The Great Kraken barely keeps his feet under him, so telling are his bloody wounds.... His green face, a twisted mask of bestial fury, grows pale from loss of blood, and his mighty limbs tremble with weakness.... But orcish ferocity keeps him fighting when less savage warriors might have succumbed to their wounds....
After Derrik: The Great Kraken roars in rage and pain.... Damn you, wench!! Get out here and heal me!! he roars over his shoulder at the cult priestess back in the room behind him.... Concentration check to take more than a single action due to Rheumy Refrain fails.... *HACK!!* *COUGH!!* He unleashes his rage on Mikey Jay with a single swing of his double axe....
Yingzen lands a cut on the GK's forearm that deals 9 slashing damage.... GRAAAH!!! ....but the backswing is parried by one of the double axe's heads with a ringing CLANG!! of steel on steel....

Yingzen strikes from the shadows as the Great Kraken passes by, slashing the brute for 11 damage.... ARRRRGH!!
A monstrous, heavily muscled Orc, clad in furs and breastplate, and brandishing a double-headed axe, roars and charges from the back room, passing within reach of Yingzen.... Perception vs Yingzen's 35 Stealth check fails, making the brute susceptible to a sneak attack.... The Great Kraken continues his charge at Derrik (even if struck by Yingzen--the brute's momentum carries him forward).... Raging charge with Orc double axe hacks into Derrik for 18 slashing damage!

As The FOs draw nearer, one of the voices seems somewhat less than human--deep and gravelly, almost a bestial growling.... The Great Shark was an unworthy fool, and a coward! He and his so-called "Barracudas" were all cowards who skulked in the shadows! Let me find out where these "thorns" are hiding, and I will flay them alive and feast on their flesh, in the name of Dread Cthulhu! |
