Technically, the proper term in real-world taxonomy is "feloid" (for cats and their closest relatives) or "felid" (for true cats specifically), as opposed to "felinoid" (which refers to catlike aliens in sci-fi).
This isn't me trying to correct usage here, to be clear; "felinoid" is totally correct here. I just wanted to point out the fun fact that "felinoid" is a term that's unique to science-fiction.
