Tal makes a note of the house symbol before he follows the others into the inn. He tries to sit in a position at the table away from the other patrons so as to not cause a fuss.

Tal is perhaps to eager to help. "I will make sure they don't rise again." To Rehil, "I will take your word for it friend Rehil. As long as we make progress to finding out whos loosening the binds of the Rakasha."

once all the bloody skeletons are don't it should only take a channel to keep them down correct?

Plains

As they walk away from the office Tal inquires, "What are these 'dragon marked houses'? As bad as some things in this age are, the only thing I've seen worthy of extinction are the Rakasha and their ilk."

I don't remember if Tal had the concept explained to him already or not.

The Post Plains

Tal looks back and forth between the station master and Wultram, his frustration with "modern" business deals beginning to show. They will be moved shortly, just let them stand there! In an effort to move things along, Tal shrugs and offers, "I can stand watch over them while arrangements are made for a permanent storage location."

The plains
Sensing the fear in some, Tal makes sure to make no moves that might provoke a reaction. Wultram is doing a good job explaining our needs and the halflings seem more comfortable talking to him anyway. As farewells are made, Tal gives a short bow. Replying to Wultram, "I shall accompany you though I fear I will get similar reactions in town. They might not have expressed it but some of the guards were fearful of me and I can't really blame them."

Sounds good to me with the equipment. I've already got high saves just for being a paladin so someone else can take the cloak.

If I did the math right, my equipment value is almost 11000gp.

Tal takes a step back as Wultram explains their needs. Concerned at what was whispered about him, he studies Sinte for a shift in attitude.

"I am General Tal'Va'Nocht, Priest of Dol Arrah, General of Dol Arrah's First Tender's Regiment, Bodyguard to Ancient Orzaxes, er... retired of course." Tal gives a short bow with his arms crossed in salute. "As my companion said, it is nice to see one of your race greet strangers without using arrows. We've had a rough go of things on the plains and have had to resort to less than pleasant means of protection and transport. Thank you for your restraint upon seeing our escorts. Please do not fear them for they are quite under control and if that were to change, I will personally destroy them."

Tal slides down off the trike and starts walking with Rehil. "Let us hope we can still talk even though we showed up with a hoard of undead."

The plains

Tal finishes his ministrations with Rehil before watching Wultram and his ritual. He stifles the disapproving look on his face before Wultram is finished. A means to an end.

Once the transportation is ready Tal gathers his belongings and climbs onto the skeleton. "Don't worry friend Wultram, I can put them down if the need arises."

"Thank you friend Rehil, that was the result I was hoping for. It was not my primary focus but my basic military training included some blade work. I was supposed to keep the foot soldiers fighting under me standing."

Are the skeletons you create technically evil? If so I can heal them with my channels using alignment channel.

"He will be mended soon enough." Tal stays as he wrote of his blades. There is a flash in his eyes as the healing matrix takes effect. "Come, let's give Wultram room to work." Tal moves far enough away that his powers won't wake up the slain dino and begins to pray.

Tal doesn't really mind walking but understands how useful a mount would be. He keeps on the lookout for a suitable dino.

"A long hike isn't the worst thing. You are kind to let us travel with you. I will defer to my companions on if we can accept. I'm afraid I don't know the geography of this time as well as I should." Tal begins packing up the items of value from the slain halflings that Wultram identified.

Anyone want to carry anything on their person? I'm thinking mainly the oils or potions.

Woo lvl 7! Another lvl of paladin. hp roll: 1d10 ⇒ 3 bringing it up to the average makes it 5+1 hp. Extra d6 for lay on hands. Extra 1d6 channeling pool. Lvl 1 paladin spells. Add the lvl 5 oracle haunted curse spells to my list. For the feat I'll get alignment channel (evil) so I can qualify for holy vindicator next lvl.

Tal stands before the fallen shaman breathing heavy. He nods thanks to Rehil for his skill with the blade.

"Thank the gods. Is everyone alright? That fire blast took a lot out of me. Give me a moment and I'll patch myself up." Tal's eyes glow for a moment as he reestablishes the link to his companions. He begins the ritual rejuvenate himself and those around him.

Pause Tal's channelling when the elves come back to us. I don't want to be rude. Spoilered for space

Tal tumbles to the ground as the animated dinosaur crumbles beneath him. Luckily his training keeps him from major harm. Finding himself face to face with the triceratops, he fights for his life with three crossing slashes.

Tal takes the full force of the radiant fire nearly knocking him out. He quickly channels healing to mitigate the trauma.

That's a lot of will saves.

Tal grits his teeth as the negative energy washes over him. He glances around in astonishment as halflings tumble from their mounts. He snaps back to the situation at hand just in time to deflect the thrust with his shield.

He focuses inwards to replenish some of his life force that was both taken away and freely given. He once again strikes out at the halflings clinging to the t- rex.

Rehil heals 5 and Tal takes 5 from life link.

Tal, suprised by the halflings tactics, draws the rest of his close range weapons giving a swipe as they jump on. He unleashes crossing swings intending to keep the halflings away from Wultram. "Focus on the ones on the ground. We'll handle the ones up here!"

Tal leans in to Rehil as Wultram gets angry again. "Are we getting kicked out of another meeting?" Tal whispers. Only being around him for so long do you recognize the hissing as laughter. "Wultram, I'm sure they meant no offense about this war he speaks of."

I don't think Tal has been updated on current events right?

"Ever since I was awoken I just kind of followed them around. They were there to find me for a reason and I must find out what that reason is. They have also been my guides in this time. I trust their wisdom. Though I must add, where I am from, the fighting was constant. I would have given much for a respite. Choosing to find a fight seems foolish."

I... don't know what became of the rest of my people. I was fighting along side the great Orzaxes in what was hopefully the final battle against the Rakshasas. I thought I was dead yet here I stand."

Seeing the elves are strong of military might, Tal does his ceremonial arms crossed salute from his military days. "Greetings Toralaes, as my companion says, I am Tal'Va'Nocht, former general in the dragon armies that fought against the rakshasa many ages ago. We appreciate you not attacking us on sight despite our other companion's... servants. You all seem to be much more reasonable people than the halflings we met."

I suppose being ok at diplomacy would be helpful in this situation...

Tal follows Rehil off the dino and puts a hand on hold shoulder to stop him. "I'll go. Your skill with a bow would be more helpful from afar if it came to that."

Tal keeps his weapons sheathed but close at hand while he walks out to meet the elves.

Talk looks on the approaching figures and makes sure his weapons are in easy reach. Wultram has been a steady ally so far but Tal knows nothing of these Valinar. Wultram has proven himself to be trustworthy ally, his opinion of these folk takes precedence.

The Plains
Sliding off the Rex Tal does some stretches to unwind from riding. He looks around getting a lay off the land looking for spots ambushers might use to suprise them. He sits with his companions while they eat, nibbling on the food Rehil manages to find out of respect for his foraging abilities. When things wind down Tal finds a comfortable place to meditate. He unconsciously gathers wisps of the Silver Flames power to sustain and recharge him. An hour later he is refreshed and ready to watch over his companions as they sleep.
