Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Havak could help with the rope if that's what we decide.

For now, he will look beyond the hole to see what's what.

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Havak will try to aid whichever of the two is closest to him.

aid another: 1d20 ⇒ 6 not sure what modifies this (dex +4?), so its a bare roll until you tell me otherwise.

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Havak steps back so nothing collapses on him.

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

ooh yeah darkvision! woop woop!

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

Havak will move forward looking for traps.

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Havak isnt going too far ahead. only far enough to have space for everyone to regroup after that first trap, and to make sure that area is safe.

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

"Some goblins. Can one of you tell Havak if any goblins survived this trap and moved forward?" Havak asks. He holds the dagger up and tries to use it somewhat like a divining rod and attempts to infer its intended direction.

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Havak will go ahead a bit himself, searching for secondary traps put in to place to thwart those thinking themselves safe after avoiding the first trap.

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Havak will attempt to do so and carefully monitor the rigging for signs of impending failure.

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

"blade trap. button-activated timed bypass. Havak can push button to let us by, or Havak can go first and another can hold button."

Havak will hold the button down and see if the eye stays closed longer than 10 seconds.

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Havak will try to drop something relatively valueless in from of the open eye to see if it zaps it or something.

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

"Havak can try to disable first"

with that, he will attempt to climb down to it and disable

climb: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16
disable: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Havak will look again, once his eyes adjust to the dancing lights.

perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

what type of bodies are they? human?

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Havak will take a peek back down there after covering his mouth and nose, to see if he can see what happened with his darkvision.

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Backing away quickly at first for some fresh air, Havak says, "Bodies... decayed bodies"

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Havak opens the trapdoor.

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Havak will check for any sort of resonance or vibrations from the dagger, and then check out the door. Havak sets about his work industriously.

perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 on the door to find traps (although i do not have trapfinding like a rogue so no magical traps)
disable device: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24 if needed

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

"There is strength in numbers. Havak would like to go with people. Best not to split up anyway. Goblins don't like fair fights."

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

"Havak suggests we seek the treasure. Find out what it is. If we cannot take it, collapse the structure it is housed in. Learning of it may show why goblins may want, and give us knowledge for when and if we face goblins." Havak pauses for a second before continuing, "Johnas may not have been Havak's family, may not have always been friendly, but still something like family to Havak. Also was a mystery. Havak wants to know what treasure is, but we must also accept that maybe treasure is not sought by goblins, or isn't there, or means nothing in grand scheme of things."

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

"Havak has map to treasure. Might be what goblins were looking for. Whatever treasure is, Havak is sure goblins shouldn't have it if they want it specifically."

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

gm:

what penalties, if any, would Havak take for wearing it? would it be better AC than his studded leather?

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

gm:

while the others search for food, Havak will try on the armor from johnas and see if it resonates with the dagger at all or if it is magical in some way (resizing to fit Havak, etc)

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Havak will sleep, crossbow in one hand, new dagger in the other. He will stand watch if woken for such, but he imagines there are others who are going to have plenty of trouble sleeping.

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

"Havak thinks it might be his old tribe, but not sure. Could be another group moved in too."

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

gm:
did johnas ever mention running afoul of some goblins or being involved with some of them in some other way? also, would i, upon examining these tracks, recognize telltale signs of my former tribe?

"Havak thinks he can follow the map. Will show to someone who is better with maps too. Havak has worked with traps before too. Plus knife might be magic."

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

On his turn, Havak says, "Havak have found a few items belonging to ol' Johnas that lead me to believe there is a trapped treasure cache around here. Stuff he had stashed away from his younger days. Perhaps the goblins are after it? Or perhaps it is unrelated."

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

when all are gathered (perhaps all but Elarya, depending on how much effort the girls put into finding her), Havak asks, "So, what have we found out? Havak found some things, but they are likely not related to the attack."

gm:

ok, so interesting items Havak has in addition to his basic gear should be as follows (correct me if i am wrong):

dagger with blue gem (likely magical)
parchments/journals
map to secret passage in the hill
Jerem's amulet (also perhaps magical)

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Havak would once again cast his eyes through the documents he got from Johnas' cache

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Havak looks specifically for the knife and stuff that Johnas had secreted (that Havak found and put back while Johnas was drunk). Once he gets his kit of course.

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

"Whatever happened, Havak thinks town holds answers." he says, beginning to walk his way over to the town.

"Havak must find Havak's kit and Johnas's belongings, if they are still there," he thinks.

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Hearing the young girl talking cuts short Havak's snoring as he wakes up. He is surprised to feel patchy bristles on his face. i am not even sure goblins can grow beards haha

Havak casts his gaze around, looking for remains of the fallen from battle, looking at the town, and thinking of the dagger he left with Johnas as well as his alchemical equipment.

"Havak can walk."

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

done

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

if so, ALCHEMIST FIRE on the two creatures that i bombed last time.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
1d6 + 4 + 1d4 ⇒ (1) + 4 + (4) = 9 fire, Splash Damage 5 fire, DC 14 REF halves

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

does he have an action left?

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Havak chooses the red arm

ref save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 +2 to avoid unexpected falls

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

crit confirm: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
extra damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

know arcana: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 to see which he would think would be the better idea

Havak throws a bomb at the two meleeing (if he can do so without hitting a town member)

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 splash damage 5, ref dc 14 halves

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

"before Havak chooses, what is the difference?"

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Havak slips underground and moves towards the tree that now has a girl hanging on to each side of it. When he gets close to the tree he surfaces and asks "What are you two doing here?"

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

I'm not sure havak even knows what's going on with that tree.

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

stiiiiilllll heeereee

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Havak takes a 5ft step away from his attacker and throws a bomb at its chest.

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

BUMP

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

At this point Havak will throw an alchemist fire at Jerem when the area adjacent to him is clear (which i beleive it was since Amara stepped back, but without a map i cant be certain)

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 ranged touch
1d6 + 4 + 1d4 ⇒ (4) + 4 + (4) = 12 DC 14 Ref halves

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

did Jerem feel the fire of Havak's bomb?

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

NICE! solid hits, both of you.

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

Havak surfaces 30ft back from Jerem and chucks a firebomb at him before he can get close enough to catch Amara in the blast.

throw: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 ranged touch

damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 fire damage

Male RETIRED Blue Goblin Chirurgeon 2

yeah the spiritual weapon can 1-shot Havak and he is also the only one near Jerem with the rest of the group waaaaaay over there

Hello!

I just recently got the Vampire the Masquerade v5 books and am interested in joining a game so I can get some experience with these rules. Please let me know if you have such a game and space for another.

4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 6, 4) = 17 = 11
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 3, 5) = 20 = 4
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 6, 2) = 15 = 12
4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 2, 5) = 10 = 12
4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 2, 6) = 15 = 9
4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 3, 1) = 12 = 16
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 4, 3) = 17 = 3

I am looking for an in-person game, two games per month is about perfect for me.

Strong preference towards longer games, and strong preference towards weekend games (Friday night - Sunday Afternoon) as I work early Mon-Fri.

Willing to travel as north as Mira Mesa, as east as La Mesa, as south as Chula Vista, as west as the ocean (or farther if you have a boat, haha)

As for what games, I am open to the following, or perhaps similar to the following:

PF
DnD 3.0
DnD 3.5
DnD 5e
Shadowrun 5e
Eclipse Phase
Numenera
White Wolf games

Hello, all. I am looking for an epic game (or reasonably high level, like 15+) to play in.

However, even if you don't have space for another player, I would like to read some epic campaigns if there are any out there on the boards currently.

Thank you for reading this.
