Deleted Scene
"I dunno Dee... I don't want to be alone tonight either, but I've got kind of a rule about not having beautiful girls spend the night before we've even kissed..." Hayden's mock-serious expression melts away into a cheeky grin as she tilted Deirdre's chin up towards her own. She held her there for the span of a heartbeat, eyes sparkling in amusement as she drank in the girl's beauty. Then she leaned in for a long, deep kiss, quickly followed by shorter, hungry ones. "mmm... You are so **mwah** damned **mwah** gorgeous!"

She broke away with an effort, breathing a little heavily, one hand practically glued to the small of Deirdre's back, eyes shining til they looked almost reflective in the hall's lights. With one hand still guiding Deidre forward, she opened her door."Well? Get in there. But fair warning, our deal earlier still stands. I've got handcuffs in there somewhere if you can't keep your hands to yourself."

Deirdre's world explodes into bliss as Hayden's lips find hers. She melts into the kiss, responding with a fierce passion and a hungry need. She pants along with Hayden when she finally breaks away, a haze of lust obscuring her sight.

She staggers into Hayden's room, sitting heavily on the bed. He heart beats quickly in her chest as she looks up at Hayden. "I'll be a good girl. I'll be whatever you want me to be..."

"I'll be whatever you want me to be"

One of the Three Promises had been spoken. If I told her about the Ram-Horned King right now, told her he might come to take me, she'd give me the second Promise. I know it; graven on my bones, etched deep as an oath I know it.

Hayden walked into the room, closing the door behind her.

Part of her wanted to get the other Promise. There was no knowing exactly when she'd need to have all three sworn and wrapped 'round someone so tight there'd be no squirming or 'scaping their oathsworn duty.

Slowly, deliberately, Hayden uncovered her thrice-old mirror, all glinting glass and carnivorously carnal carvings. "I don't think that's true, Dee. There was a good girl here earlier tonight, who didn't peek when she promised not to." She gestured to Deirdre's reflection. "This girl looks like she'd peek, doesn't she."

Part of her wanted to use it up, cancel the debt, resheathe the blade that Deirdre was clutching unaware. She doesn't deserve this, but the sheep doesn't deserve the wolf either.

She didn't know what to do. As she started to unbutton her new jeans, some angel on her shoulder used her voice to ask, "Why aren't you running away, Dee? You've got to know I'll end up hurting you."

Deirdre smiles at her reflection, watching Hayden only obliquely through the mirror. Her eyes dance with mischief. "Maybe the good girl was the disguise. Maybe this is the real me."

She leans back on the bed, resting on her shoulders. "I've played it safe my whole life. I'll take a risk with you. A little pain could lead to a world of pleasure."

Something clicked. Some shift of obligation and plans sliding out of the way of heat and need. Hayden needed this. She needed to be rampant, to be wild. She needed to make Deirdre hers.

Her new jeans were already gaping open, the teeth of her zipper parted to show a tuft of blonde curls poking out above the low-slung waistband of her borrowed briefs. Hayden stalked forward ”Just keep watching her then Dee. Keep looking in the eyes of that girl in the mirror. Her future's in there, if you know what to look for. Pink flames and blue crackles and zags, all the colors that will flash through you if you're good.” Hayden's hand re-entered the mirror's view, gently tugging a strap of Deirdre's dress over the curve of her shoulder. ”But not too good.”

Deirdre's hands trembled as she reached up towards the other strap. ”Not yet Dee. Just keep watching her. Keep thinking about what's going to happen to her tonight. Think about what she's afraid to ask for, what makes her tremble with the weight of what might change.
Lean closer, Dee. Let her fill your vision. Closer Dee. Crawl to the foot of the bed if you have to. Good girl. Now, you can peek in the reflection, you can be bad if you want, but you can't turn away. You don't even want to turn away, do you Dee?
Look in her eyes. Look in her big beautiful eyes. Her pupils are wide aren't they? Wide and open because she's ready; she wants everything to happen to her. She's a bad girl Dee. Is that what you want to be?”

”Yes...”

Hayden's hand snaked up beneath the hem of Deirdre's dress, slowly lowering the soft lace garment she found there down to where Deirdre's knees rested on the sheets. Deirdre began to lift her leg to help Hayden undress her, but a stinging swat made her freeze in place and gasp in surprise. ”Stay right there Dee. Even bad girls have to wait sometimes.”

Deirdre was too close to the mirror to see Hayden clearly in its reflection, but she could hear the clothes falling to the floor, catch the flickers of color as they fluttered in the looking glass. Incomplete flashes of nothing but tawny skin brushed with fine, light hair drew closer and closer until Hayden's face bent into the frame, just behind Deirdre's ear, close enough that her lips brushed against her with every whispered word.

”We don't have time to go through a long list of wills and won'ts right now, do we?”

Her eyes slightly glazed, Deirdre nodded, paused, then shook her head. Her lips parted to give an answer, but a single finger against her lips left her silent, gently swaying as she tried to stay how Hayden had placed her. ”Don't worry Dee. I understand. Bad girls have a hard time thinking about rules, especially when they're watching another one, another bad girl who's about to get everything she deserves. But before she does, I'm going to teach you a spell. Tonight no matter what happens to you, no matter who hurts you, if you say 'I'm Hayden,' then poof! You're in charge, and whatever was happening stops. But if there's something you shouldn't want more of, something only a person like that girl in the mirror would want more of, you don't have to tell me and be embarrassed. Just say her name, or moan it or groan it. You do know her name, right Dee?”

Deirdre nodded obediently, lips clamped shut.

Hayden grabbed her wrist tightly, letting Deirdre prepare her balance for a moment before lifting her hand from where Deirdre'd been tightly crumpling the sheets and putting it flat against Hayden's stomach.

Deirdre's vision was filled with hungry lips and heavy-lidded eyes nearly frantic as they looked back at her. It was like the girl in the mirror saw her too, she knew what was coming, and she wanted it. Oh she wanted it.

Hayden trailed Deirdre's hand lower, curls of hair tickling at that borrowed palm until Deirdre's hand came to rest on something hard and hot and all hers. A shock ran through the girl in the mirror, but Deirdre tore her eyes away to stare at Hayden, standing ready and rampant. Her lips parted in surprise, but a whispered ”Deirdre,” was all she needed to say.
