traveling or a work related thing to take care of. How about everyone else? Got anything going on this weekend?

Only a somewhat full weekend. Our old nanny is coming by at some point to take the kids for ice cream. Maybe I'll grab a nap, then.

Finally getting another scenario in on Sunday to get closer to Eyes. In the meantime, Santorini has been started, with Cyz and I at 1-1. Looking forward to trying out more of the God Powers.

Snow this weekend, which means I'll be out in it.

We are hiring if anyone wants a job! If you get sent with me all you have to do is act casual and wave all friendly like and I'll do most of the work.

What's the job and what's the pay?
:)

Blowing snow and 18-25 an hour.

I think I have a link to our Facebook page on my profile it should have something about it on there.

My route is primarily in Fitchburg, Wi.

Unfortunately I'm in the wrong state. It was tempting though. I love snow and haven't seen enough of it in years.

Well if you ever want a working vacation or something let me know, the offer is always open! Looks like we won't get enough snow for us to mobilize at least for tonight.

Canceled anime night tomorrow, taking it easy with all of the visitors coming in for Thanksgiving over the next couple weeks. Probably do some low energy boardgames in place of that so we don't get overwhelmed.

Whatcha doin' this weekend? I have some much needed housework to do and I'm working on a few ideas for the next installment in the current campaign arc in my game. I intend to write down a bunch of stuff then stare at it until it no longer makes sense, which is pretty much how most of my adventure writing takes place.

Going camping on Sunday! We'll be back on Tuesday. Then my sister is picking up the kids to stay at her place Tuesday night, and we'll pick them up when we go over to her place for Thanksgiving.

So, prepping for camping, camping, and then prepping to contribute to Thanksgiving dinner, while enjoying some time away from the kids.

Genius.

I've finished 3 jobs in the last nine days so I'm going to chill.

The world can carry on without me because I'm going to kill people on my PlayStation.

Any post Eat Until You're Ashamed of Yourself, Oh Hey Look! Pie! Day gaming? We're still on hiatus until next Saturday here at Sweet Home Calabama.

I think Sunday will be some boardgames while the family is still in town. Beyond that, not a lot planned. Trying to get over this cold that hit us the day before.

We went camping Sunday through Tuesday, which was a lot of fun, but it left me pretty tired. Fortunately, my kids stayed at my sister's Wednesday and Thursday, so it was nice to have a day and a half of a quiet house before we picked them up when we joined them for Thanksgiving Dinner. (Yes, I ate too much.)

It's been a busy week, so I want a quiet weekend to relax.

Well, shoot. Two of my players (father and daughter) have zero free weekends the entire month of December. We were supposed to play this coming Saturday. I can run games with smaller numbers of players but this particular adventure won't work with less than five players and I've been sick from a side effect of a new med I'm on every.single.day this week and just not able to concentrate on cobbling together a smaller-party game. Plus, losing my half-sister has been heavy on my mind, too.

I've asked the group if we can hold off until next Saturday, the 11th, so I can put a session together for them.

Dang it.

Dang. Hope you feel better... condolences... good luck... basically all the commiserations.

Thanks! I took myself off that medication effective last night. I'd only been taking it since Sunday so a cold turkey cessation won't really be problem. I left a voice mail at the doc's office to let them know what and why but haven't heard back.

Counting that one, I take 14 different meds for various things. I went through the lists of side effects for each one the other day, and more than half of them could be the reason for one of my health issues, four for another, and four for a third. I have five prescribing entities. I gotta have a talk with some folks, I think.

So, take some advice from your friendly DMCal - take better care of yourselves than I have. This stinks.

I just did a push-up thanks to your advice!

We'll start making Christmas cookies tomorrow. Probably starting off with Santa's whiskers, gingerbread and possibly some Bailey's balls (not technically cookies but they are for x-mas).

Yum! I love Bailey's. I went from being drunk almost daily in my 20s to maybe have one beer a year now, but if someone leaves a bottle of Bailey's lying around, I will deny ever having seen it while hoarding it to drink later in one sitting...lol

Putting up Christmas lights this weekend! I have one more present to shop for, and I need to get on that.

The neighbors are hosting a block party, which is always fun.

I'm getting my booster shot on Sunday, so we'll see how Monday goes.

Another scenario lined up on the road to Eyes of the Ten. Beyond that, I think we have a quiet Monday.

I need to get my booster. I had no problems from the first two injections aside from a headache but I've heard from friends who said the booster made them feel awful for a couple of days. I just need to pick two or three days where I don't have to go anywhere or do anything to get the booster just in case it hits me like that.

Like the first shots it seems to be pretty variable.

I just had a sore arm for a few days.

The first shot didn't affect me. For the second, I was just tired and took an extra nap. I'm hoping it won't be any worse than that.

My gameless weekend ended on a fun note. My migraine dissipated and a friend called with a spare ticket to see Scott Bradley's Post Modern Jukebox at one of the colleges here in town tonight.

Nice! I've watched quite a few of their videos on YouTube, but I haven't seen anything from them recently. (The "nice" also applied to your headache lessening.)

Turns out when the party doesn't have adamantine weapons, golems take a lot longer to fight. Second half of the scenario scheduled for the 19th. This coming weekend we might have Rise of the Runelords, which would be nice given how close we are to finishing the campaign. Other than that, work work work all day long.

Correction: The party has one (1) adamantine weapon.

But the weapon is Small-sized longsword and the character using it doesn't have a strength bonus.

At least they were able to provide an effective flank after getting mowed on a crit by the static defenses.

Looking forwards to the 19th.

Of course comrade, my mistake.

Also looking forward to the 19th as we might go see No Way Home, depending on show times.
