Hey, is anyone interested in a Grippli/Skinwalker/catfolk boon? I’m donating it.

Hello everyone, Heroes for Highdelve module is currently not on the list for reporting.

What should I do?

Thanks

Yes, I can haz boon! :-D

Can you PM me your email address.

You can all roll for boons.

1 and 20 wins on d20.

boon? : 1d20 ⇒ 5

CHRONICLE SHEETS

Please see above. I hope all is correct.

Can you all please check the slide with the chronicle sheet information?

After the ride of your life you land in Highdelve and can finally enjoy the jubilee!

You also see the dragon in human form when the town welcomes you all!

What you do with the rest of your time ... only you can tell!

Feel free to do some final RP. ;-) END OF MODULE

You can see that she is content to see you appreciate the presents which truly look identical to her perfect form.

”Now,” she says, unfurling her magnificent wings. ”would you care to ride in the cart as I carry the cart of brightblooms, along with the children, back to Highdelve?”

You see the golden pendant levitate in the golden dragon’s direction and it vanishes when touching her scales.

She looks at you for a while.

”Please accept these as a token of my appreciation.“

Four statuettes of gold dragons with diamonds for eyes appear out of thin air and levitate to your hands.

The dragon raises an eyebrow when hearing your tone ... silence follows for several seconds.

”Thank you, travelers, for protecting the people of Highdelve, and for recovering my amulet. Truly, you are the heroes these people needed. Let me commend you, as well, for sparing the lives of those children that belong to this town ... I will take care that they are loved and brought back to this community!“ she says with a rumbling female voice.

The dragon nods at all of you with respect.

“I was surprised to see that they really were so eager to harm the one thing that means so much to me … Highdelve. The blood sacrifice combined with the depletion of all magic in these Thassilonian items was necessary to make the giant invulnerable to my attacks. But … you were here!“ the dragon says and it’s golden scales move as it raises its head in thought.

After you have defeated the ettin and recovered the golden pendant, you emerge from the cave to find yourselves ... face to face with Aurelliax in her true form (picture in the slide deck).

She is a magnificent mature adult gold dragon whose presence dwarfs your own.

You only hear a ...

"Erghhhh .... ahrghhrrhhrhh ..." of the Ettin now in his unconscious form.

Clinging to the foul skin of the Ettin you find a beautiful, glittering golden pendant in the shape of a dragon's head which was smeared with blood. You can easily search the rest of the cavern, finding nothing but filth.

Additionally, a ring and several Thassilonian relics are bound to the Ettin's right hand.

Kn arcana or planes or religion DC 15:

The markings which were cut into the skin of the Ettin are diabolic runes which could be used to protect giants from draconic beings with the right focus. Together with the ring as well as the relics, the amulet could serve as exactly that focus. Essentially, you assume that Aureliax would not have been able to protect the town as it would not have been able to harm this Ettin.

The woman that the Ettin dropped is probably Gilda Korgren, the mother of the Tiefling. She also has runes carved all over her body.

Heal DC 10:
It looks as if she died from these rune injuries and not through the hands of the Ettin.

After a while of binding and hitting the weakened giant with your saps, the Ettin is unconscious.

It takes at least a minute to go back and return.

will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

The big giant suddenly shifts to the ground and is sleeping!

2 rounds of sleep

Ac 13

Thanks

After a minute of moving through the caverns and exploring, you hear the loud *snap* of a chain breaking, followed by a bellow of triumph and loud, thudding footsteps.

Suddenly, a large, two-headed beast comes into view, wielding a nasty-looking flail in one hand and holding the dead, crushed body of an aged woman in the other hand.

The two-headed giant is wearing a large pendant that you clearly recognize as the pendant that was granted by the dragon to the town of Highdelve.

But you also see that strange cords are attached to the amulet and it is blood-covered.

+++++++++
All over the Ettin’s body strange bloody runes are carved into its skin.

Kn(arcana or religion or planes) DC 15:

These are diabolic runes which could be used to protect giants from draconic beings with the right focus. And the amulet could serve as exactly that focus. Essentially, you assume that Aureliax would not have been able to protect the town as it would not have been able to harm this Ettin.

Initiative

ini (Theolish): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
ini (kyra): 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (11) + 0 = 11
ini (Kageryu): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
ini(Torgen): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13 ini(Kiliuk): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

ini +1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Please note that it is dark in here. I assume you have a light source but those without low-light vision have problems due to concealment 20% at range 30 ft.

What is that? Knowledge (local) DC 13:

This is the a weakened Ettin! A large, two-headed humanoid (giant), this one seems to be in a weakened state. For every 5 by which you beat the DC you may ask a question about it.

Round 1

All except of Kiliuk are up!

Torgen: We keep that roll for age you encounter the Ettin.

These cramped corridors smell like fungus and rot.

Perception DC 15:

You can hear a violent thudding sound as well as muffled roaring coming from deeper within the cave.

