Grrr... I hate when dwarf is right. Grog grumbles softly to himself for a moment before he replies. Grog accepts new challenge. Will do what others cannot. Protect Kassen's lost people is mission now. All will see greatness when we return... Let's go find others and finish here. Follow. Grog exits the room. Once the others follow him, he'll move to the next door. Taking 10 on perception as I go.

Hmm... Not what I wanted to happen. Grog pulls the lever again, returning it to its original (preferably unlocked) position. He then whispers back over to Nat. Others are close. Pit traps everywhere. Need to find another way 'round. Gotta be a right way. Follow Grog. Grog moves to the south, plotting a new course. Taking 10 on stealth and perception again. 12/16 respectively.

Grog lowers his blade and clasps Nat on the shoulder roughly with his hand. Good! Maybe more over where the noises come from. He heads off into the darkness... Same as before taking 10 on stealth and perception as I move at half speed toward the wailing sounds. Stealth = 12. Perception = 16.

So much for goin in quiet... Grog rushes forward past Ngonunho and shouts as he swings his large broadsword down upon the bones at his feet. Get out of way! Bones are moving! Attack Defensively Red Dot: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (18) - 2 = 16 Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 1) + 4 = 10 Move Action - move 30ft north. Standard Action - Attack Defensively Red Dot. AC 17 until next round.

Mudslide location. If anyone wants to heal Grog that's up to you. He'll probably be fine without it. Ouch! Stupid tree... You heavier than you look, elf. Grog stands up and brushes himself off like nothing happened while he waits for the others to gather before continuing on. Flame Arch location. Grog sniffs around and grunts a bit. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 Looks like something don't like horse. Doors inside. We not the only ones here neither. Careful. Grog draws his large broadsword and points at the open wooden door inside the archway.

Seems Grog have to do everything... Maybe even put stones on this dwarf someday. Grog grunts loudly and begins piling stones onto the dead body. Hmph! Grog doesn't want to carry dead bodies back to Kassen either. Strength check to pile rocks faster than weaklings. Strength: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

Grog growls and bares his sharp teeth, raising his sword high for just a moment as if to deliver a killing blow... He then lets out a bellowing belly laugh. HA! Ahahahahh! You a funny dwarf. Almost as funny as Braggar! Gnome funny too! HA Ha HA! You keep your wolf friend. Grog finish up here and go back to sleep. He sheaths the massive broadsword and pulls his smaller blade out to begin skinning and butchering the wolf carcass near the firepit. Once finished, he'll settle back in to sleep before his watch starts.

Grog kills the wolf at his feet with his sword before he drags its carcass near the fire. He then walks toward the unconscious wolf, his massive sword hovers over it still dripping with warm blood. He looks to the group. Never understand small ones. You think wolf here kills for glory? Can't eat glory. Grog is like wolf, he kills to survive. Should kill this wolf before it wakes up and tries to kill us again... Why you want to save it?

Grog roars in pain as he slides to the west and draws out his broadsword. He swings mightily with both hands at the wolf that bit him. GROOARR!!! I'll give em somethin' to eat! Free action - 5' step. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 Grogs rolls over in the dirt and pops to his feet quickly to survey the scene. Move Action - Stand up. Upon viewing the animal Thurim screamed about he lets out a set of growls and howls to try an scare it away. RAWRRG! GRAAAAWR!!! Standard Action - Intimidate to demoralize vs wolf.

Grog returns after a short time from his hunt and settles into camp by making a nice fire with the wood Ignatius collected. He distributes his spoils to the group evenly and cooks the game meat to the best of his ability. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 You eat rabbits, nuts and berries. Very tasty. Sorry no taters. Grog eats tree raptors (squirrels). Though not all the fur came off the squirrel meat before consumption, Grog belches loudly after completing his meal and slurps large amounts of water down from his skin before sprawling aimlessly on the dirt. He sneaks in a bit of brandy from the bottle as he yawns at the group. Grog watches last. Wake when ready. Before long, loud snoring and foul smells come from Grog's general direction. Last watch perception roll. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Grog sighs heavily and puts the map away before answering Ignatious. Bout halfway there. Grog said he would keep you small legs safe... Try anyway. Slow heroes need rest... Grog could be at crypt by now himself... I am hungry. His words sound short and grunty. We camp here for night. Rest. Stay quiet and maybe nothing finds you. I go get food. Be back soon. He draws his shortbow and wanders off a short distance to collect sustenance for the group from the surrounding area. Once every 24 hours - "Get along in the wild" Survival check to forage food and drink for the group. DC 10. Can provide for one other person for every 2 exceeding the DC. The group traveled roughly 20 miles today. Grog's half speed overland movement is 20 miles/day (8 hours). Survival: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

Grog slows down to let the others catch up. He assures the gnome that he is well and uninjured. Must all be part of the test. So far testing patience most... How can ones so small be chosen for test of strength? Don't have a cart to carry back dead bodies. He nods and waits in silence until the others are ready to proceed.
