It takes Dusty some time; however, he is able to decipher the short, essay like text "Common Species of East Sea and Their Migration Tendencies". It appears to translate in a smaller, prophetic verse; …And onto us the 5th deity came. The escutcheon, he came forth from the desert. Through a land of deserts and of pits. Through a land of drought and of deep darkness. Through a land that no one crossed and where no man any longer dwells. He moved forward onto us for his fathers and his mothers denied us. His fathers and mothers denied us and they fell in the desert. For their sins they died in the desert. He came to take up his divine position as the shield. And then there was death behind him. And there was nothing in front of him. He looked upon this with sadness. But still he became the rampart. The ward. The voice of one crying in the desert. MAKE READY THE WAY OF CLAUDANDIS, MAKE HIS PATHS STRAIGHT…FOR HE IS THE BULWARK! According to Kal, there are 16 more texts of Norgorber...
Here is the decision I have reached regarding Hero Points for cohorts, NPC's, companions, etc. (thanks for your input Lock). 1.) They will have to share the point pool with your main PC. 2.) Only one of you can use the poins in any given round. I think this is a fair compromise. I am open to opinions and suggestions up until the cut off.
Hero Points will probably play a big role on Saturday. You should be up to speed on ways you can use them. You each have 3. According to the rules; NPC's, animal companions, cohorts and mounts do not receive them. This means that Kal and Logan would be without hero points. I am not convinced this is how it should be. Kal is already at a level disadvantage and Logan is as much a PC as any one else in the party. Targoth and Lock, if you feel Kal or Logan should have Hero Points, email me to discuss. The same cut off will apply of 5-28-15.
Yes. Your crafted weapons will be treated as masterwork. Lock raises and interesting point, what equipment do you have once you strip away your magic items? This will be important. Once in the cathedral I won't allow any "I forgot's" or "well my character would have's".... Dusty, I will gladly accept your 73 gold to help retrain some of Norgorber's HP. Thanks!
***OF SPECIAL NOTE*** When you create your two character sheets, along with no magic items;
Su & Ex abilities are up for discussion and will be handeled on a case by case basis. Let me know which ones you have and I will determine if any of them will function in the Cathedral.
Our next gaming session will primarily focus on the Test of the Starstone. If we get thru it all, you will have Mythic tiers to add to your character sheet as a reward. Here is what will be required of you at the gaming table; 1.) Have TWO copies of your character sheet ready to go; adjusted to reflect ZERO magic items. 2.) Think of the character/gamer that typically sits to your left. Take some time, and jot some some notes about their play style (typical actions, decisions, tactics, etc.). Pending attendance, you should be preparing as such; (Starting at my typical left); Tim (Rusk) = Bob (Targoth). Bob (Targoth) = Mike (Lock OR Logan). Mike (Lock OR Logan) = TJ (Dusty). TJ (Dusty) = Rat (Claudandis). Rat (Claudandis) = Tim (Rusk). Graham (Briston) = Mike (Lock OR Logan). It should be easy enough for those of you who may have to act as Lock or Logan to prepare for both. Logan isnt that convoluted....he flies and he eats s%~~....and he's pretty good at it. If for whatever reason someone cannot make it, I will sub as needed/where needed. This could be a time consuming process, so it is key that we all show up prepared. If you cannot get extra character sheets please advise and I will try to get you some. Let me know if you have any questions.
The Heroes of The Well (Written & Performed by Abner Greenway III) Going forth to save the world Seven heroes tried and true. The half-elf and his faithful ass The little mage....confused. The ugliest chef in all the realm A bouncer to clear the room. An islander without a home The wolverine and........who? Going forth to face a God The hour of judgement is soon. Honor? Courage? Sacrifice? It's probably just the booze!!
You can use Targoth's 38 Diplo with an assist from the "intimidators" or vise versa. I will grant more gold based on how much you beat the DC by; however, there is a big difference between Diplomacy and Intimidating... Basically, you would fill your immediate need and possibly suffer a long term consequence because nothing goes unpunished in Chandar!!!! Let me know how you intend to proceed.
DustyHalfElf wrote: I will politely intimidate Eldak to give us more gold... I make Eldak my studied target giving me a +3. Any buffs others could provide will help. I rolled a 5, which makes my intimidate a 42 plus whatever buffs I can get from party members. I emailed you all actual footage of Dusty's passive aggressive intimidate.
Regarding the visions; They were intended to show you events from your past that shaped you and images from your future. Targoth, Rusk, Lock, Dusty and Briston all saw visions in which Low Town, its citizens and their armies were completely annihilated. A vision that became reality upon their return to Low Town. As Scorpion-Smiling Ric yelled....I took it all from you! everything! Claudandis's vision was different. As he stated, he was standing at the edge of East Island. There was no sun, no moon, no stars...the world just was. Behind him was pain and death, before him was darkness and confusion. This could mean anything; Maybe it is describing your upcoming journey through Abaddon? Maybe there is only darkness and confusion ahead because "someone" or "something" did not plan for Claudandis...maybe you caught something by surprise and it had no vision to prepare or future to toy with....maybe that gives you an advantage?
Dusty, you have a few thoughts. First, Eldak may be interested but he would probably use them to do something awful. The Caladrel use forest drakes (a cousin of the green dragon) to protect the West Brimwood, maybe they would want to upgrade; however, you risk being arrested for high treason by traveling there. Last, Smiling Ric would probably love to have them! Claudandis, the vision you had....you are correct and it should be taken into consideration before you start hopping planes.
