Hey - I am finalizing my character and it would make a lot of sense for me to take a level of fighter at first and then switch to cleric

Core concept of the character is that the god gorum is calling him rather than any real "training"... As he will be a battle cleric - I want to be able to take power attack and or weapon focus but you need a +1 BA bonus to take them-

So - do I have to spend all my feats when I get them or can I wait till 2nd level (this is if I play a cleric at first level)

Or

Should I take a level in fighter then switch to cleric ( his preferred class will still be cleric))

Or

Do you have any other thoughts on this ?

I need to do back ground info on the character for me and evy needs her BG done.

Have you ever heard of Central Casting.

It is a really fun background generator

When you use it the GM has to weed out the "Bonus'" and such but it really helps flesh out the character -

If its ok I'd like to use it for my characters...

Ill provide a copy to the gm- it been out of Print since 1992

How familiar are you with Maptools?

I would be willing to set up the maps for you and make up some tokens for you

It will help run the game smoother for you as a GM - also

If this is your first crack at being a DM - It might help to do a Adventure path

A ranger is always a good addition to any party, and not to complex a class for a 1st timer. And it looks like we could use a cleric as well.

I agree with everything Broven said about the PF system. I also think it is awesome that you are introducing your daughter to the game! But I think his questions our valid.

Nope Mature content is ok - My daughter is an avid reader and has been reading adult Fiction for years

She is not new to gaming either

she has played 3.5... Lejendary adventures Hackmaster Basic.... Castles and Crusades etc...

She has a high IQ and is mature for her age and read books I would not have wanted her too had I known - Game of Thrones- Wizards first rule- the Anita Blake books

So we are good on that route

The first adventure is a premade one. but after that you will enter a world of my own design. The world of Terradias. I'm not sure what else to say with out giving to much away. I'm new at GMing so please bear with me as it may be a little rough to start. that's why I'm wanting to do a premade adventure first that will have plot hooks that you allow you to explore the outside world. I will be borrowing some ideas from some of my favorite games. some will be more recognizable than others. I'm cerently working on the map and a rough plot out line. I don't want to get to far ahead as your actions or inactions will shape the world around you. so reply if your interested.

ok I need to know if I can design my own world setting using Pathfinder rules - ie - the way they present the Character classes, frat progression etc.

I want to produce Adventures set in my own World Setting using the Pathfinder Core Rules

Is there any stipulation that an adventure using Pathfinder rules has to be set in thier setting

Need a little Clairifacation on using Pathfinder rules to publish in non Pathfinder World Setting

I enjoy the Pathfinder take on the 3.5 rules and would like to use its rules (Classes etc) as the core for my world Setting. I plan on doing several adventures (Having a minium of 2 already in the works)

Can anyone offer a bit of clairity on this?