Ridges on the map represent sloping passages downward. Squares that are sloped are difficult terrain. Are you taking your time and exploring the area, or moving quickly to find the creature?

You searched the bodies.

Tiefling Combat Gear: potion of cure light wounds; Gear padded armor, light crossbow with 10
crossbow bolts, short sword, thieves’ tools.

Richelle and Tolwing each (so 2x): Combat Gear potion of cure light wounds, mwk arrows (5),
tanglefoot bag (2), thunderstone (2); leather armor, longbow with 20 arrows, longsword, 48 gp.

You all move to the cave entrance.

This rock face towers nearly 30 feet and is punctuated in the middle with the dark opening of a cave mouth.

As you enter, the dank scent of moss hangs heavy in the air as the gloom in the cave thickens. Some daylight filters in to the mouth of the cave (the entryway is in low-light), but the caverns receding deeper in on either side are completely dark.

How do you want to deal with light, and what is your marching order/algorithm as you proceed into this cave?

You can just use the potions. Nothing will be deducted from any gold at the end of the scenario for using consumables. They are free to use and actually vanish at the end of the scenario so it is best to just use them.

Before you leave he looks up and speaks up.

"Just be careful ... in the cave ... it's a giant! For sure! I've only read about them before. Feran and his mother said they are preparing it in that cave. It looks weird, though. Two heads, and these mangled limbs. It smells horrible. But the cave was so dark, we couldn't really see it well. I was the one who got up close to it. Be careful!" he says.

Dwarves know that he is talking about an Ettin. If any of you want to roll knowledge(local) please do so.

I learned that only after the con is over will all boons be sent out.

Tolwin looks at the sleeping Richelle and he clearly is uncertain how to take your speech.

"Look, I ... I want us build our own path, ok! But ... but where should we go? We have nothing except of this here and now ... now we can never go back to Highdelve." he says and it is obvious that he seeks a solution quite desperately.

"Redemption is still possible. You injured, but did not seriously hurt or kill, the Bloomgivers. That shows you have not gone too far off the path to be helped. But you must start here and now with this tiefling and what you were doing with him and what he is planning. Prove to the Mayor, and everyone else in Highdelve, that you still care about the community."

He is confused.

"We ... only know that the tiefling and his mother wanted to conduct a ritual and unleash something on the jubilee to distract the townsfolk so that he could do something ... we do not know what. And we also do not know where his mother is ... she has been in the cave for ages now with this amulet we stole. Please ... we just stay here and wait for you, ok? Please?!?" she pleads.

Kiliuk tell him

Tolwing looks surprised.

"You ... you are Pathfinders? We .. we had a letter from our father! The only piece that connected us to him. But ... we ... we do not have the letter anymore! Feran and his mother Gilda made us ... made us burn everything that tied us to our roots. I ... I do not know how we did what we did! We have to wake up!" he says between sobs.

She's fine...she's just taking a nap...see for yourself... Kyra says as she points to her position.

Not that you made it easy for us. fortunately for you we showed mercy and only used our weapons meant to subdue. Mind telling us what that whole thing is with the other kids..
[dice=diplomacy]1d20+6

Tolwin looks at Kyra with a nod and more angrily at the others.

”Who ... who are you people!? We ... we can still ... hurt you?!he says but it is clear that he lacks the morale to really continue to fight.

After a couple of seconds, the sleeping Tolwin wakes up.

“Wha … what is going on? Where is Richelle?! I’ll kill you if you hurt her!“ he shouts.

You bind the three enemies and start to heal your wounds.

What’s next?

Kyra is able to strike the Tiefling again and he falls immediately to the ground. He’s clearly bleeding.

Only Kyra can hit the tiefling and the enemy retaliates with shortsword strike that targets Kyra but can’t penetrate the armor.

short sword : 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 81d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

“Arghhhh!!“ the Tiefling shouts in pain.

You are all up.

The tiefling’s shortsword targets Kyra and can’t penetrate the armor.

short sword : 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 131d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

“These idiots! I’ll finish you!!“ the Tiefling shouts.

You are all up.

Richelle immediately drops from the sap attack.

And the Tiefling resisted the sleep attempt.

will : 1d20 ⇒ 19

The mace hits the girl hard but she is not down, yet! And Torgen misses her.

stealth : 1d20 + 8 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 8 + 10 = 23
perception Torgen : 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

Suddenly, from behind a boulder a cloaked figure with horn and a white face appears!

His shortsword targets Torgen’s back and pierces his lungs. Blood is everywhere and the dwarf drops to the ground.

short sword vs flat footed AC : 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 151d6 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 1 + (6) = 12

“Kill them!!! Kill them all Richelle!!“ the Tiefling shouts.

The girls drops her bow and draws her long sword and attacks Kiliuk but the barbarian is not easily hit!!

long sword : 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 151d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

You are all up. Torgen has to make a stabilization roll.

Blackrose and Redelia, can you please fill out the sheet with chronicle sheet information in the slides please.
