![]() “We’ve got a situation up here now!” calls the Potentate in answer to Halstadt’s echoing call from below. “Ilm-aello has captured a gas cloud, possibly a passenger from the potion room way above us.” “I’m not yet sure if it’s Suekahn or not.” To Hurgah, Karek, Xerissa and Donkor he adds, “Truly our band were ever cursed be split in twain. What should we do now?” OOC: Moonpate joins the mass cast of delays. ![]()
![]() Lydia of Sothis wrote: "Wha? What is that?" "That, I believe, is someone or something under the mystical effects of a potion of gaseous form - encased in a cage of air, courtesy of my loyally conjured air elemental, Ilma aello." "As for just who that someone is, I believe we will find out the answer to that, when the gaseous form runs out." "As my Master says, you can't read tea leaves on a Wealday, while the tea is still to be drunk." ![]()
![]() A mischievous look falls across the wizard's face and his mouth contorts as he shouts in the whooshing sounds of Auran: Auran speakers only:
"Ilma aello! GRAB THAT CLOUD!!!" Post for the air elemental to follow Then, Overhearing the Mithral Scarab's explanation to Hurgah: "Didn't Halstadt say his faith-leaders sent him to find Ahn'Sehlota to stop an evil from escaping? Suekahn has to be it!" Suddenly distracted by Lydia's wounds, he adds, "What did he do to you child?" -----
OOC: Gandel is next and then the Scarab to finish the round. ![]()
![]() "Gentlemen," says the rotund wizard, "and lady, of course," he adds acknowledging Xerissa, "I do believe our transportation to the level below has arrived." And, with a flourish of his hand, a micro-rift opens in the center of the room. With a soft hiss, a current of air escapes. The cloud-like wisp coalesces into the transparent outline of a winged snake. The snake bows its head to the wizard and the pair exchange quick greetings in Auran. OOC: Moonpate summons an augmented Medium air elemental - Ilma-aello to be more precise. This is the same air elemental Moonpate summoned in the battle in the desert in which the Dune Squad briefly commandeered a palanquin golem. The wizard and his air elemental ally quickly exchange greetings and Moonpate explains his current need. The elemental transforms itself into a floating hand and outstretches itself into an open palm, creating an even surface almost five-feet in diameter. The five-fingered hand then flies into the shaft and hovers just below the lip. "Anyone headed down below can count on Ilma-aello for a very swift but safe decent.,” announces the wizard to all. “But take care, just one at a time please." The Potentate then gestures towards the giant double doors and barks a new set of commands. This time in the much more gruff alien tongue of Terran. Dignon and Cragg-el respond. They halt their decontruction of the sand wall and turn their attention to the double doors on the east side of the chamber. Apparently, Hurgah decides the command was meant for him as well. He joins the elemental clan brothers. Wedging his thick fingers in the crack between the great doors, he forces them apart, swinging them inwards. Yes, a Strength check was required, and a freakin 29 will do it, without even needing the aid rolls of the twin elementals. KA-CRACK! What lies beyond the doors is. . . ![]()
![]() Ooops! Cross-posted with Jace. Let me try to reconcile it. I tell ya, I take the wheels for one minute and I drive it off the road. Hurgah the Reaver wrote: "Hurgah goes where his employer wishes him to go. If this heap of camel dung fears for his skin, he can step aside and hide behind a dune until we pass." Moonpate turns just before he rides away, "Tut, tut large-muscled-bodyguard-that-I-employ. I wish, like a young man rubbing a lamp imprisoning a noble genie, that you permit me to entreat Master Ovaron in conversation while you watch over my safety from a distance." ![]()

OOC: My congrats to your cousin. No doubt the congrats of a beetle on the internet will mean a lot to him. And best wishes on your interview! Since there's nothing of great gravity going on at the moment, let me take you up on your offer and advance things a little. "Young gritty priest? Perhaps if you would be so kind as to organize our men-at-arms such that they form a read guard at a healthy distance? That way with the good Khymrasa to our front and my men to the rear, the remainder of our travels will go without molestation." The Potentate shoots Donkor a wink. "Plucky diminutive assistant? Old woman guide whose name I can never recall? If you two would be so kind as to accompany me? We want to look our best for the Exemplar now. As my Master always says, a planar dimension folds on itself, not on the man who walks within it." At that Moonpate rides forward (together with anyone joining him) and joins up with Ovaron, explaining the arrangement. |
