The third son of minor Brevoy nobleman, Gerion* was not allowed the inheritance of his brothers rather he was encouraged to join the priesthood of Abadar from an early age. This did not go down well with young Gerion who set his sight on loftier if less certain goals. This culminated in him leaving the safety of New-Stetven after a row with his father to pursue the life of a Bard, paying for his tuition and instruments with an impressive amount of stolen gold and the patronage of an estranged relative of his mother, one Professor Lorromir.
Gerion precociously excelled at his studies earning the admiration of many of his teachers, however this new found success led the young man to develop a high opinion of his own abilities which more often than not crosses into arrogance. This is especially true of his ability as a swordsman which he will enthuse to anyone who will listen.That being said, Gerion's verse and poetry (especially that which is written in Skaldic) is not without some merit.
At some point Gerion worked as an informant for the crown Brevoy, this included a brief spell in working:Avistan,Cheliax and Osirion (Gerion has an arm tattoo commonly associated with tribesmen of the Mwagnai expanse). Gerion remains cagey about this period of his life unwilling to give out any solid details.
Like many Bards Gerion has found himself with a vast slew of contacts spanning most of the Inner Sea. Of course not all of the people Gerion has met are well disposed to him and the young Lord-ling has racked up a large amount of debt with some very dangerous people. Gerion has thus developed multiple unique personas for different situations usually in order to ingratiate himself with or avoid other people (A side effect of his childhood in New-Stetven), though he does slip from these roles when there is no benefit to using them.
However if this vexes Gerion he doesn't show it, the young bard maintains a cheery disposition and an easy smile. His luck has held so far and Gerion is convinced it will hold at least a little longer.
*Gerion Coldmarrow is a Taldane corruption of his true name which derives from a Skaldic root.
