About Gwerrmet

Gwerrmet (Crossblooded sorcerer: White Draconic and Primal Water bloodlines)
Gwerrmet is an unlikely sorcerer from Northern Taldor. A half-elf with both draconic blood and strong arcane talents for water and cold.

Early Life of Gwerrmet:
Gwerrmet is a remarkable young half-elf sorcerer with an unremarkable upbringing in the Northern Taldan trade city of Yanmass. Gwerrmet and his younger human stepsister, Xana, were raised in mundane fashion by his half-elf mother, Ingvaldís, his human stepfather, Stralo. The family lived ordinary lives in a modest mercantile household in Stralo and Xana's native Yanmass.

Ingvaldís was originally from Varisia. She moved to Yanmass soon after Gwerrmet was born. Soon after Stralo had been widowed. Ingvaldís and Stralo had met some years earlier. In the trade post of Holvirgang in Irrisen. Back then they were both adventurers with different arcane talents of their own. They were surprised, and pleased, to find each other in the same city and were soon married. It was a happy household, and moderately prosperous.

Soon after Gwerrmet and Xana had both come of age, an ordeal triggered the awakening of their own arcane abilities. Some slavers snuck into Yanmass and tried abducting Gwerrmet, Xana, and some of their friends. Xana proved to be much tougher than she looked. And she suddenly started to sing. Filling her friends with greater strength and vigour. Gwerrmet also had a surprise. Rays erupted from his hands, nearly killing two of the slavers with frost bite. In the height of summer, no less.

The slavers lost heart and fled. They were soon forced back home. After paying a substantial fine, with some applications of the lash for good measure.

After that, Gwerrmet and Xana soon learnt that their parents had come by their own arcane abilities through many trials of their own in Irrisen. They had hoped Gwerrmet and Xana were untouched by the arcane experiences of their parents, but clearly that was not to be. Rather than fight destiny, Ingvaldís and Stralo helped hone the skills of Gwerrmet and Xana as best they could.

Gwerrmet, being more headstrong and impulsive than his sister, is the first of the two to go out in the world to make his mark. He has a predilection for both cold and all things draconic. This might have found their way into Gwerrmet from the arcane experiences of his mother. He does not know what to expect as an adventurer. But he hopes he can live up to the standards of his parents. And maybe even join his sister in the future as well.

Personality:
Gwerrmet is not physically imposing. But he is more intelligent headstrong than most. He is usually gregarious. But quite unpleasant if angered.

Motivation:
Gwerrmet wants to make his mark on the world. Mostly by living up to the standards of both his mother and stepfather
